Unfortunately, they've removed the download for the game (from my understanding) and I know someone with a VIP account who hadn't played for a few months who can't log in because it won't update.

Naturally, I have not read through the entire thread, yet, so I apologize if this is repetitious or has already been disproven.
  2. 1. Are you male or female?
    Female

    2. What ATs do you mostly play, and for what reason(s)?
Tanks/Brutes/Scrappers/Stalkers (for solo play); Blasters (for solo/team play); Defenders/Controllers/Dominators (for team play)

    3. Redside, blueside, purpleside, or any combination of the above?
    mainly blueside

    4. What are your favorite story arcs?
I love the ITF, honestly. It's a good arc and a good time.

    5. What makes you like this game?
The community and the involvement of the devs.

    6. What other games do you play?
Table Top: D & D, Shadowrun, Rifts, Call of Cthulu, Vampire: the Masquerade, Changling: the Dreaming, Werewolf: the Apocolypse
PC/Video: WoW, Guild Wars, Diablo II, Age of Mythology... that's all, for now, until I can get my hands on some other gaming platforms.

    7. How long have you been playing?
CoX = 4 years; Gaming in general = 10+ years

    8. How many alts do you have, what is the average level range, and how many are level 50?
I think I have 20 alts? Most of them are in the 20-30 range, or the 40-50 range.

    9. Do you bother with softcaps, set bonuses, and all that numerical stuff? What difficulty settings to you normally use?
I have other people do my number crunching. And, when I remember that I can change my difficulty settings, depending on the type of character I'm running, it'll be anywhere from +2x2 to the max.

Also, something you may be interested in is the Daedalus Project. Ten years worth of gamer research. Good luck!!
  3. One more update: If you would rather make a charitable donation, please give to DonateGames. No contribution is too small.

  5. For those of you who knew @Code Red, aka Sydereal, it is with a heavy heart that I pass along the news of his passing. His wife left me a note this evening saying that he had passed on.

At this time, I do not know the details of his passing, but I have reached out to his wife to find out if she would like donations made to a charity in his name. I will most assuredly post her response.

Sydereal was only in his early- to mid- thirties. He is survived by his wife and their two very young boys.

Ascendant shared with me this quote from Syd. I share it now with you all:

"We all have our stories, and we all manage to get past our issues, we have to or there would be no Paragon City, now would there. Cheer up! If its true then at least you have something to look forward to."

    R.I.P. Sydereal

Yes, it's PvP in that you will be pitted against another playing character. It is not, necessarily, a fight to the death! Here are the rules:

*Characters must be at least lvl 31 to participate.

    *NO INVENTION ORIGIN ENHANCEMENTS (IO's)
-You may use Training Enhancements, DO's, or SO's

You have time to create characters and level them, should you desire. Sign up here on on The Cape forums (or both!) for the Marvel vs. DC contest.
For the PvP only, yes. Slots won't matter as much since I'm not allowing IO's--singles or sets. This is on the honor system here.

If you'd like my reasoning behind it, it is this:
*Some people will be creating characters just for this event.
*The Arena will not allow me to set 30 as the minimum level.
*Therefore, 31 became the minimum level as it is a reasonably attainable level for a new character.
*IO's and IO sets can be extremely expensive and this isn't about who has "more loot," it's about who would win in a fight between Superman & Wolverine.
*It's just for fun, not for serious.
*Not everything will be a PvP fight. Some things will be races, some will be monologue-offs, etc. It depends on the characters involved as to what you'll be doing.
*Level 31 gives more people the opportunity to participate, in my opinion.

I SUBMIT: Death Poll (as Deadpool. Kat/Regen scraper with as many gun-like temp powers as I can find!).

    Hopefully he doesn't get generick-rolled.
Remember, you only need to be to level 31 for the PvP part of it.

    We'll see you there!

  15. Costume Contests will include Silver Age, Golden Age, and all the rest--heroes, villains, sidekicks, etc! They'll be on-going throughout the night.

Trivia Contest will challenge your comic book knowledge and will also be on-going throughout the night.

If you have questions email me: crymson.fate@gmail.com ))
*Try to dress in the style of your hero/villain you're emulating
