  1. Hello, everyone! You're still talking to the plant!

This Friday, most people either were unable to connect, or were uninterested/unable in unlocking their incarnate powers. Thus, I can only thank

    Hard Nite
    Ride the Lightning
    Asymptope Man

for coming out and getting their slots unlocked.

Since I've done small groups in the last while, and since there is a large majority of people who have a 50 and have unlocked their incarnate slot by now, there is a slight change in the format for the week. Wednesdays will be for Incarnate level material (TFs, SFs and Rikti Mothership raids), while Friday will be for PUGs and lower level villainy in general (i.e. Ice mistral and lower SFs or PUGs). So next Friday will be a PUG. Bring what you want, let's rip the Rogue Isles a new one!
  2. Hello, everyone! You're STILL talking to the plant!

Well, this week was a good learning experience of a Barracuda SF. We learned several useful things:
    1) Bring a stalker. Stalker with the temp power on the last mission shuts off the infinite ambushes, increasing the chance you will live to finish the SF.
    2) One of each AT is pretty much a must. All the different ATs get useful powers versus someone Lord Recluse can't beat. That should be a hint.
    3) Make sure that all your players have a good connection. Dropping connections repeatedly is pretty much a sign that if you are the only player of that AT, you WON'T win.

Alas, point 3 reared its ugly head when our only MM kept dropping - the MM can shut off Reichsmann's phasing, making taking out his <200,000 health infinitely easier.

So, I would like to thank all of the following for their assistance in this manner - and apologize that we did not get it complete.

    Sintrix
    Kaerg
    Leighloo
    Mr. Thistle
    Mis Chief
    Elasima Mulanda

This Friday, rumour is that I19 should be up and running. If so, Alpha slot. If not, PUG.
  3. Hello, everyone You're talking to the Plant!

And where one falls, another rises to the challenge!

Barring the sudden appearance of I19, I'm calling out!!!

    Rikti Mothership Run!

    Bring the good stuff!
  4. Hello Everyone! You're talking to the plant!

This week was a wonderful run of the villain respecification trials - aka, the 'treespec'. Since running one by itself is boring - and since a team looking for fast merits can do all three in under an hour - we ran at a slower pace to help others get familiar with the trial, and how we get things done.

And the XP. Can't forget the xp.

I would like to thank the following participants

    Miss Arrange
    Sintrix
    Lup - Sol
    Mr. Thistle
    Kaerg
    Show Me The Money
    Sazerac

for turning 2 hours of work, including a relatively slow pace, into 44 good merits and minimal fuss.

We then went on to aid others with theirCimerora arc (as best we could - apparantly you can't invite new members to your team if your alignment differs once someone has gone into a mission). Therefore, honourable mention goes to

    Barbie's Nightmare
    Count Daedren

    for their work.

OK. That's all for now, see you on Friday!

    VILLAINY!!
  5. I will finally have a few minutes to sit down and edit my AE arcs this upcoming holiday Tuesday. IF I19 is not ready for Wednesday, may I humbly suggest that we try one of my arcs? They have been test-run by groups before, and I'd love to get opinions of what the updated arcs are like.

Of course, if I19 is ready for Wednesday, Plantatia will be running full tilt for her Alpha slot!
  6. Hello, everyone! You're talking to the plant!

This week, villainy had declared that the Circle of Thorns had somehow gotten too big for thier magical britches, and were in need of a trimming. Aiding Ice Mistral in said trimming were

    Barbie's Nightmare
    Frost Nereid
    Lup - Sol
    Wall of Indice
    Miss Arrange
    Blue Rondo
    Count Daedrem

as we stormed our way through to the end and put a SEVERE beating on the Magus and his merry minions. It certainly helped that suring the large melee, several of us leveled - or had leveled just prior to starting the fight. The net result was 3 brutes pounding many holes into one robed idiot. Huzzah!

    See you next week!

    Villainy!
  7. Hello, everyone! You're talking to the Plant!

Wednesday, we brought our mightest of villains (and a fallen hero! Villainy rulez!!) and decided that Statesman and his merry men were getting too big for their britches. Time to bring the smacketh down on their heroic arses! <Ahem>
Right. We formed our LRSF team inside of 20 minutes, and while we did take some punishement from our team composition - more on that afterwards - we tore Statesman a new one.

    Kudos to

    Sa'Kage
    Wall of Indice
    Mr. Thistle
    Lup - Sol
    Sintrax
    Hard Night
    Lorien's Curse

for thier combined effort - we held down HALF of the final bosses simultaneously! Not a bad job, given that we had 3 doms, 2 brutes, a corruptor, an Arachnos soldier and a defender!

    Keep watching for further details!
  8. Hello, everyone! You're talking to the Plant!

