I would be Ok with it if the new Granite were basically a huge stone exoskeleton.
My stone tank dates back to the original Stone Armor set, so I went through the original "poo armors." I'd be a little dissapointed if Granite went back to just a full-body Stone.
If, on the other hand, it were something that looked a little bit like the current Granite, but with your character partially exposed on the front/top of it... That would be awesome. -
It won't scale them down to the player's level. The only time it scales down is when the mission's highest level is below the critter's lowest level.
Basically, if you set the mission's max level to 30, the AV would spawn at 30. If the mission were set for 1-30, it would still spawn at 30, even if a level 1 started the mission. Since the AV's natural minimum is 40, that's the lowest it'll spawn unless the mission's max level is dropped. -

The title is a complete lie, just now I saw a group of Outcasts trying to break into a bus stop. They are still doing things that make absolutely no sense.
Of course I do wonder what happens when they successfully break into an open air buss stop.

I always figured they were vandalizing them. Like, chiseling in their gang tags or something.
It would probably make more sense if there were spraypaint or marker emotes for them to be using, though. -

One small change/option I'd like to see added is the ability for people to not only see your handle when you chat, but also have the option of seeing your current character name as well.
Leave this as an option for the message sender to turn on or off.
Right now their messages appear in chat as:
handle: msg
and with the option on their message would look like
handle(charname): msg
This is because I notice one of the most pervasive GC questions is "Who are you on as?"

As a workaround, bind a key to "beginchat /send channelname [$name] " (traling space after the last bracket, replace channelname with the name of the channel). That will make all your messages show up as Global Handle: [Character Name] -
That really was a terrible article. Aside from the date thing, it was just... bad. Nobody proofread the thing at all, apparently.
Though I do hope Statesman wears that cape around the office, and walks around with his arms out going "Whooooosh!" That would officially make Cryptic the best place ever to work.
