    HI Pinnacle!

After my amazing post of only reading the first post on the thread! lol we got the reputation of being the drunk server another way than what has already been said.

Back in the old days there was this one guy, Who was known for his posts that would be just massive drops of knowledge and walls of text that made no sense, he usually wrote these when he was drunk at night, in fact he was known as pinnacles Official drunk rofl. Can't remember his name for some dang reason but if it ever comes to me, I'll tell you.

I rolled one hero (scrapper) and two villains (MM, Brute) to play on Pinn from time to time. My global is @beyeajus if anyone wants to add me, I play semi-often, everyday, pretty late at night and pretty early in the morning.

Hope to be teaming with you soon! \m/ (^_^) \m/
DAMN RIGHT WE ARE THE DRUNK SERVER!!!! WoooooooHooo!!! PINNACLE!!!!

Alright, Good gaming schedule for the server too, we are usually popular for nights, but once it hits morning we are all passed out on our key boards lol We usually have a blast here on pinnacle and we have a really great community so always glad to have another!! I would add you but last time I checked( 3years ago) my global was full. I really only play one character and that's Desi Boy, my fire fire tank so if you need a tank feel free to send me a tell.

Again welcome to pinnacle, you know it's a good server when it has that reputation!

Since the OP specified Stone/Ice for RP reasons, I wasn't even going to comment on your build, but... well, it's pretty bizarre. Please try not to take offense at any of this, and I'm sure this build can survive a lot out there, cuz that's what Granite does, but it's really poorly built.

Why do you not have your armors IOed? You're using IOs elsewhere including some very expensive ones. If this were a pure SO, Granite-only build, I'd still say you're overslotting Granite for end redux. You have Tough (5-slotted at that) for what reason? Stone Skin w/1 slot caps your S/L resists. Same for Weave--you're so far over the softcap, you're just wasting end. Your psi def is negligible w/o your accolade temps (I was wondering how the heck you got it that high) and Weave won't help much in that regard. And what's w/the Stealth IO in TP? And resists in EE, no recharge? Assault/Tactics? Leadership & Fighting pools can be valuable to Stone tanks, but not used like this.
I'm currently working on something that hasn't really been done before, also I just wanted him to look at the powers not the slots or anything like that.
I would say more but that's not for this thread.

This is a build I threw together with some of my preferences that I think are important for you. It's very AoE based, also SS is great for it's knockdowns.

Resurgence isn't in here because most people don't like it. I like to think of it as "Doubling your HP and END" but other like to think of it as "preparing for failure"

If you slot for end and don't get conserve energy, instead get Focused acc.

I suggest slotting for regen and recharge primarily with set bonuses.
  7. My build is great for surviving except for the lower levels so I would take everyone elses advice on Rock Armor. Once you hit 40 I think its good to say you can respec out of it.
  8. Never really too big into ice as melee except in Fire/Ice combos but, Ice patch would make a great addition to your build and if you choose earth mastery that always is great too because of quick sand.

In my experience with stone, I suggest you get these powers and really that's it.

    Stone tanker build
    -stone armor-
    Stone skin
    Earth's Embrace
    Mud pots
    rooted
    granite armor

    -Fighting-
    boxing
    tough
    weave

With that for your defenses and resist you will be a god lol now there's one power I didn't mention that you can get with this power set: Rock Armor people say it adds more but I don't think you honestly need it.

Here's a build I'm working on for a stone stone. Ignore the stone melee powers, I'm still working on this FYI.

Fire/Ice is actually one of the healthiest fire combos(not as healthy and a fire fire but pretty awesome!) You most want to lay down Ice patch and burn at the same time, it also makes a great primary addition to your attack chain. Probably should be the first thing you do.

    This sucks....

    lol thank you Queen rocks!

Also I didn't buy the pack so I'm not 100% sure on anything about it. Do you guys know if we can slot it like a regular power? I know we can slot our vet sprints but not sure about the ninja thing, I don't think we can cuz we can't slot the pocket D jump pack, but I'm clueless about this thing.

Most play and most farming takes place at higher levels, though, and the random rolls (tickets and merits) generate recipes at the character's level.

So in theory there would be some benefit from a low-level character rolling with tickets and/or merits.

Low-level characters have trouble plowing through enemies and racking up rewards, though. No Stamina, few slots, incomplete attack chains, defensive weakness.

So, if I were to make such a character, say, turning off experience at level 10, to get bottom-level IO recipes on my rolls...what AT and powersets would perform best at level 10 with few slots? Probably mostly soloing?

My first thought is a Regen Scrapper. Some durability, and you get Quick Recovery to really help with the endurance issues. Likewise, Fast Healing and reconstruction should put Humpty Dumpty back together again between spawns with less downtime than many other builds.

Fire is another choice for secondary -- Blazing Aura will help mow down mobs, and the self-heal is nice. But the lack of any endurance recovery power would slow you down more than the aura damage makes up for, I think.

In Architect missions, one wouldn't be unduly troubled by the lack of a Travel Power (if a Travel Power were crucial, a Peacebringer might make a better level 10 choice).

But what primary to pair with Regen? At first I leaned toward Fire, because you've got to defeat everything and Fire is very efficient at damage. But looking at the powerset tiers, I see that a Fire Scrapper doesn't get much AoE potential at that level -- Fire Breath with one slot at level 10.

So my thoughts turned to Claws and the swords. Claws gets Spin at 8, so you could 3-slot it by level 10. 3 slots isn't stupendous, but Spin is without doubt the best AoE at that level.

The swords would just get their parry power at level 10, which would help make the character tougher. Flashing Steel is available at level 4, and could be fully slotted, recharges in 6 seconds (vs 8 for broadsword's Slice, 16 for Spine Burst) but does slightly less damage than all the other melee AoEs.

Any thoughts? Claws, Katana, or something else?

Am I even in the right AT? I see that Blasters start out relatively powerful...would a Blaster be worth forgoing Regen's advantages?

    Thanks!

edit: and about filling those slots...I know we can't expect too much at level 10. Are level 10 SOs available anywhere? Or should just dig around in WW for some cheap frankenslotting of level 10 set IOs?
Wow, this is news to me, I just kind of assumed the higher the level the IO the better the benefit, now I know some lvl 40 IOs kick butt and I use them at 40 because that's were they cap, with this information though your pretty much says that there might be the same IO at lower lvl with more benefit.

For the edit you posted, IF you go into AE and if you have tickets I believe you can get lvl 10SOs.
  15. yeah he doesn't have mids, trust me i spent the half an hour translating it into mids for him lol

  17. Okay, so I tried +4s in RWZ on my fire fire tank, couldn't do it. I could do +3s with insp though.

Also, Debtlover asked me to create his exact build(excluding the powers and levels he got them at) So i sat for about a half an hour with him telling me everything. It's a pretty damn good build for a human ws.

I don't know what your whole thing about "I don't need to prove anything to you" but we don't really care if you think you need to prove anything or not, we just want to hear what you can do since you are criticizing the test. It's kinda hard for you to criticize without giving anything because then we just think you're another troll here to try and piss people off.(not saying that you are)

I can see how you want to see it with no insp, that would be a great test because then you know what your character can take all the time and not just some of the time.