This week, we had a Renault SF (25-30) that went...relatively well. My toon was extremely stealthy, so ghosting to the end of missions and dealing with the big bad was not a hassle. Although we still had a high death count - one non-granite-capable stone tank (due to being powered down) and 3 ranged toons made it a high death count but a violently simple run of the last 2 AVs in the waterspout room. To paraphrase:

    "What do we do?"
"...shoot the twits until they stop twitching."

And helping out in the shooting of the twits?

    Mis chief
    Lampona
    Wall of Indice

Oh well. Guess others had holidays.
Next week, Ice Mistral SF. This one is needed for accoldaes, and is a level 35 minimum. It can be done quickly (i.e. under 90 minutes) if we want, so I won't tie anyone up with a long TF if I can.

    Villainy!!
  9. Hello, everyone! You're talking to the plant!

This week, we continued our ToT teaming, and had a HUGE number of toons roll out for one last chance at tip mishes and all SORTS of delicious delicious XP.

I'd like to thank ALL of the following for their participation:

    Heteropoda Venotoria
    Bright Princess
    Fireblight
    Pink Patrol
    Mac the Ax
    Lup - Sol
    Pure Bane
    Hells Redeemer
    Show Me The Money
    Asymptope Man
    Electra Statica
    Twilights Ruin
    Hard Nite
    Death Crackle
    Lactrodectus Maetans
    Incorrigible
    No brain no pain

    <gasps, exhausted>

Well, as promised, this month will be SF month. And I'd like to get the ball rolling by announcing the whole month's schedule!!

5th - Renault SF (Sharkhead), level 25 minimum
12th - Ice Mistral SF (St. Martial), level 35 minimum
19th - Treespec (Nerva) (all 3 respec trials - 24, 34 and 44 minimum These WILL NOT be speed runs).
    26 - Barracuda SF (Gravndville), 45 minimum

    VILLAINY!!!!
  10. Hello! You're talking to the plant!

    Thanks for the segway!
So, wanting to try some of the newer power mixes - and to really give GR a shakedown of its team play ability - I rolled up an electric/FF troller by the name of 'Faraday's Angel'. While I certainly won't be bashing anyone's heads in anytime soon, with the foes being shocked into submission, and you gaining protection from their nasty attacks, I don't think you'll complain about the results, either.

Looking forward to teaming with all of you on Sunday!
  11. Hello, everyone! You're talking to the plant!!

This Friday, we demanded sweet food of the peasantry of the Rogue Isles, only to discover to our horror that half of the peasantry were, in fact, monsters in disguise!! We violently earned our candy, and proceeded to protect - or steal - the Malleus Mundi. In all, a blast!

I'd like to thank the following people for devastating the hidden monster populace of the Rogue Isles...

    Miss Arranged
    Wall of Indice
    Fireblight
    Mr. Thistle
    Lorien's Curse
    Asymptope Man
    Sa'Kage
    Barbie's Nightmare
    Earth Hippie
    Mis Chief
    Kaerg
    Indice
    Keri Hades
    Lup - Sol
    Dual Indice
    Jock Strap
    Eyespick

    for their participation.

This Friday (the 29th), I think one more run will do. If only so that I can actually get a treat when I open a door!! Seriously, 3 hours, ONE TREAT!!!
November is gonna be a TF month!!!
  12. Just seeing what people thought...
  13. Hello, everyone! You're talking to the plant!

Looks like the Hallowe'en event is coming, so this Friday we will go pounding on some doors to demand food from the peasantry of the Rogue Isles! Isn't being a villain fun?

    See you there!
  14. Well, the first night of Going Rogue was a success! We had a large rolling group that was pushing hard for xp as we loyally served Emperor Cole! All hail the emperor!!

    I'd like to thank

    x Dr. Girlfriend x
    Karrn
    Tazzy Boo
    Shadow-Ranger
    Baffle
    Sonic Bloom
    Green Snap
    Lup - Def2
    Lady Azulea

for their participation, and their help in getting my first toon out of Praetoria!

Next week, we do the Resistance! Down with Emperor Cole!
  15. Hi gang!

Seems nobody reported our running of the mothership raid last Wednesday.

We ran with a lot of lower-level people in an effort to boost them and get some experience in how to run the raid under their belts. And we did fairly well, all things considered. An average of 100 merits for a learning group is definitely a worthwhile bonus.

This upcoming Wednesday should be some Halloween events, so keep your eyes open!
  16. Hi, everyone! You're talking to the (very exhausted) plant!

Well, we ran the staircase ITF with almost no level 50s - the joys of being the leader of the pack - and when people indicated that we need to speed things up, the last 2 mishes of the staircase ITF were ran at +0 for simplicity. But we successfully completed the ITF, and I'd like to thank

    Lost Earth Lord
    Mr. Thistle
    Miss Elect
    Tweenage Rampage
    Jena Dough
    Jocke Strap
    Cinged

for their participation in completing a 3-hour ITF. Several people gained 2 levels out of the ITF, so it was not like we had a lack og xp gain going on.

