Cyyan, i don't know for sure about that stone tank preferance. Now, granted, stones are usually the tank of choice, but i'm seriously wondering about it for STF. There's a LOT of psy flying around in this TF.
Just from the ones i've seen so far:
Sands has psy. Korol has psy. Shadow Spider has psy. Viridian's got psy, i think.. maybe just he's a kin, and that could/would kill recharge speed even more. Barracuda's got psy.
Not to mention all the fortunatas and tarantula mistresses out there.
So i'm wondering, stone's got a choice: granite for tanking, or (spacing off. the shield that protects against psy) for the psy boys.
Doesn't ice have some psy shields in there? i'm wondering if they may be a little better. (granted, buffing and stuff will shoot this theory in the foot)
Also, once IOs get out enough and sets are built, there's some good chance psy won't be the murder axe it is right now.. i looked at the sets last night, and with 6-slotting the right stuff, could get at least 10% resistance to psy on my invul. yea, 10% is not much, but 10% > 0%. -
i'm not exactly thrilled about the amount of psy damage thrown around by just about everybody in the TF.
Ran it yesterday, started with 2 scrappers, 3 blasters, 2 defs (kin/kin and dark/dark) and my invul/fire tank.
we had deaths just about every mish, thanks to psy nukes from the spider/fortunata bosses and the AVs. one of the blasters quit mid 2nd mish, guess he was tired of waiting on the new people to find their way around. Bunch of deaths around Korol, those psy nukes just shredded most everybody. (granted, the dark/dark was completely useless and didn't do anything)
The CoV respec (mish 3) took quite some time, but eventually got it down. The thorns did take a while to re-spawn, which was quite nice.
We stopped at barracuda after our rad/rad had to go, leaving us with 5 and no support, and b/c cuda was still shredding us with those psy.
I know Arachnos has a lot of psy, but jeez.. did they boost up the nuke rates for those bosses? Seemed to be a lot of psy nukes going on.. Can we plz mix it up a bit? how about some smashing/lethal damge?
At least maybe stone/* won't be all that.. do you either have psy shields and get killed by everything else, or protect from everything else and get killed by the psy? -
wiki doesn't have the 5th mish, either... They've combined the 4th and 5th.

1) In the Fab. take out stuff, like a mayhem mission. Then watch for ambush, and take out Arbiter Sands. Arachnos baddies.
2) Going after Aeon. Enter, but end up, through a portal, in RV. 4 AVs spread out the map of AV. Magus Mu'Drakan at Golf, Regent Korol under atlas statue, Shadow Spider at Bravo, and Viridian north of city hall.
3) Run a CoV respec (basically). Same map. approach the repsec door, go through map, kill the tree (JUST like the CoV respec). There's a group fo 8 villains running a respec in there, so watch out.
4) open map of Aeon City in Cap. Many many mobs, several identified "Security Chief?" Need to find the correct one. all the others send ambush. Once the correct one is killed, enter Aeon Corp. Several Floors, 1 AV per floor. Aeon at top floor.
5) never made it there, hopefully others can tell ya. -

Are you sure? Having never been on the taunter's team, and given that I lose Hami at the end of raids, I'm not sure, however I thought the Taunter's countdown timer for "Hami Held" was started when Hami stopped attacking. No?

confirmed. This was changed.. what, I6? maybe I7. An extra random element now, as this pretty much stopped us from trully knowing when Hami was held. Before, we knew b/c he stopped firing period. Now, it's a guess, and i think based on hami ONLY firing at the taunter, not the hold spammers, and maybe some hold graphics on him.
Demilion: you enjoy listening (so to speak) to worthless spam for 1-3 hours (depending on server, day, lag load, whatever) at a raid?
I'm happy it's going to this format. I'd be thrilled if it went to instance, but this is better than nothing. At least this way, you HOPE that all 50 will focus on the task, and people won't have to put up with people copy/pasting poems/songs/spanish nonsense in request, or broadcasting "Marry me X (where X is the name of a character)" over and over. -
Posi, any idea/workings on the bug of becoming disconnected from yourself?
As in:
You enter the mish. You move forward like normal. However, your teammates observe that you are still at the gate. Even though you are right next to an enemy, when you attack you get the message "out of range". Only way to fix is exit re-enter the mish, or get a teleport.
I have not suffered this as of yet, but i know of a few people who have on Victory. -

My first attempt was just a list of HO's available with the Global handle, and another list of HO's you're looking for. It didn't seem to be that helpful.
Ideas?
[/ QUOTE ]
I think it needs that, but it also needs to be searchable, e.g. I need a damage/range, who has them and what are the bids?
I could imagine an interface where you have listed each type of HO followed by a list of sellers and their asks. That way I could tell at a glance who had what available. I could click on the sellers name and PM a bid, and perhaps the site could tell me how many bids have been made already.
The problem with the current HO thread idea, as I see it, is you have to search the whole thread to see whats available, and you never know whats out of date. As I have demonstrated, I am very lazy about re-reading whole threads for things. A semi-realtime trade board organized by HO would make some sense I think becuase it would give you all the info you need at a glance.
My $0.02
In the spirit of honesty, I have no idea what you had designed before so if it looks like this and failed for some reason, let me know.

QFT. Now THIS would get me to go to the site. Just arrive at the site, choose from a list the HO of your choice "dam resist/end" click search, see everyone who's got one and what they're looking for. Fast updating, so as son as the transaction is completed and the person updates it, that HO is off the market. -

But what's clear from this thread - and from many, many posts - is that bases are "too expensive". To me, that's interesting (as it is to the Serious Games crowd). Costume changes come with a minimal cost that no one really complains about, but we complain about the costs of bases.
[/ QUOTE ]
respectfully, states:
We complain about how expensive bases are because they are expensive. We can't get a 1:1 ratio for inf to prestige, so it's harder to raise the amount needed to do anything to the base.
Also, there are 2 (mainly 1) reasons why we don't complain about costume changes:
1. It's just not AS expensive. i think the most i've ever spent is 120k or so max. upper levels, that's only 3-5 SOs.. not much.
2. the main reason is all the freaking costume tokens. Now i know a lot of people love them, because they love to change their costumes a bunch.. but for a lot of people i know, they're just building up.. 1 costume token per slot, means everytime costume tokens are awarded, we're getting 4 (now 5) a time.. it just builds up so much, barely anybody is actually paying inf for the changes now, instead of just using a token. I know several people with 30+ tokens.. if the token awarding was scaled back, then you "may" hear more of complaining about costume prices..
heck, let us exchange the costume tokens for 100k prestige.. and PLEASE give us a better exchange rate for inf to prestige..
