I just want to intervene and say that I don't feel that anyone was being rude to him. Maybe its the fact we can't convey emotion in our voice.

I understand he's young, but we're not insulting his work. He has improved, and those of us who were giving advice were not in anyway trying to be condescending.

I mean, Derek Fayte, when a teacher is trying to help you improve at school -- And keeps trying, you know not to let it get you down, right? When people critique my work (Albeit I am 21), I take it in stride. What happens is when you think about the critiques, when you make more art -- you'll have less and less.

But all I have to say, is keep it up. It's good to see a younger generation dedicating themselves to things like art.

It's ok to be happy with something, but as with everyone and everything, theres always room for improvement. There's no excuse for not trying to improve.

Honestly, the number of layers you use doesn't matter if you are using them properly. I understand you want it to be shiny, but I doubt you want every one of your pictures to look like the subject is doused in gloss.

You shouldn't brush off criticism. It's the best thing you can receive. If you only listen to compliments, you'll NEVER improve, and I dont mean to sound like an [censored], but you should keep trying to improve.

I highly suggest you look over those tutorials, try expanding yourself instead of listening to only the good. Compliments are a great motivating factor, and criticism is a great thing to receive, especially in the way people have given it to you. They're not being rude, they are being helpful.

Like I said, you do have a lot of room for improvement as everyone does -- so use that room and get better. Don't just "settle".

My fire/kin corruptor -- Red Light Sting, and Slan/BattleWraith's ice/cold corruptor -- Purple Twilight.

Getting the colors right was a hell like no other.

Purples a difficult color.

All my work from now on will be done on a 9x12 Wacom Tablet (it arrived today! Hoorah!).

I am currently a member a comic book club at my school we right and publish comic books within our school. My comic book is called empires echo.
first a little backround information. the universe that the story takes place has been well thought out by me. the habited area of space is about 1 quarter of the galaxy. there are 97 planets with native sentient life and 500 more without sentient like. aswell as another 1347 without any life at all. There are to main powers the alliance of free planets (AOFP) similiar to the united nations. and the zenaros( i made that word up so if its offensive i didnt know) company(similar to microsoft). the two powers are at war for unusual reasons. a small ship exploded on the border beetween there space. as a result both sent ships to investigate. upon discovering the ship the AOFP ships attacked the zenaros ships. it quickly escalated into a full scale war. in this universe there are no laser weapons or super energy missles and no shields. zenaros has a much greater military strength than the AOFP and is currently winning the war. the story follows 2 soldiers who live on the ship empires echo one of them a cyborg. the other (main character) hates cyborgs.

currently i have no artist to draw this comic book. and i am not asking for an artist on this forum

i know it has nothing ot do with city of heroes but it has something to do with art

I was honestly kind of reluctant to do this piece because I'd never had experience with animorphic-type anatomy.

I also had no ideas for a background and came up with this simple one with thanks to BattleWraith.
