I'm sure this is back there somewhere but I'll dredge it up.
You can also tell yourself something. For instance one of my char's uses some TP binds to remove all the GUI elements while teleporting long distances. The first part of each bind goes something like this:
"t $name, Teleport Mode Activated$$..."
It's nice especially when you're using modal binds (ie. that put you in a particular mode of operation) and when you're testing a bind to give yourself a que that things are (or aren't) working as expected. -
I was thinking that it might be cool to get just for the actual binder itself (you know to put printed copies of the guides from the forums in and any misc. info that might collect) but at a MSRP of $34.99 it's kinda steep for just that.

I still use the old CoH Prima guide for DO and SO enhancement names and the maps for store locations (mainly for which origin is where). Yes, I know I could use Vidiot Maps, but I'm stuborn.

Ya, me too .. unless you're a mutant the names of the Enhansments (DOs and SOs) is pretty obscure ... -
Oh, and Ashlocke,
Maybe this will help you understand a bit more about JPEG files and the extra info that can be stored in them:
From What is an EXIF JPEG file?
[ QUOTE ]
The Exchangeable Image File (EXIF) format is an international specification that lets imaging companies encode metadata information into the headers or application segments of a JPEG file. This metadata information includes shutter speed, aperture, and the date and time the image was captured.
Current digital cameras store images using EXIF compressed files. These files use the classic JPEG DCT format. This means the image data can be read by any application supporting JPEG, including all Web browsers, image editing, desktop presentation, and document creation software programs.

A nice watered down explanation is here. -
And Pos,
Very nice! Kudos to you and your minions, er sidekicks! -
Ashlocke,
Now I'm a bit intrigued. If it's not paranoia as one of our esteemed posters suggested, what is your concern with the added information? If you don't use it or need it then why does it bother you that it exists?
I'm actually curious about your concerns and am not trying to be antagonistic. -

Poz,
For us people who don't use Photoshop could you make this work for Paint Shop Pro also?
[/ QUOTE ]
I would highly doubt it D, since Cryptic didn't create Paint Shop Pro which, while I don't use, I assume from your request doesn't read these standardized headers. I'd recommend that you send a request for this feature to JASC for them to include in a future release.
Have a good one! -

Basic Stealth Powers (Pools, temp powers, and Powers not in a Defense set like Blaster Cloaking Device, Controller Illusion Invisibilities):

What's the difference between All enemies will see you and Critters see you? -
SquirrelWizard,
There are several current P&P Superhero RPGs. There have also been several that went the way of the dodo. I think the point here is that this is the official City of Heroes game.
I don't see any bubbles being burst. -

This is my way too ... perhaps one day there will be waterproof notebooks so half my thoughts don't go down the drain! -
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ... my thread was hijacked by a potbellied man in spandex .......

I was wandering 'round the Burning Man web site and found a pic of Pos and a girlfriend (?) from 2004.

That armor sure must have been hot during the day, Pos! -

I didn't really pay attention until yesterday, but I know every missions I did yesterday could not be completed without defeating the boss.
[/ QUOTE ]
I certainly believe you, but, unless you did a pretty small number of missions, that's pretty unusual. Stealth BTW is a good power to ramp up the percentage of missions one can do without fighting bosses.
[/ QUOTE ]
Wait, now we're suppose to use stealth to avoid villains? Some heroes we are. Batman and Superman must be proud. (I know this seems kinda like a personal attack against you personally. But honestly, how can you make a game about heroes and design it so the heroes have to do something like what was posted above?)

This does kinda go in the face of Statesman's position that no one should be required to take a particular power pool -- I thought that was why they were "looking at" the fitness pool. -

I sent a PM to Statesman yesterday with a link to some pictures (no I'm not posting the link) showing the mission text from my contact mentioning nothing about a boss in the mission and, of course, the boss standing in front of the final blinkie that was needed to finish the mission.
I doubt he'll respond but hopefully he'll take a look and realize that he was very, very mistaken about his statement with all the anecdotal evidence that's been presented.
[/ QUOTE ]
I suggest that we start doing this from now on with EVERY mission we undertake. Maybe that will convince him hes wrong when he sees 1000+ PM's with photos and mission text
[/ QUOTE ]
So I got a reply from Statesman. His response was for me to /bug it. BTW he didn't go look at the pictures that I put up for him -- the counter on the page showed "2" when I looked. 1 from me when I put the page up to make sure that it looked right and 1 from me when I went to see if he'd looked at them. I guess that they just love their /bug reports.
I am a bit disapointed with the response. I pretty much indicates that we should bug almost every mission (ok that's an exageration, how about 70% of the missions?). I guess the game is headed for City of Paperwork. Is anyone afraid of having to /insuranceclaim after every hospital visit? -

If it's any indicator of the new boss problems:
I've been waiting for the free respec to make some changes to my Rad/Rad. Until yesterday I used Mutation a total on once in my run up to lvl 30. So it was definately outta there.
Yesterday, in one day, with the I3 changes, I used it at least 10 times. Not to mention the number of times that I had to be rez'd or the times where people ran out of missions to buy rez insp from contacts just to complete a mission. -
Turn off your AOE toggles on a runner so you don't agro mobs he runs through. Learned this the hard way with my rad/rad def!
