Filter reached the heady heights of lvl 12 yesterday afternoon, it's been good fun playing him all the way so far!
I've skipped Shadow Maul too for similar reasons, Siphon Life (which I took at lvl 8) has saved my bacon a few times, it'll be much better when fully slotted, I've just put 2 acc do's in it for now.
I picked up Lightning Field at lvl 4 and it works well when taking on multiple enemies, I cycle my attacks on everything in melee range to debuff them and once fury has built up, the ticks from LF drop the mobs very quickly, as well as creating plenty of aggro

I'm also going to put off getting a travel power till the mid to late 20's and rely on Hurdle + CJ plus the temp travel powers from Mayhem missions as well as the Goldbricker pack

Next up at 14 is a choice between Touch of Fear or Static Shield.

Observations so far.....Solo's very well, also duoed with a Corr and again with a Dom and we flew through the missions.
Plays very differently to my SS/Inv Brute but just as much fun. End use is a problem in these early lvls, but that should change with decent slotting, Stamina and SO's...oh and one of the end rec powers.

I'll keep you updated as I progress.

Just thought I'd ask if anyone has tried Dm/Elec yet? I rolled one yesterday and really enjoyed it....my thinking is that the primary with its acc debuffs and heal will make up for Elec Armours weaknesses....only at lvl 6 so far but it seems like a fun set to play.

The Circle of Thorns can be a real problem for SS/Inv in the 20's, you will be cursing anything with 'Spectral' in its name , also the Tsoo Ink men can really slow you down when they stack debuffs on you, makes it difficult to keep fury up when you've been hit by 3 or 4 siphon speeds

I took my lvl 8 nin/nin on a mayhem mish yesterday (solo)
I hadn't read anything about them so off I trot, skirt past some police, see a car all on its own and use build up and then AS, the car explodes and the next thing I know is I'm stunned for a while and see Longbow coming for me.

I ran to the bank marker, with the Longbow taking potshots at me, I go into the bank and AS the first guard and scrap the 2nd....then the Longbow come in after me, all 5 of em!
Luckily I had 3 luck insps, so I used them and managed to scrap them (just, flashing steel attack came in very handy!) as the last one droped I had about 10hp left

Went through the rest with no probs and managed to get the insp tray filled up. Got to the vault and after getting the cash, I waited for the Hero (Flambeaux), used all the inspirations and used BU + AS on the approaching Hero and then finished of a Longbow Sergeant and a few more PPD officers who were in attendance and managed to complete the mission

My first go at a Stalker and I really enjoy it so far.

I'm back to being active, Johnny H is now lvl 26 and soloing elite bosses in style although I think I'm gonna have to ease up on earning prestige as new SO's are due in 9 bars time....oh and yeah I can invite Jewely

Tufty is spot on, our assault on Frostie was an outstanding display of team work and most of all, for me anyway, it was fun! I've enjoyed the AR/En so far to lvl 11, long may it continue.....For The Emperor!!!!

Just a few thoughts on the empaths for the Rifles:
If a Chapter of Space Marines did find themselves trapped in Paragon, surely they would take advantage of things such as healing powers and any other power for that matter to give them even more of an advantage over the enemy.

Speaking of enemies, one last suggestion, we should all vote on which faction/group are our most hated enemy, for instance: Crey, as they actively work with genetics, could be classed as heretics, we could even believe that they are attempting to obtain a sample of the Emperors gene from one of our fallen Brothers. Could be a cool idea for one of D's great stories.

If you're going to take fly as a travel power, how about Air Sup?
