When I started leading the raids, it was my goal to try to get as many people able to lead the teams as possible such that it would be easy for people to pick up and raid. Or if another group of people would like to step up and try to lead raids on Sundays, I have no problem alternating with them. It simply comes down to communicating to me what your intentions are, and I'll try my best to be accomodating.

I missed the raids this week, but personally I wouldnt feel too bad Amy. You were the raid leader and it was your call on who lead what positions. From what I know of you I am sure you made the changes necessary in as tactful of a way as possible.

People getting butthurt over decisions that were made by someone actually running community events in a way that they think is best for the majority, and the overall success of the event need to get over themselves, or lead their own raids IMHO.

I am not a numbers expert but I would assume that if you cap speed and jump without TS, that when TS hits you would also be capped. The whole point of TS is that you will be suppressed no matter what. I am pretty sure its a certain percent off the base value, so no amount of slotting is going to impact that percentage.

I know my pvp toons have SJ, SS, hurdle and swift 3 slotted. I know before Io bonuses that brought them up to cap, and actually slightly over with the 3rd slot. With movement bonuses I am sure less would suffice depending on what sets your build utilizes.

Go to tab and add arena to your chat tab. You will know you have it right when you see insistantly annoying l33t speak and bad grammar in a pink color. In order to l33t speak back at them just type /arena.

So my question is if this is to get more pvp going are you willing to take someone who may / may not be able to make it to every practice?

I have been missing test / highend pvp, but have refrained from joining any teams because my schedule makes me undependable at times and the last thing I want to do is let down my team. This is sounding like possibly an abundance of people where one person missing from practice won't make or break the lineup?

I have been thinking the same thing reading this thread. Don't get me wrong I am probably the worst at saying something on vent like "damn that nub has group fly and whirlwind at lvl 25 but doesn'nt have their tank shields yet".

However the first thing I will do then is check their vet badges. If they have been playing a while then I sign them off as being retarded that they haven't figured out the game mechanics any better than that yet. However if they are fairly new to the game I will send them a private tell and offer some suggestions rather than be an [censored] to them in team chat like I have seen so many others do.

I remember my first toon. Farmtank (Tony) had to take me to the store at level 27 to get SO's because I didn't know such a thing existed, and I didn't powerlevel. I also had the med set on my scrapper all the way to lvl 50 because I wanted to help heal and rez. Hell she still has jumpkick on her, but that is due to concept not because I don't realize the power sucks.

Point is we have all been nubs. The problem is that after a while (6, 9, 12 months vets) you expect some simple game mechanics to dawn on them. Eventhough as a new player I didn't know a damn thing about the forums to read up on powers....I could look at my teammates and realize they were not having the endurance issues I was having and check out their powers and see what they had different than I had. Or to check out the same AT's as me and see what different powers they had and send them a tell and ask them what those powers did.

Point is rather than being judgemental about people that pl to 50 and don't have any vet badges, realize that if the lvl 50's didnt invite those new low level players to the farms then it wouldn't be such an epedimic. I mean can you blame the little kidd for smoking a joint when the adults leave them sitting around in an ashtray and then they smoke it and its like holy crap this feels good to get this high this quick?

Just a few of the pertinant definitions for solo for you. A shivan, mech, amy or any of the other temp power "beings" would make you no longer "solo" or "alone". Your teammates taunting baddies away or taunting rommies aggro, or taunting the ambushes away means you are not SOLO.

Now if you are telling me that you can SOLO Rommie in 1 minute with no other "beings", "allies", "teammates" or "pets" that are not part of your powersets then I have some swampland to sell you in Florida.

Nothing but the powers that come with your toon. It is impossible. Period. Unless you use an exploit, and if you find defeating Rommie to be such a challenge that you need to cheat then thank gawd you don't trust me enough to team with me.

Hrm. I was thinking of maybe moving my Strike Force idea to the second and fourth Saturdays of the month with the redside Hamidon raid going monthly, but you make a good point in that just kills Saturdays for everybody else. Eh, I may as well just keep Strike Force Sundays the way it is.

I think several small events can easily be ran on the same nights and not be conflicting and just offer a nice variety for players to choose from. Even on hami nights having another smaller ran event such as a tf race or badge event is fine as well. Offers those who don't like doing hami raids an alternative.

Where the problem comes in is if people schedule large events on the same nights as hami raids. For example a rikti ship raid and hami raid at the same time would be conflicting. Both need a good amount of people and could actually fail without enough people.
