    Caltrops?

Ragnarok: Chance for Knockdown in caltrops is just a lot of fun to watch.

I like 1 recharge, 1 slow, and the rest procs.
  2. Tonight was creeptastic!

As always Virtue, thanks for coming out and making these contests a pleasure to run.

Goat will be by to post the winners.

Next week's contest will be on Monday, August 1st at 10 P.M. Eastern in the quiet room of the Skyway City AE Building. The theme will be "Attack of the Clowns."

If you're looking for inspiration, you're in luck.

There's circus clowns, rodeo clowns, whiteface clowns, auguste clowns, fast food mascots, killer clowns from outer space, ghost clowns, demonic clowns, evil clowns, sad clowns, happy clowns, Patch Adams clowns, hobo clowns, jesters, jokers, harlequins, triboulets, mimes, Shakes the Clown, The Nightmare Before Christmas clowns...

    That- that's about it.
  3. Tonight is the night you creeps!

The Creepshow starts in Grandville at 10 P.M. Eastern in front of Recluse's statue.

There's the CC and trivia with over 350 million inf in prizes.
  4. Reminder: There's just a couple more days until our "Creepshow" CC in Grandville.
So, get your creep on and come join us on Monday, July 25th at 10 P.M. Eastern.

You should be warned though. I showed MadVyking my creep costume a few days ago and he hasn't been the same since.
  5. For me, it starts with finding a good name.
I'm picky about avoiding forced misspellings, letter substitutions and odd punctuation.

The name then goes a long way towards defining the character.

    Here's my most recent:
Ophthalmologist + Thaumaturgist = The Ophthaumaturgist

With a name like that, he had to be an Illusion Controller.

It sounds very Victorian Steampunk to me, so there was my concept. I decided he would be a gadgeteer, so Trick Arrow made sense to me as a secondary.

Then I did the costume and saved it.

Next, I took him to Mids and put together what I think is a solid build. It doesn't have to be completely min-maxed, but it has to be something that I'm going to feel good about playing solo x4 to x8 after 50. He was built for recharge and perma Phantom Army.

Finally, I wrote a background story.

Everything seemed to mesh well, so I made the character.
  6. Tonight's CC was a great time as always.
We had some great costumes and a whole lot of fun.

Goat will be by soon to post the winners.

Next week we will be in Grandville.

The theme will be "Creepshow." Come decked out in your creepiest, crawliest costume and meet us under Lord Recluse's statue at 10 P.M. Eastern on Monday, July 25th.

As usual, we will have the CC and trivia with over 350 million INF in prizes.
  7. Reminder:

Tonight is the night for our "Pro Wrestling" CC at the Imperial City Auction House.

It will start at 10 P.M. Eastern and as usual, we will have trivia and 350+ million INF in prizes.

What are you gonna do when Costumania runs wild on you?
  8. Reminder:
We just have a couple more days until our "Pro Wrestling" CC at the Imperial City Auction House. It'll be this coming Monday at 10 P.M. Eastern.

As always, there will be trivia and the cc, with over 350 million INF in prizes.

I hope to see you there.

Also, if you haven't had a chance to check it out yet, the new http://www.herodawn.com/ showcases our current and past events.
  9. We had quite a few artists work on the site.

I think the group shot was primarily drawn by Twizdedsoul with Lord Goat doing the colors.
  10. http://www.herodawn.com/

Our new home on the web is open for business!

Doomie and Lord Goat have been working hard on this site for quite a while and now we're ready to share it.

Please feel free to check it out and let us know what you think.
  11. What a groovy group of ghosts and ghouls!

Last night's "Scooby Doo Villains" cc was a lot of fun.

I may sound like a broken record here, but you folks never fail to impress.

Goat should be by later to post pics of the winners.

Our next event will be on Monday, July 18th at 10 P.M. Eastern in the Imperial City Auction House. The theme will be "Professional Wrestling." As usual, we will have a cc and trivia with a prize total of at least 350 million INF.
  12. Tonight is the night for "Scooby Doo Villains" in Croatoa!

I hope to see you there.

"This time we didn't forget the gravy!"
  14. I apologize if this has been asked already:

Are these proliferated sets going to be free to VIPs, or will they cost Paragon Points?
  15. It was Zwillinger. He got tired of people not being able to pronounce his name.

And that's another mystery solved gang.
  16. Here's a link if you're looking for a little inspiration for "Scooby Doo Villains."

  17. Our next contest will be on Monday, July 11th at 10 P.M. Eastern in Croatoa, at the pond near Kelly Nemmers.

The theme will be "Scooby Doo Villains." Aliens, pirates, robots, ghosts, zombies... If it looks like something that Scooby and the gang may have crossed paths with then it qualifies.

As always there will be the cc and trivia, with over 350 million INF in prizes.
  18. Reminder:

Due to the holiday, our next cc will be on Sunday, July 3rd at 10 P.M. Eastern.

The theme will be "Going Rouge" on the bow of the USS Mason, docked in Independence Port. Dress in any style you'd like as long as the predominant color is red.

As usual there will be a CC and trivia, with over 350 million INF in prizes.

We hope to see you there!

Note: We will be back to our regular Monday night schedule starting Monday, July 11th.

I've been around since 2005 as well. One of the things that I love about CoH/CoV is that I still come across new things that "wow" me. One of the reasons we chose to have this as a "Travelling CC" was so we could host it in a new and (hopefully) visually interesting location each week.

All who won the CC prizes had fantastic costumes and were most deserving of their rewards.

I'm looking forward to the next CC!

    Keep up the great work!
Thank you for your kind words and support!

You know, we're just the ones that organize these events.

It's the folks that show up and participate week after week that really make them something special.
  20. Thanks to everyone who turned out for tonight's CC.
It was a great turnout and the costumes were great as always.

Goat will be posting the winners a little later.

Next week's CC will be "Going Rouge" on the bow of the USS Mason, docked in Independence Port. Dress in any style you'd like as long as the predominant color is red.

Since Monday is a holiday, this one will be on Sunday, July 3rd at 10 P.M. Eastern.

As usual there will be a CC and trivia, with over 350 million INF in prizes.
  21. Reminder: This is tonight at 10 P.M. Eastern in the Sharkshead Isle Monkey Fight Club.
There's no theme for this one.

We'll be changing the day next week because of Independence Day. I'll post the day, location and theme later this evening.
  22. If you need something more visual: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Monkey_Fight_Club

Again, it's the one in Sharkshead.
