Must. Keep. Punching. Babies!

Your high school had a nursery? Now that is a sign that the world is ready to end.

It also had the highest pregnancy rate in the state. True story. Northwest Georgia rawks! -
I haven't played Traps enough to know what it needs, but I sincerely hope that Defenders will be getting their own set of the Traps pets. Since all but one power (Web Grenade) uses a pet or pseudo-pet, the set would be almost exactly the same for Defenders as it is for Corruptors.

I've looked at their listed powers on Paragonwiki, and they are identical. Are the pets themselves indentical, save for appearance? Also, about how much damage do they actually do? I've never had either, personally, but I've heard stories that they put out very impressive damage (Two of them quickly dropping archvillains with a little help, among other things).

The third post made it tip to the "And more" part.
Working on my submission, Nibbz, but I'm having trouble filling out the last part. Maybe that means I shouldn't win anyways? -
Alright, think I've narrowed it down a bit.
I think I can drop the second battery on the HP you showed me, BA, and bring to price down to $700, making it more attractive.
My mother found a manufacturer refurbished HP for $620 here: http://www.pcmall.com/pcmall/shop/detail...20-%204GB%20RAM and it looks to be on par with the one you showed me, BA, except I don't know how the graphics cards compare.
And then there is one that Doomlord PM'd to me that is better than both, but is probably outside my price range at $800.
*sigh* Decisions, decisions.
On the chance that the nVidia GT 9600M is better than the ATI Radeon 3200 HD, is it $80 better? Would I still be able to play CoX on the 3200?
Thanks again. -
...That's not a bad idea, Witty. It's probably way too late for anything requiring an application, but I'll look around anyways.
-
Alright, BA. I'm looking at the Toshiba you linked and it seems to be running on a Intel 4500MHD, is this different than the Intel 4500M? Is it better than the ATI Radeon 3100 on the Toshiba that I linked?
Also, on the HP laptop, the memory for the video card is 512mb--is that dedicated memory? The card is integrated, so will it also have shared memory? I don't see it on the site, but will the coupon code expire soon?
In related news, I will soon be getting three hundred and...*checks* seventy-three dollars from my school because they billed me for health insurance that I don't need. That makes my budget a mite more flexible, but I'm a quite thrifty soul, so don't push it.
Thanks for the help so far!
Also, how does a nVidia GeForce GT 220M compare to the GeForce 9600M?
Edit: Funny thing about that HP, my best friend *just* bought that exact same model without the $250 coupon. -
I always feel weird asking questions on the tech forums, so I'm asking the good 'ol Champs to help me out again. As many...okay, maybe one or two of you know, I'm starting college this fall and I'm shopping around for a laptop. Typical of most any college student, I'm strapped for cash. I therefore charge you with the task of finding me a laptop that gives me the most bang for my buck. I'm hoping to find one that will run City of Heroes adequately so I don't have to lug one of my desktops to school. Looking on my own, I have found these two Toshibas that are fairly cheap:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?...d=1218093383615
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...Specifications
I'm thinking that the one on BestBuy is better, but I'm not sure. If anyone could find something better at a comparable price, that'd be great. I'd like to not spend over five hundred if I can help it...
Edit: Also, I'm not "up" on what to expect quality-wise from different companies. Does Toshiba have a reputation for well-build computers, or are they like eMachine? -

How about for a hold, you shoot both hands of the target? I'm not sure about how to explain them not running around...Maybe shoot them in the feet? Or 'knee cap' them, like for the proposed immobilize...Either way, shooting the hands of the target would work thematically for most users, I think.
Or a Web Envelope Bullet...
...What?

Better idea, go outside the box and give the set a Fear power, caused by the steely-eyed glare of your gunslinger.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's funny that you mention that as "thinking outside the box," because I've seen that suggested for the set several times in various other threads, but I haven't seen my suggested power.
Not saying mine is better than yours, I'm just saying that it's funny. -

Devs: WE HATE POWER LEVELING AND WE WILL BAN YOUR [censored] IF YOU DO IT!
Devs: OK, we're kidding. Take that fire tank into a +4 mission spawned for 8 and wax that [censored]

