ITs funny, the only problem I have with the new forums froma tech standpoint is loading is longer than before, probably due to the graphics.
I'm using Firefox 3.5.2. Quick reply works fine, I can see things fine. I have other issues with the new boards, but they are personal opinions so I won't go into those. -

Quote:If its that bad, and I don't think so I exemplar plenty, then lets just start with all powers available. no choosing nothing, all of them.<censor> "imbalance". Exemplaring isn't fun, because it takes away all these powers I worked to earn and play with.
Maybe in PvP there's a point to it, but for PvE content, I just don't see it. Damage, health, and so on already scale to level, so I don't see how having more powers is so much unbalancing. The low levels suck enough as it is (and i16 is going to speed them up even more).
I think the devs have realised that making the game fun is more important than "balance" issues (or they would have shut down AE long ago).
The idea is that the base level of a power would need to be adjusted to allow for powers to be available at all levels.
I find it a neat challenge when I loose powers cause I am exempt, creates a different situation for me and forces me to use different strategies.
Its just my opinion on this, and you can have your opinion also. I'm jsut saying I think its a bad idea. Now if they let you have up to the next 2 powers beyond the current level, I would be down with that. -
Quote:Honestly, I hope that they only let you keep the appropriate powers for the level you are exemping to. If they let you keep all the powers I think it would be too much and cause too much of an imbalance in the game overall.I am so hoping they let you keep powers when exemplaring in i16 (Posi seemed to hint about some sort of power retention, anyway). My hero needs Posi (and Synapse) too, but I absolutely hate exemplaring with her. I've just gotten far too used to having Foot Stomp.

Depends on if you install it properly and in a dual boot mode.
As someone who has Vista on his lappy (64bit home premium version) Once I turned off UAC, I had very little problem, and if I remember to run CoH as Admin I don't get the occasional crash or driver issues.
*puts on flame resistent underware*
Windows 7 is built on top of Vista. While it does have a bunch of fixes, it is still the same basic underpinnings. Vista with SP2 on it is rather stable, boots up faster than my 2 xp machines, and once UAC was turned off, has not been a problem child to me. Yes I am a techie for a living. The problem is still compatibility with some software in Windows 7. Windows 7 uses the same drivers as Vista also. Just fair warning on it all. -
*laughs unctontroably*
You.. Fiend.... The Rookery is such a nice place...
