Awesome thanks! That was all I really wanted to know. I appreciate the response! I'd talk more, but I have a sandwich in my laps. Yes. Plural.

My search-fu is severely lacking, I must admit. I am trying to decide what would be a good APP for my fire/dark corr. I'm trying to take into account thematic fits (soul mastery would fit the character perfectly) vs practicality (mmmm aoe Immob).
So really, just how valuable would mako/mace's aoe immob be, factoring in tar patch & fearsome stare. Do i really need that extra control, or would it just be overkill?
Soul Mastery, as I said, would fit my character perfectly, what with being an evil demon blah blah blah blah, and I just cant see him whipping out a big ol mace to shoot webs out of. But on the other hand, there is focused accuracy and the like. I dont run into Oh Shi- moments enough to need anything other than Demonic. Leviathan mastery seems to be a decent middle ground, kind of, between theme and function.
But I could really use some practical advice. -
I really dont understand how you could have an SoA or Widow switch sides. SoA's are supplied by arachnos, (Omega Maneuver, archnobots etc) So I would imagine switching would cut you off.
Besides, then you wouldnt be a Soldier of Arachnos, you'd be a Soldier Formerly Known as of Arachnos, and that just doesnt have the same ring to it.
So honestly, I dont really wanna see the possibility to switch sides with the SoA/widows... but on the other hand, I REALLY want an evil warshade. All Lovecraftian and such. And while I dont think it would make much sense story-wise, it is probably a neccesity to have both able to switch sides. -
So it seems like we've determined that (probably) impure 'dyne will burn you out by inflicting more damage to your body than the drug can compensate for, if you OD. Which makes me wonder what would happen if you also took Excelsior, the regenerative drug that Freaks take. If it doesnt have a negative reaction to 'dyne, that could be a potentially powerful drug cocktail. Super strength and rage and the like from 'dyne, and the toughness to hack your arm off and replace it with cybernetics. Granted, you dont really need the cybernetics with troll-strength, but the Excelsior would allow your body to cope with any changes you underwent from 'dyne abuse. All you'd have to put up with are the OTHER horrible side effects. Maybe thats what the family cuts it with.
Also, no one has mentioned, why do the higher up trolls have earth powers? They can cover themselves in stone and manifest giant rock hammers. Whats up with that? Is that like a primitive form of gravity control or something? -
It is probably likely that the leviathan was shifted by the eruption, up from the depths. I figure if I were going to imprison a giant 'end of the world monster' as a god, I would bury it so deep there wouldnt even be an island. So it could be that the eruption that shattered the Isles shifted the landmasses underwater around, and pushed the leviathan towards the surface, creating the island.
Also, do we know WHEN Bat'zul was stuck down in the volcanoe? I cant remember if Padre Henri trapped him there or just fought him there, but if the demon was present at the time of the eruption, it would explain the island shattering. Granted I am pretty sure that is unlikely.
On a different note, maybe the whole area is shot through with those magic coral crsystal thingies that are prized by magic users. That might like... amplify the explosion and provide for more dramatic things or something. I'm mostly just talking about my [censored] here.