I actually think this will alleviate some of the power leveling. No need to add people to pad. Many of the people getting power leveled before will have a much tougher time getting on teams.
The hardcore farmers/PL'ers don't need extra people to clear 6-8 man spawns. Any extra people are just leeching drops and xp.
[/ QUOTE ]
As if AE didn't already make a viable attempt at ruining gameplay... But hey, it's so much fun to see a level 50 running around with a total of 10 badges, most of them being AE badges! Wait... that's my sarcasm sneaking through again...
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't think you get it. Now that farmers can get maps set for six to eight without fillers, no one will be powerleveling new players just to fill their teams. Any slacker on the team will just be leeching XP/inf./drops, so the farmer is unlikely to invite them. It really is a great way to inhibit what I call "Bad Powerleveling."* With all of the new players put out on the streets, life in Atlas Park might return to the normal terrible pick up groups and sewer teams. I'm down for that.
Also, by "...make up for the lack of awesome in I15," I meant, effectively: "Do you think this has enough awesome for two issues?" Not: "Will this be better than I15?" That's not even a real question. Mid-issue patches are sometimes better than issue 15, in my opinion.
*"Bad Powerleveling" is the powerleveling of new players who end up with multiple fifties and still have trouble figuring out which train is the green line and where Peregrine Island is.
[/ QUOTE ]
I do agree with you on that, it's still a big step up. I can only hope that this will allow for more actual game content to be played by those less knowledgable than those of us who've 'been there and done that' a dozen times over. It's the journey, not the finish that's the fun part. I'd much rather have a long and fun run from 1 to 50 instead of staring 54 Bosses in the face from 1 to 50 and learning nothing about my character.
But I guess everyone's not up to par with that way of thinking... *shrug* Agree to disagree?
[/ QUOTE ]
I really have no idea what you are saying. I see something about new players playing dev-created content and learning to play their characters. I'd be willing to bet a large sum of money that the new difficulty settings will increase the odds of that happening. By a lot. Then you say something about wanting to play a character through rather than powerlevel...Have I said anything that disagrees with this sentiment?
I don't think I'll agree to disagree if I don't even know what I'm disagreeing about. Maybe my reading comprehension is a little off today... -

I'd like to see a Task Force...no, a Strike Force that revolves around the Warriors and ends with a fight with Odysseus. I only say that it should be a Strike Force because it could fill one of the holes in the villain Strike Force chain...Not sure if they spawn high or low enough for either hole, though...Hrm...

I would have sworn on my mother's eyes that a redname posted that the Veteran rewards would stop at sixty months, but I can't find that. Nor does anyone else seem to have that idea. Maybe I'm losing it.
-
I'm wondering if they'll let Lightning Rod crit since, to my knowledge, Shield Charge can not. I'm looking forward to Traps/* Defenders and power customization most, myself.

On a lighter note, you have a sex-a avatar ;}
He seems like an AwSoMe guy that knew how to make fun for himself out of other peoples expense! I say 3 cheers for someone that knows the truth about online gamming! (To ruin others expierence
in all honesty though, I hate peeps like him, at your point instead of crying ide wish horrible things on him, rather it be (and would range from his or her's actions) a sore throat, kick in the balls, fell [censored] first on a broom stick, got into a car wreck, gave me his address, to see him on news "Mr so and so got hit from a semi truck on I275, then was thrown from his car, fell infront of another semi which hit him and tossed him into another truck carring small scropions in the back, where he was later found dead from multiple stings" or just plain old death, which usualy happens anyways so I dont feel bad to ask for it ;}
Now, if your one of the few....or many that play so much it gives no time for a sex life......then its permited to cry, and ill cry with ya, as long as my girl friend gives me permission to do so ;]
But for all we know you could be getting paid to continue the rants of someone that no one really cares about, just to have more peeps buy his pathedic book.
in which case, I think option 4 of my wants for someone would better suffice ;}
Because its not as warrented for option 6 lol

I can't tell if you are making fun of her, defending her, or just flat out asking her for sex.

All of the above.
Reading some of these posts, I just have to ask...What does "QQ" mean?
Edit: Nevermind. -

You might be referring to the Talsorian Shield, which is quite small when not in use, but get big when your toggles are active. I haven't tried, but you may just try to make your shield effectively invisible by using the Energy (or Electricity?) shield set to black, or some other color that doesn't show well.

It reads: "...each will receive an alternate animation for their powers." To me, that sounds like one alternate animation for each power, excluding maybe Taunt.

My favorite line: "Cobalt dropped the GPS device leapt into the air with his stick-wand and whacked the portly scout on the head."
