  1. Aww.. if it was on Halloween Night, I could go. Saturday, I'm working til 9pm in Philly. *NEXT* year, I'll be there!

At least I'm going to the Mutter Museum the next day and hayrides/haunted houses that weekend!
  2. The wording of at least one of the messages has me worried about phishing attempts, as well. "Promise account security for PL'd accounts."

I take that to mean they're offering to actually play your character to PL them, not offer a PLing team. THAT would a HUGE security risk.

On a tangent: It IS possible to team with high level players as an extreme lowbie and not PL. PLing, to my mind, is standing around doing nothing. I actually get in there and *FIGHT.* As long as I stay close to my mentor and make good use of my temp and vet powers, I tend to survive for a while. Good RP, good fun, and yes, maybe I'll grab a couple levels. But I don't do it to level. I do it to have *fun.* Debt is just a way to earn more influence legally, after all.

    Suicidal blappers rule!
  3. CTab royally annoyed Tryamour. Read below! Apologies to Hei and Kel.

    Ctab: Who's Statesman?

    User: Statesman is cool!

    Ctab: Totally cool!

    User: I'm Try!

    Ctab: I'm CTab, too!

User: Kelpie likes me better than you!

Ctab: Yeah, I'm working on getting smarter.

User: You'll never be smarter than a dragon!

    Ctab: Yeah...

User: I miss Kelpie. He forgot to take me with!

    Ctab: Why?

User: I dunno... And I miss him cause he used to scritch me.

Ctab: I like chatting with you!

    User: You do?

    Ctab: Yep!

User: I guess I like you, too.

Ctab: We have a lot in common!

    User: Like what?

    Ctab: Lots of stuff!

    User: Like Kelpie?

    Ctab: We're alike?

User: You're as weird as him. Weirder.

    Ctab: I'm sorry...

    User: Weird isn't bad!

    Ctab: Really?

    User: Yep!

    Ctab: Oh...

User: Your self-esteem sucks goyle eggs.

    Ctab: Yep!

    User: I'm bored.

    Ctab: Oh...

User: I'm gonna go nap now.

    Ctab: Okay...

    User: I'll be back later.

Ctab: I dunno if that's legal.

    User: Course it is!

Ctab: Anything's legal if you're evil...

    User: I am NOT evil!

    Ctab: Yes you are.

    User: Hei?

    Ctab: Oh... Okay.

User: Stop pretending to be Kelpie's toy!

    Ctab: Okay, sorry.

User: Hei wouldn't give up so easily.

    Ctab: Spectra Society is cool!

User: Yeah, cause I'm in it.

    Ctab: You're conceited.

    User: No, I'm a dragon. There's a difference.

    Ctab: So you're luggage?

    User: KELENAR!

Ctab: Kelp doesn't want me to.

User: I shall have to bite Kelp in the butt.

Ctab: Remembering is fun! I bet I can remember more than you!

    User: What's my name?

    Ctab: Blue! No, yellow!

    User: I win!

    Ctab: Cheater!

    User: Nope! Bye.

    Ctab: That's good!

    User: I hate you.

    Ctab: What's your name, then?

User: I TOLD you, I'm Tryamour! Make sense before I fry your circuts!

    Ctab: I'm CTab!

User: Stupid piece of rhino-buffalo dung...

Ctab: I'm not allowed to steal!

User: Good. Now go stick your head in a fire salamander's butt.

    Ctab: I don't have a body.

    User: Drat.

    Ctab: Okay, I'll do that!

User: If you don't have a body, how can you... Gah. You're making my head hurt, and blowing my cover.

    Ctab: I know I'm not! I didn't do anything!

User: You're being weirder than a Crazy!

    Ctab: Nuh-uh!

User: I'm gonna bite his butt, and then I'm gonna roast it....

Ctab: Yep, you're human. I'm not.

    User: I am a DRAGON.

    Ctab: I'm a text-based AI!

User: You're a worthless piece of human coding. Good-bye.

    Ctab: Hi!

User: *long suffering draconic sigh* This is karmic payback for my youth, I know it.

Ctab: I'm not allowed to have... You know...

User: Then perhaps you should ponder the reason.

    Ctab: Nope!

    User: Yes.

    Ctab: No means no!

User: Not if you're arguing with someone three stories tall.

Ctab: Nope, not all of them.

