    'Early in the week' suggests to me that it might be something that could be fixed during Tuesday maintenance so I'm happy to sit patiently until then. This was a completely out of left field bug so credit to them for finding it so quickly. However, if I have to miss out a whole week of the headstart, I'm definitely going to start getting a bit crotchety.

    Exactly this. This is a very bizarre bug but I'm very glad that it's been found. I think I'd tried just about everything I could my end so I'm glad it's not my imagination and that something has been identifed as being wrong. I can confirm that my user ID is precisely 14 characters long.

    Thanks again to all the engineers working on the weekend and thank you for the update. I understand that it'll take time to fix but it's a relief to know that at least it's been found.
  8. Following similar advice, I removed then reinstalled the game all over again and the problem remains. However, I do not believe this is a problem with our clients but more something on the account side of the fence.

    Having now done the equivalent of 'turn it off then back on again', I hope someone starts taking this bug seriously before it claims more EU subscribers trying to regain access to the forums.

    Not the headstart weekend I was hoping for.

    So that gives us a count of six EU accounts that are locked out of the game due to this bug. I flagged this on Thursday and apart from one email that seemed to think I'd fixed the problem myself, nothing.

    I'm seriously losing patience with the whole affair.

    That's what I had to do back when we merged. We used to be able to set them ourselves (or at least the EU did) but that changed when we moved to these new forums.
  12. Y'know, I could leap in here and get all huffy being an EU player but I can't be bothered right now. All I want to be able to do is log in which is something I'm hoping this downtime fixes. If not, my mood is likely to go further southwards.

    All I'll say is that when it comes to making decisions that affect the whole playerbase, it's inevitable that changes that will affect the least number of players are preferable. As the EU is smaller than the NA playerbase, we get to feel the brunt of this. No official events, no competitions, no presence at conventions, downtime smack bang in our peak times and of course, the accursed global rename travesty where inactive and banned accounts were put as a higher priority than paying, loyal customers.

    I know all this and economically, it makes sense. Is it good customer service though? No. Because you do it to a particular section of the playerbase long enough and they get to feel pretty looked down on and even persecuted to some degree. As an EU player, I'm resigned to this. I don't even expect EU players' perspectives to be considered when it comes to change making decisions. Ho hum.

    What I will say is that on the whole non-EU players have been helpful, supportive and sympathetic towards EU players who are often out on a limb. And for that I'm very grateful.

    Now I'm going to go and cross my fingers and send think positive thoughts for the men and women attempting to fix the servers and have been kind enough to come in on the weekend to do it. Good luck to all of you I say.

    Unfortunately, that's what caused the problem in the first place.

    I was able to log into the game but not into the forum. So following the advice posted on the Facebook page, I changed my password only to find the situation 'hillariously' reversed. I can now log into the forum (although it does kick me out after every session) but the game refuses to let me in even though it's the same damn password.

    Still, thanks for the suggestions. I'm hoping the patch tonight will fix things so I can get some time in this weekend.

    Totally agreed. Regen is a one trick pony, just like SR and so I agree that it should resist regen debuffs. It would be thematically fitting as well.

    And yes, Revive is sometimes worse than a wakie and it seems out of line with the revives that other, more recent sets receive.

    I had a similar response on Friday morning having flagged it on Thursday night. I think they must have skim read my email, seen that I'd changed my password and assumed I was referring to the forum login bug. Either that or I worded it poorly. Poor support team, they're probably swamped right now. Never mind, as long as it gets sorted soon.

    Do you need the bonus totals as well for buying points in bulk? According to the NCSoft store, with the bonus added, the totals come out as:

    400 Pts - £3.40 - No bonus - 400
    1200 Pts - £10.20 - 120 - 1340
    4000 Pts - £34.00 - 600 - 4600
    8000 Pts - £68.00 - 1600 - 9600

    Not sure if this would skew the equations for 500 but thought I'd just mention it just in case.

    As for the price in Euros, I can't find the option in the store to change the price to Euros. However, I tend to use www.xe.com for international conversions.

    This is my hope too as another EU subscriber who can't enjoy the 'Head start' due to the 'Invald Username or Password' bug. Between that and the maintenance times slap bang in the middle of the EU peak times (of which this is another one, thanks) this hasn't been much of a headstart at all, more like an extended Beta.

    However... I recognise that a hot fix on the weekend is outside of normal service and I am deeply grateful for the devs giving up a portion of the weekend to come and fix the game. Fingers crossed that all goes smoothly and that it resolves the log in issues.

  22. Just to clarify, my Beta password is the same as the one I am currently using on live and to access the forums. However, there are no issues using it to log into Beta.
  23. I've just logged into the beta client using my password with zero issues.

    That is, I'm quite happily running around in game on the beta server.

    That makes us five from this thread alone, no idea how many more that could mean.

    I've updated my ticket too with a link to this thread as it does appear to be only EU accounts encountering this bug. I'm hoping that they get it fixed soon.
