*sigh* Yeah, someone out there hates me. The "Dropship Down" video done to Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" has just gotten yanked from YouTube.

No, they said I could use their music as long as:

a) I gave them credit (which I do multiple times - in the tags, in the description, and in my end credits)
b) I include a link to their website (which I'll do both in my YouTube description and on my website)
c) they have the option to show my video to highlight their music, if they like what they see

But this is one band - this is by no means the norm.

I've actually TRIED to get permission for almost every piece of music I use. Contacted Brand X Music (no response of any kind), most of the bands whose music I use (no response), and several of the artists whose scores I love (no response).

One group HAS actually given me permission to use their music, so one of my upcoming videos will be featuring them (following their instructions for how I use it), but most are just ignore us. Which is funny, because that's how I've gotten several people into the movies/bands I've featured in my videos.

The trick is, once you've demorecorded something and played it back, you need a video capture program like FRAPS to convert what's on your screen to a video file.

Something tells me that it's going to start out somewhat scaled back in capability while the devs see how it's being used, what works, what doesn't, and what the players still want in terms of mechanics (ie, timed missions, ambushes, etc). The MA has a LOT of potential, but I doubt the devs are going to give it to us all at once... but oh, this is so something I could see evolving and expanding as later issues are released.

And I, for one, would LOVE to be able to have multiple teams on the same mission, but each one has different goals (ie, defend the reactor/destroy the reactor). It'd have to be something you could set as options (ie, "allow opposing team"), but damn the possibilities would be awesome.
