I'd like to join if there's room. I'd be bringing my 25th level Widow - Concentrated Evil.

I have been having the same issue since i19. Specifically opening a menu with a static picture seems to lock up COH. Examples of this include the contacts list, Ourboros missions listed in the portal, the character ID screen, Costume screens, etc.
What I did to fix my issue was to go into Options -> Graphics and Audio, then turn off Ambient Occlusion by setting Advanced Occlusion Settings to Disabled. Apply the change then run /reloadgfx.
This seems to have stopped the issue for now. -
I assume that COH support has already suggested this but have you tried runing the "Verify All Files" at startup?

I do like the new zone event, but if you only have one team it's impossible and frustrating. I would really like to see the Banner damage and the number of defenders that must be killed scale to the number of players either in the zone or surrunding the banners. The scale would not need to vary much, just a reduced difficulty if the zone is sparcely populated. That way a single team might at least have a fighting chance. As it is, there is no way to complete the event. This is causing people to stop trying.

All in all Day jobs are a fairly cool addition, but I do have two problems with the system as implemented.
1. As others have stated the bonus timer is very frustrating and makes the day job rewards too difficult to get. I would much prefer a charge system where you get the bonus for a certain number of missions instead of a timer. As it stands, most people will never get any of the rewards unless you run to complete a mission as fast as possible after logging in.
2. I HATE the Patrol XP. I'm sure others enjoy getting it and that's fine for them, but I don't want it at all and I have no way to opt out. There is a new 'No XP' choice, but I was happy with the way the old system worked and I don't like having to change the way I play cause others want to level quicker. There needs to be some way to opt out of Patrol XP. My suggestion would be to change the 'No XP' Option to stop granting Patrol XP as well. -
This mission is still bugged. When doing it through Ouroboros sometimes you can complete with no problem and at other times clicking on a glowie will cause you to disconnect.
I don't know if it helped or if the problem just went away, but I cleared all the bad guys out of the castle and it seemed to start working.
