  1. Not everyone has Perma-Dom, nor can have\afford it at early levels. FE is Level 16; a stage in the game where damage bonus between Dominations is welcome and probably through to the 30s. Certainly going to take it on my Deviant Plants/Thorns.

    Seriously, I do find both sets to be alright. Since you're a PvPer you might have higher standards than I do tho. My xp at PvP is very little so I won't even argue in that field.

    Sonic can't possibly be balanced, my Sonic/Sonic dipped her toe in Siren's a while back and a Spines/Regen (with a very high opinion of themselves *SHOCK*) wasn't able to slaughter me. I assume I got petitioned for haxing.

    We are talking about the same mobs that don't notice gunfire, explosions and the pitter patter of armoured feet in the next room, right?

    I still say Sonic Dispersion should have Sleep Res, I mean it's a bubble of music and as I live under a guitarist I can tell you music keeps me from sleeping.
  5. I asked about the ally bit as I think some text is still out of date, but what's new about that?

    The animation is the same as Rad Blast's Neutron Bomb; form a large bubble then throw up into the air, it arcs over to them and crashes down with a kinda flattening out explosion.

    At least that's what I remember the one time I saw it.

    Trying to compare ATs side by side is a little silly; Tankers and Brutes, Scrappers and Stalkers, Controllers and Dominators. Some may look the same, but they are to be played differently.

    In the end you're never better off rolling a defender, I mean they get 'Vigilance'.
  7. My Fearsome Stare is six-slotted with Fear and ToHit sets (4xGlimpse 2xDark Watcher) and with Darkest Night running it's very hard to hit myself or a team, especially as I spam Tentacles and Night Fall from all angles.

    Also Grasp and DN do -DMG ontop, which softens the blow.

    There's also the super secret -Regen of Grasp and Howler, which you really notice soloing Arachnoids and EBs.

    And then there's Howler's mass-Stun usage, which as you get to later levels you might find is the best use of Howler.

    It's all good.
  8. Is Repulsion Bomb the targeted ally? I remember seeing the arcing ball flying into a mob once and can't recall an ally in there.

    Oh well, moderate damage and knockdown, working with concept, get a tank, brute, scrapper, or hell a blapper in the middle of it all as a target and it's raining gooballs in the near future.
  9. Working with the all Dom team, and with other nature lovers I've teamed with, Spirit Tree can be VERY nice in long battles and a lil helpfulness otherwise.

    I concur with the Level 38 blasts, Psi has a very nice PBAoE whilst the rest tend to focus on a ST attack, never truly feels like a 'final attack'.
  10. Oddly enough I've found my Dark/Dark, Sonic/Sonic and Fire/Dark to be heaps more fun than any combo of */Kin I've tried, though I have kept my Fire/Kin due to concept. Okay so Dark/* isn't the quickest killer, but all that -Acc meant Posi, Manti and so many others couldn't hardly touch me.

    Fire/Dark is a given for fun though, at level 12 decimating 8-man multi-aggro'd mobs with Tar Patch, Rain of Fire and Fire Breath just feels like you typed in GodMode some afternoons.
  11. Stalkers have exclusiveness of /Ninja secondary, that is and always should be theirs. Stalkers share more with Brutes and Scrappers, the only thing from Tanks is Energy Melee and that is with Brutes all the same.

    Traps is shared with Corrs, the only difference being the Tier 9; one is a timed explosion whilst the other is a pet exploding.

    Tankers have the Ice primary and secondary as exclusives..well the primary especially. Once a brute set on beta, but it kinda inversed fury building. Who knew -Speed, -Recharge would do that?

    I still stand by a Corruptor blast, just for shinies.
  12. Any nature lover I've teamed with has said the same regarding the combo, it has a shakey late-teens/early-20s after what feels like a powerhouse start.

    But pushing to the 30s really turns it around, especially when Carrion Creepers is picked up at 26, huge vines sparking up out of the ground is always fun to see and keeps enemies together.

  14. This thread jumped out from a case of err and has merrily run aground elsewhere on the globe.

    I'd never agree that Corruptors are broke, borked or even bjork. I love them, I find them more enjoyable than a blaster, and defenders only appealed after I realised I can turn them into inverse-corruptors (or you know..just Offenders).

    I'd just like a primary we can laude over others, much like Electrical Blast, don't think I haven't seen it lauded at me.

    That opportunity seems to have passed though, I personally never saw why Tankers got Dual Blades as it just screams 'ME SCWAPPAH' and after teaming with a few */DB Tanks and hearing other horror stories I still wonder why, but if they had left it out then the forum would be tipped upside down by an angry mob.


    **On a different note: Ruptors? Why would you want to make a lovely AT sound like something you whisper bashfully to your doctor.

  15. Unfortunately the time of the 'exclusive' set seems to have passed.

    Any AT gaining exclusive rights would be deemed unfair, overpowered and anything else jealous eyes want to come up with just so they can play a Pistols Defender...because nothing screams defending more than a hail of bullets.
