How about some elemental weaponry? Fire/Ice/Lightning/Earth/Dark/Light/... etc.

OK I've been a part of a few MMOs. I've pre-ordered most of them, though, because when you pre-order the games you most of the time get access to the 2 day or 3 day headstart, as well as the Beta access, etc.

This is not bad marketing, it's how MMo's work. All the Gamestop, EB Games, even Best buy people know that. I was talking to a person who works at Best Buy today, he told me "look you can buy the game right now, because we can sell it. Did you pre-order the game though? If you did you can go home and play the game right now, because it's the 2 day headstart!"

So... It's just how it works, sorry dude!

Hiya Manticore! My question has probably been asked many times, but I'd like it answered anyway: After City of Villains is released, will we see some more Events besides the Winter Lord, and Pumpkin King? I like these events, but for the most part there isn't much story attached, just kill them and get badges.

What I'm asking is will there ever be some huge events going on that involve story arcs, missions, or task forces that explain the story better than newspaper clippings on the CoH main page, and messages to us on the launcher. Whenever I see those messages it makes me want to go in the game and investigate for M.A.G.I. or some other contacts, instead of just shooting the Event, for my badge. I'd like to be involved. These events make me feel like I'm on the sidelines, while invisible heroes (not even the Freedom Phalanx, since they are helping fledgling heroes out) do all the work.

Is this actually true? I think your getting your information wrong somewhere. I am 75% sure that MOST Blasters could not kill a +2 in one hit unless they were hugely buffed, and the enemy was hugely debuffed.

Or perhaps it was an Underling

I team up with a lot of blasters, and I've never seen that happened.

"Massive AOE Alpha Strikes"

Yes... I was just wondering about those. I realize that Fire Blasters and the Flame Thrower Power for AR Blasters are a problem, but my main is a 29 Energy Blaster just about to get Nova.

I don't know what to say, other than Energy Blasters have only three AOE attacks: Energy Torrent which is a cone Moderate damage power, Explosive Blast which is a moderate AOE damage attack that actually doesn't do much until you six slot it (and even then it misses a lot), and of course Nova which is an Extreme Damage/Knockback AOE.

I just think that maybe certain Blaster AOEs could be toned down, yes, but please remember that Energy Blasters already don't get many AOEs...
