This dumbed and slowed down version of pseudo-pve seems less exciting than live commentary on a GCSE exam. lolwut

Few wee things id change mate
1. best slotting ive found for liquify is 3x lysosome HOs and 2 rech/end IOs and 1 Rech IO
2. drop 1 acc and 1 rech from cage, doesnt need them and plug them into tactics, slot that 5x adj targ and the gaus proc
3. Use acc/dam HOs instead of ruin: acc/dam
Hes the build for my sonic/arch if its any use to you too

they are ment to be the toughest AT in the game, and at the moment i don't think invul lives up to that title.

Try slotting an inv, i dont agree w/that statement -
It always makes me chuckle when people purely talk about the res that inv offers and not the soft cap-able def
-
This is my current blaster build, recently took it to union and started to notice a few holes i hadnt seen on Defiant (probably due to the lack of PvP on my home server
)
Open to all suggestions, have favoured concealment/force in the past but i know leadership/ice is a favourite too, some tearing apart from experienced blasters would be helpful (yeah, i know the PotT procs need to go, but not sure what to do w/the slots).
*uber me please, this is the build of my blaster on live, so money/IOs aint a prob*

Have you actually played this game? Min-maxers can quite easily get near the def cap, where a tiny bonus makes a sizable difference to suvivability, and it is the smart players who understand maths ans statistics that the game has to be balanced around.
If you care to ignore numbers and statistics, and think 5% def is trivial, then it is not suprising that your characters underperform.
[/ QUOTE ]
^^^ That
You wanted an example?
45% def = 95% mitigation -> 5% damage: lets say a battle leaves you @ half health
40% def = 90% mitigation -> 10% damage: same battle, double damage, dead
*still* think 5% is trivial?
[/ QUOTE ]
Well to apply your example in a somewhat 'realistic' Ingame scernario you must be constantly being buffed by 2 compentent sheilders (or other such buffs) for this 5% to have the effect you claim (Especially as Psi defence currently starts at -5%)
So once again CAN 5% give you 50% damage mitagation yes but only in the correct circumstances and it's surely not wise to encourage those who may be less able at maths to beleive otherwise.
[/ QUOTE ]
Think im not speaking from a normal in game experience?, my Inv tank currently has 22.3% psi def (27.3% excluding the 5% debuff) from slotting. So couple that with an accidental Dispersion Bubble from 1 defender thats afk and on follow you get 38.3% def (43.3% excluding the 5%debuff), not exactly 2 competent sheilders as you claim you *must* have
To slotted Inv tanks, this 5% def boost will make a notable difference -

Depends, a ST attack it would only attempt to proc on your target, dont think it can use gauntlet to proc on any1 effected by the taunt portion of a ST attack.
However used in a splash power i.e the actual tanker taunt power or stompy feets etc, it would have a chance to proc on all thos eaffected by the taunt, normal proc rules -
Thing with TI proc is its a 10% chance for a Mag 1 stun 3 seconds long.
IIRC
Mag 4 = boss mez
Mag 3 = leut mez
Mag 1/2 = minion mez
reason your probably not noticing it is that not only is it only 3 seconds (assuming no stun resistance) the proc can only effect weak minions, ie those with no mez protect whatsoever.
In other words, its a bit pants -
[ QUOTE ]
What I was really saying is that it is worth changing why only provide a 5% boost which in game probably ain't gonna effect you still diving for green pills all the time.

We had the tower order as Red/Green/Yellow/Blue i think...certainly not Blue as priority.
[/ QUOTE ]
Our Sunday MoSTF squad use the Red/Yellow/Blue/Green order, purely to stop his power boost effect, with max flier time all 4 go down easily within the 18 minute window. Some people will tell you blue doesnt matter, but we always take it down to be safe, whats 3 minutes to kill a tower vs another 3 hours to try next week after a failed attempt? -
If you stand and simply taunt LR with an aura or the taunt without physically attacking him (when the pylons are being defeated) he WILL spawn extra banes, this also happens when your not in definate melee range (ie headbutt would be a viable attack)
Basically, dont just sit there taunting, actively attack him, for one reason or another he wont spawn banes until the 1/4 health hail mary play
Done this more times than ive had hot dinners on my inv/ss tank and never had a problem apart from the time i was too busy communicating with the team to attack him. (not realising that he had to be hit) Basically, tell your tank to try and kill him, LR wont get scratched, but then neither will your tank -