Our group had 2 trollers, 2 doms, a tank, a blaster and 2 scrappers. We had just enough debuff to totally GRAPE Romi in the end.

Keep your eyes peeled for when we do this next.
  17. It's ba-ack...

    STAIRCASE ITF on Friday
  18. Hello, everybody! You're talking to the plant!

Hey, thanks to your efforts, one of my toons FINALLY got from hero to Vigilante! Huzzah! Part of the way to VILLAINY!!!! BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!

    (Channeling Brian Blessed!)

    I'd like to thank

    Toasty Boy
    2wook
    Electro Phobia
    Sh0ck1n
    Freeze-a-Burn

    for their participation.

    Next week ...

    ...see the ITF thread!!
  19. Hello, everyone! You're talking to the Plant!

And it's talking to YOU about the changes that are planned for starting October 17th. We've had requests in channel to do a GR event night. As Tuesday and Thursday are usually bad nights overall, and M-W-F are spoken for - and some of us actually have a social life on Saturdays (myself NOT being one of them), Sundays will become a GR night.
All events related to GR will be posted here. This can and will include PuGs, events (see the main City page for I19 events), potential future TFs (oh, dear GOODNESS, let there be at least one GR TF), and so on.

As this thread is maintained by me, I hereby state that any and all RPing, storytelling, or other game-related typing is hereby accepted. This is a GR-only thread, but feel free to describe characters, type up stories, yada yada yada.

    Hail Emperor Cole!!

    TRAITOR!!!!

(See, I'm RPing. It's not hard.)
  20. Hello, SINISTER. You're talking to the Plant!

This Wednesday, we're gonna run some PuG in RWZ at higher difficulties. Please bring whomever you like (I SUPPOSE you could bring a hero...but why?), and let's rip the Rikti a few new ones.

NEXT Wednesday, October 13th, RIKTI MOTHERSHIP RAID.
  21. ACK!!!

    I sincerely apologize, everyone.

I was not able to run yesterday's event...

...because I overloaded the building's computer server with my off-hour downloading of Transformers TV shows!!

    Seriously embarrassed, folks.

I hope you were able to game well in my 24-hour absence.

See you next week (promise! I'm almost done downloading!!)

    Plantatia
  22. Hello, Antipodes! You're talking to the plant!

The tip mission run to turn heroes to villainy was ... significantly better than last week. We got not only one team 5 points closer to villainy, we got a second team 3 points closer to villainy!

    I'd like to thank

    Critical Attack
    Dr. Arcana
    Miss Interpreted
    Electra Statica
    Electro Phobic
    Emerald Weapon
    Plasmacore
    Dark Barb Embrace
    Ebon Dfender
    Howitzer Shell

    for their participation.

I think one more run should get at least one toon per person closer to villainy with an alignment mission! Let's see what we can do!

    Villainy!!!
  23. Hello, everyone! You're talking to the plant!

This Wednesday will be a PuG again, and one of the hosts will be yours truly (Crystaline Rose) at level 38ish. Come one, come all!!

NEXT Wednesday (29th) will be a mothership raid! Please bring your 35 and ups for this one!
  24. Hello, Antipodes! You're talking to the plant!

The tip mission run to turn heroes to villainy was ... mostly successful. While the team was large, and the mission rolled by quickly, the selection at the end - a mistake, mind you - left us with but 2 missions done towards villainy, and a level 52 Malta mission. Well, at least we know we can roll over things quickly when we need to turn to villainy!

    I'd like to thank

    Divine Ranger
    Miss Interpreted
Widow Trashgirl (A widow already a hero! WOW!!)
    Dr. Arcana
    Toasty Boy
    Critical Attack
    Miss Elect
    Dark Barb Embrace
    Falamere

for your participation and helping us turn each other - my bubble defender included - toward villainy!

This Friday, more of the same!!

    VILLAINY!!!!
  25. Welcome, Antipodes! You're talking to the plant!

Friday was another good Going Rogue Loyalist run, only slightly marred by a bug where the contact vanished from the screen, so I had to log and come back just to finish the arc and get the next mish! This destroyed any speed we had, and limited our leveling.

I would, however, like to thank

    Ayaa
    Demon Maestro
    Ms. Fingerbang
    Army of Indice
    ...

I am so sorry - I will need to update this when I can - I've lost the names!! Sorry!!!!

As for this week, it's time for FNV to do some heroism.

    ...

No, I haven't lost my mind. It's time to turn heroes into villains! I will be logging on with one of my heroes who I want to turn villainous, and invite you to do the same. The goal will be to have heroes drop to at least vigilantes within the month! Let's just see who comes to the Dark Side!!

    VILLAINY!!!!
