This. When Bud approached me with the problem I told him the exact same thing I told dUmb when they asked about a possible sharing of an account. "What we don't know won't hurt us", which is where the option to change account/toon names came from. Here is how you can make your situation fit the rules. If teams do not want to use that option then the answer is no sharing accounts, no fillers, no playing other people's accounts. The same answer has been told to other teams. I am enforcing the rules as written, no exceptions.

As if stating on the official boards that you are breaking the EULA and then expecting me as the leader of the PvPEC to post "yeah ok cool" was going to happen..........


Match rules such as match settings, banned powers ect are up for a vote by team Captains if necessary. The actual league format and rules that are traditional in most Leagues or against NC Soft's EuLA are not up for vote. Rules that were put in place to keep the BS that happened during the Freedom league from happening here are not up for vote.

It is simple, and why I made it very clear in several posts. I have to enforce the rules 100% regardless of the individual circumstances. If I make an exception here then player x next week that wants to let their brother who just so happens to be an Ex test player play their account or the week after that the player who wants to let their lover play their account will want the exception too. The people that are crying for the exception now will be the first to think it is unfair when an exception is made for someone else. To keep it consistent and fair across the board I am enforcing all rules 100%.

We should all be able to get along and be nice and not have a wall of text for rules. Those that participated in the Freedom league should be able to see why I am being hardcore on consistency regardless of circumstance this time. I want a fair and drama-free event. (yeah I know that is impossible when talking about teh pvp.)

The rules for this event are all there for a reason. Some of the more tedious rules were to keep this fair for the new pvp'r and the casual pvp'r. It is quite common on test leagues and high end leagues to use fillers, share accounts etc. One of the tactics used several times on the Freedom league was to hide on other vents and use fillers. Team walks in expecting a subpar pvp'r to be playing a toon and come to find out some hardcore pvp'r is playing that account. Then who you thought you could farm is no longer farmable. Who you thought you were fighting is not who you were fighting.

I wrote the rules with the intentions of at least keeping that kind of stuff to a minimum. I also wrote them to enforce the EuLA which the PvPEC is supposed to do and what I intend to do.

There is no bitterness or attitude. Other teams have been told the exact same thing. I am being consistent, not being bitter.

I am "assuming" based on this roster that there appears to be an intention of sharing accounts. Budweiser may not play Sgt. Klaw's account. Player #4 may not play Budweiser accounts. I am going to correct the roster being it has to be posted tonight to get this weeks schedule. However realize it is not acceptable as it is and will not be allowed as it is so please make whatever arrangements and adjustments that are necessary and repost a corrected roster before your first match.
