I am looking at your "4.0.4" build and WANT.
Question: With inherent fitness now, I was looking to pick up Aim, Arm Lash and Frenzy, but now I'm torn. You don't have the kick/tough/weave in that build and it seems to have decent defense- would you go that path now that the three fitness powers are free?
I'm not really interested in a gazillion pets, though plan to take the disruptors for help with bosses. (tempted to eventually drop 4 Soulbound Allegiance into it for the set bonuses.)
What I want is to be the walking AOE God of Death, and pile the corpses of my enemies at my feet. (okay, a few feet in front of my feet. Wouldn't want them to actually *touch* my august personage.)
I want to try Omega Maneuver, because I've never seen it. I have no idea how to slot it, though.
Help me be the crab that I can be!

We have characters with a pulp/dime store novel background, (think 1920s-1930s) so I think it wouldn't be too far a stretch.

Our nascent steampunk/Girl Genius -inspired/gaslamp fantasy villain group (did I cover all my bases there?) is hosting "Automata Trooper Tuesday!"
Keeping with the 19th century/Victorian steampunk theme, the goal is to field a full team of 8 Assault Rifle/Sonic "clank"(robot) soldiers, sporting the same model and names. By using all caps, one can alternate Os for zeros in the name AUTOMATA TROOPER to make eight different characters.
We will start in Mercy Island and run the Burke story arc together. Eventually, as the group levels up, they will be able to run a "rolling barrage" where one portion hits a spawn with Full Auto while another section debuffs and a third section uses Flamethrower. Then each section rotates duties, so that there is always troopers with Full Auto and with Flamethrower ready for non-stop carnage!

I'm afraid that a totally new base building system would break/invalidate every existing base, and the fury that would cause will be the reason the devs decline to do it. (If I'd put hundreds of hours into building a base, I'd be upset if it were wiped away, too.)
The only way I can see it possibly happening is that the new system is placed alongside the old system, and the old system deprecated. New bases would have to be built in the new system, while old bases could be maintained and even expanded under the old system. Perhaps any base that hadn't been visited for a year would be deleted out of the old system. There'd need to be a way to refund the cost of the old bases to entice people to nuke it and start over from scratch.
I'm afraid that any ideas we come up with will more likely be implemented in CoH2, if and when that is designed. -

Anyone here from the beta/pre-release days may remember Ms Liberty on the forums. She was probably one of the most active and visible members of the forum. Emmert decided he liked the name and put it in the game and blocked her from using it.

With what I'm hearing about the incarnate trials, I'm thinking I may need more defense than 47%. I have the Cardiac Alpha slotted now, which means I could drop recovery bonuses for extra defense or recharge.
Speaking of Alpha slots, is Cardiac the recommended path for MA/SR, or should I go for the recharge in Spiritual and focus on recovery set bonuses? Spiritual would make Hasten closer to perma (with the attendant increased endurance usage of course.) -

This "light RP" VG will not be quite as wide open as the Anachronism Society, as members should have a backstory/theme based on the "mad science Europa" world of Girl Genius. We're planning a special weekly event for the VG involving robotic soldiers. Details forthcoming! -

Ok folks, the admin interface for Dolphin reminds me of the Churchill quote regarding Soviet Russia. In order to correct some things that were uneditable on existing accounts, I had to delete all users.
Please re-register, as things are apparently pared down now to only essential info (nickname, email, password) in the account settings.

Dolphin is mainly used for dating sites, and since my admin account was made during install, I didn't realize all the personal info it was asking for, much less that it was mandatory!

Ok, I'm going to post this link even though everything is still generic on the site. I've bought the domain http://gaslampfantasy.net/ and installed a forum. There's a Shoutbox and a real-time chat in addition to the forum.
If anyone knows of royalty-free steampunk/gaslamp illustrations or graphics, please let me know as I work on customizing the template. I'll be adding steampunk links as well, with the goal of making this a steampunk portal instead of just a SG forum. It seemed like a waste of such a nice URL to limit it so. -

I saw how dingy the Resistance armor looked with certain color settings, which is what prompted the "de-modernization" on GG's look. (That picture is too bright though.)
