That can't be true. I've never played 1 second in SG mode and I have salvage. But I can certainly believe it comes faster

It drops only if at least one member of your team is in SG mode.

Bah, I have played solo with every character I have created so far and each and every character has salvage items on them. None of my characters belong to a SG either.