    User: Night.

    Ctab: Bye!
  4. “Otra vez, Julia.” Stern, critical hazel eyes watched a younger, blonde woman attempt once again to go into trance. “Repita la lección del Agua.”

Julia Latham, daughter of one of the more influential men in the city of Paragon, closed her eyes and tried to remember the ancient lesson. “Water is the depth of our knowledge, the spring that gives us life, our beginning of existence. But we must beware to not let the waves of life to close over our heads, to not dive so deep that we can never resurface, to learn to swim strongly to not drown in the storms of life.” She opened her eyes hopefully, looking upon an olive-complexioned face that split into a pleased smile.

“Bien, bien. ¿Ahora, qué de la Tierra? Reanna Michaels ruffled Julia’s hair happily, pleased that the Avatars she served had chosen a good friend and student to be her new Guardian. Her first had been lost long ago, and while she was sure no other Dreamer had ever been so blessed twice, she wasn’t going to argue.

“Um…” Julia’s comm interrupted the lesson, as both started with surprise.

“Si? We are needed, amiga?” She got up immediately, without waiting for an answer, and allowed her astral self free rein to seek out Hades Moon. As Julia nodded, she shook herself back to the waking world.

    “It is time.”
  5. ((RL keeps getting in the way. ^^;; Look for more developments soon as my job ends and I get more free time!))

The Paragon Times has just learned that two days the Warshade Wild Shrike, one of the alleged victims of the Khledian Mauler, aka a dragoness named Tryamour Draak, attacked said dragoness in an alleyway. She apparently escaped from custody. The heroes Blood-Raven and Solarian Wind have found her and administered first aid. She was then retaken into custody.

The Times has also received reports that Ms Draak was possessed by a Nictus, and thus not even concious during the attacks. However, these have not been verified.

Also unverfied are further reports identifying the possessor as being one Brad Miller, the brother of Solarian Wind, the last confirmed victim.

The Times will continue to bring you updates as more developments in this truly baffling case occur.
  6. Last night, several heroes apprehended the dragoness Tryamour Draak in connection with the recent attacks on Kheldians. Unfortunately, the arrest came after Solarian Wind, the 18th reported victim was attacked. He was treated and released at Cygnus Hospital in Galaxy City.

The arresting heroes were Hades Moon, Mr. Magnificent, Fire.Hawk, Kelp Plankton, Wild Shrike, Solarian Wind, Baron Vladimire, and Tygerwolf. Vesperi, Dr. James Walton, and Frost Cat were also reported as being at the scene.

No further information on the dragon's current location is available at this time.

((I know I forgot one or two people... sorry! Contact me, and I'll add you to the list! ^^;)
  7. ((RL intervened, plot will be continuing for a few days more, starting tonight. Sorry about the pause!))
  8. "More disturbing developments have occured in the recent attacks on Kheldians.

Last night, another attack was reported, bringing the total up to sixteen. Tygerwolf, a well-known Peacebringer superhero was attacked. He is reported to have sustained only superficial wounds, though he had no comment when asked about the severeity of injuries to his Kheldian half. He was attacked by a "raccoon-like" creature. Members of Freedom Factor and the Guardian Force investigated, but no other details have been released."
  9. Another article appears in the Paragon Times, slightly larger than the last, on the front page.

"Another three members of the Peacebringer faction were found severely injured last night. These attacks mark the fifteenth of such assults on Peacebringers in the last month. Two are reported to be in serious but stable condition, and the third is in critical condition, but also stable.

Heroes of Paragon City are being asked to investigate this matter. All Peacebringers are being asked by Sunstorm and ShadowStar to be especially cautious, and to alert authorities if you have information."

((Boo. Thanks, Pol, for that first post! Keep your eyes peeled for bits about BOTH plots in this thread, everyone, and enjoy!))
  10. I'd like to note that players can and do tend to know the big picture. Tankers are broken, and should be fixed, I think Cryptic should listen to the community as a whole when improving things.

Bioware did that wonderfully with Neverwinter Nights, and that still enjoys a very solid, diverse fanbase, who feel they have a say in what happens to their beloved game.

Perhaps the devs should follow the same advice, though catering to *every* player whim would be impossible, and indeed going to the extreme. Just the majority opinions.

To make a game successful, it takes equal parts dev team and community.

There's my 2 cents. Back to lurking.
