Cynic

Ice and fire are good primaries for mellee, and also both good secondaries. Fire has the edge on damage, but ice has the lovely slows and a pet that helps you control too.

Mind/Fire is an awesome combination too.

Ice and fire both have aura's in primary, is why I use them.

Possibly Ice/Fire would be cool now I think about it. Arctic Air is a lovely aura for the squishy, and the fire mellee attacks rock

I found out I couldn't play a controller, but give me an ice sword in my secondry and my scrapping side takes over, and hey, I aint so bad

I think I might have left the 4th one in for my Rad defender, not sure. do use it with AM and am trying to get the most I can from both. But it probably is a waste to be honest and it wont be there next respec

My defender only runs 1 acc in EMP, cause I use AIM first, allows 3 hold durations in it (not close to the 5 that used to be there, but its a start)

3 and 3 in RI runs alright so long as you run a couple of endreds in EF, EF uses more end anyway, and cant be enhanced in effectiveness anyway. I like getting the most from RI, and was 3 and 3 pre ED anyway, having tried 4 and 2 both ways.

They play differently from Controllers IMHO so there is a possibility that people who played controllers in COH tried them, and didn't like them. Where as those that couldn't get on with Controllers have avoided them, thinking they'd be like a controller

Its not so bad for most defenders I think. Certainly not horifying for Rad defenders (though I miss my 5 hold durations in EMP) because most powers take more than one enhancement so you can split it 3 and 3.

I do feel sorry for FFs and the defence only powers, but only if they feel sorry for my SR scrapper

Hey now they can mention MM's here, as long as its worded "my MM pales in comparrison to Cynic's Dominators" then its acceptable

I dont feel underpowered with either dominator, though pre SO's its harder work than it needs to be, maybe.

SO's made more of a difference than the pet did for me, the pet just made soloing nicer, hasn't really helped as much in team play

Er how would that work? thunderclap is a disorient? and wormhole is also a disorient but moves a mob to a different location? That combo seems daft imo. If your going to couple thunderclap with a power make it the group immobilize.


Oh and as a panic button wouldn't dimension shift from the gravity primary work better?

Wormhole on any that the thunderclap missed what what I meant, dimension shift is another panic button though, I said I want a lot of them, cause I panic a lot as a controller

I actually like the human form of WS for visuals too, more stunning than any other. PBs make anoying noises and I like my sound up when I play.

When I first started playing I thought DA was the most anoying sound in the game. Having played more and teamed with most of the AT's I've found that FF defenders bubbling makes me twitch, the targeting drone imediately made me turn down the sound and PBs made me want to put some distance between me and them over all DA isn't that bad.

I think the WS colours help but a WS in dwarf form still makes me say think "WOW" from time to time, but squid blasters completely unimpressive in my books. Blasting pah, that's not a real mans hero now is it.

I'd probably suggest 1acc 3hold and 2dam............ but I'm only theorising

I do see your point though, as long as I feel my control powers are making everyone's life easier I am happy, and if I'm also hitting people with a big bit of ice I'm evern happier
