Rules::
- No temp powers. No vet powers. No temp buffs or pets. No Purchaseable pack powers. No Temp pets. None. Really. Take them out of your tray, if you use them you are DQ'd. Yes this even includes Nemesis staff and Assemble the Team. If you did not get the power from the trainer its a DQ if you use it. The ONLY exceptions are passive temp powers from the Holiday event or Safeguards or Day Jobs. Only if they are "always on" , if you have to click it, you can't use it. KK?
- Solo or Duo only. VILLAINS ARE ALLOWED!
- Solo times will be cut automatically in half.
- Each global may only enter once.
- No do overs. Not even an oopsie at the beginning. Once time starts, thats it.
- Time starts with the first attack, be it damage or debuff.
- Buffing is allowed before attacking.
- No outside buffs/heals etc allowed.
- Tier 1 inspirations only.
- No base buffs.
- You are welcome to use your surrounding enviroment any way that you want to win. (The exception to this is pulling aggro on to spectators)
- If someone not on your team attempts to rez you do not accept it. Only rezzes from your partner or yourself that are from a power you received at a trainer are allowed. Sorry, hospital it!
- Die as much as you want but the clock is still ticking.
- I must be invited to your team before you start and no I won't be helping in any way. :-)
- All Spectators please remain on the rooftop that we normally form up for Rikti raids on.
- If you haven't defeated it within 10 mins, sorry, have a nice night.
- If you are one of those melee dudes that need baddies to buff off of your time begins as soon as you aggro the first one to pull it. Whether you use an actual power to do it or not is irrelevant.
- Any level toons are allowed.
- You will not be permitted to start until all buffs not applied by yourself or your duo partner wear off.If you are not ready when you are called for your turn you go to the back of the line. I will be calling people in the order that they register.
- Registration is required. Send me a tell with both toon names if its a duo. If I do not respond in a reasonable amount of time to confirm registration then resend.
- Please do not ask me about previous contestants times. Just do your best and have fun while doing it.
- I usually forget something important so I reserve the right to change the rules as needed.
1st place -- 400 million (to be split 50/50 if a duo)
2nd place-- 100 million (to be split 50/50 if a duo)
3rd place-- 50 million (to be split 50/50 if a duo)

Regarding the underlined portion: If you were actually using this as a public discussion, then the indicated line would be a bit odd, wouldn't it? You see, public forums and public posts could have interest for anyone in the public! So, this just goes to prove my point that this entire discussion should have been through PMs.
You are right though, I don't play on this server... but when I saw the OP, I couldn't resist.
Might I also comment that "OP" is not a verb. It is the abbreviation of a noun. -

True enough, but that was just one event planned from a whole day's worth of activities, all of which could have gone on without her being there, if things were set up like they could have been. It just seems odd that if there's other leaders in the group, no one was leading.
The bad thing here is that it was run in an SG name to begin with. Had it not been this conversation would not be happening right now. That doesn't change the fact that RL happens and GTFova it.
Wrong is wrong. She has been wrong about a bunch of **** lately but having a RL interferance keeping her from running an event is not one of them.
I have missed my own events before, a couple of them in fact. No one else ran them for me and no one gave me a hard time like this thread is. The only reason you guys are making such a big stink about it is because you don't care for her or her ways. I don't care for her either but that doesn't mean I can't have common sense to realize this is a freaking video game and even if she just wanted to go get a manicure in RL that is still more important than any event could be here. -

BTW, "IF" I was farming pvp recipes not only would it be none of your business, but also not a bannable offense being toons pvp'n against each other is the way the game was intended to be played. 30 minute match limits totally eliminated the ability to AFK farm anymore.

On a side note guys give AOW and Felicia a break. **** happens. People have real life emergencies. If something happened to me and I couldnt make it to my event no one else would be able to jump in and run it either. I would have the cash and all the specifics personally. Then again this is one of the reasons I don't run events in my SG's name then there isn't any expectations for them to pick up the ball if I don't make it.
Either way as long as its resceduled then no need to get your panties in a bunch. This is a video game and RL is way more important. -

As for PERC, i made the offer to Dazz Marvelous and the quote about PERC saying they had adequate funding and thought events should have people come out for fun and not big profits came directly from him.
Even if no one remembers this, it doesnt matter, AOW has volunteered to fund events if they are beneficial to everyone and not a small select group. We offered extra funds to 4shes and for The Mighty Writer's Contest this past year. Neither 4shes or Mighty has any association with AOW.
Earlier this year we started a thread asking what events you would like to see. We are still open to suggestions, or if Cat has events that will be good for everyone as opposed to the same usual PvPers, we would be willing to help out still.
Oops, i just reread the last part of Cat's thread, there is no need to mention our sg for donations, contact me in-game and we will help out, i will talk to our other leaders or you can contact them - Frozen Flafatron, Shaawiing, Apochrypha, Gadgetter, Toxic Striker, Roxanne Frost, William Alexander, White Raven (MIA atm), Solarflames, or our glorious new leader of main division PRIXY. Or contact Dave Mebs, he still has a voice in AOW and can wrestle us into helping. Other prominent members to talk to Illyana Radburner, Skye Swift and OBAMA 08.
Anyways, like I said people donate all of the time. Silas donated 400mil just today to my Monster Mash event. If at any time you do want to donate to an event just let me know and I will be happy to take it, no doubt. -
Ok I got Silas's donation of 400 mil, so now each kill shot is doubled and worth 200 mil each. Hope to see lots of people there!

Met with EXILES for a pvp match the other day and had to cancel it. You guys never learn, you dont challenge a 2 WEEK old pvp sg then show up with 7-8 Uber-Purple lvl 50's with no intention of making the teams fair and expect others to compete.
PvP never became popular because of this attitude. You are bullies and PvP is not dead, it never was alive to begin with.
I talked with Pingu the other day and he said they had challenged Stryke-Force to Base Raids and PvP but Stryker always said not interested. I asked Stryker 2 yrs ago why we did not PvP or Base Raid, he said "There is no point to it". Hate to say it but Stryker is right! There are no benefits, it is boring, and the players who do it are way to often juvenile.
LES doesn't pvp, at all. So why exactly are you mentioning them in this thread. JFC. -
I wouldn't necessarily say PVP drops are non-existant. I have only been back to pvp'n for about 2 weeks now and have gotten 4 so far in just a few hours of pvp here and there. On support with very few kill shots myself.
I think the problem is more that the people pvp'n are like 1/100,000th of a percent compared to those pve'n and earning purple recipes. The few people still pvp'n are probably keeping a good percentage of those for their own builds rather than selling them.
Pretty sure the drop rate is working as intended, just not enough pvp still around to fund those trying to buy them up at the market.
Obviously after all this time there isn't a fix to pvp, I am quite sure that they won't miraculously decide to be generous and bump up the drop rate to make up for the people that are gone and not here to help fund the market.
