  1. Will this Easter pun egg-based madnessery never end? I'm cracking up...

its things like this that make me happy to be stuck in owrk on a sunny day and not planted in front of the home PC waiting for the servers to come back up

    'Cept for the owrk part.

I think there was an incident recorded on fraps for you tube showing a blaster confused in RV running to Atlas Park and hitting AIM, BU, Nova all the RP'ers. Resulted in a few bans but i bet that was the funniest thing to see in PvP/Pve.

    =D Pre i13-Confuse FtW

For all time spent hanging around thinking of something to chat about, a confused blaster setting off Nova to kill everyone would certainly liven things up a little.

Though as an RPer, my first response would be to scream blue murder, then calm down somewhat and have a good chuckle.
  4. Condemnation of a heroine's overly large breasts in one thread and now outrage at revealing costumes in another?

    In the same day?

My, my, aren't we all growing up all of a sudden?!

So magic booster pack is the same as buying a prostitiute?

    mmkay.

When they say things have to get 'darker and edgier' I wasn't quite picturing that, but hey, it's a party, make yourself comfortable.
  6. I bought the Mac update as I play on a mac, so I might as well have something that makes it look like I don't need to use parallels to play my copy of CoX.

That and the Valkyrie set is very cool indeed, letting you have wings and capes and such from scratch at level 1.

As for this one? Mmm most likely not.

...The boobs are all huge, which is sexist, impractical, and objectifies women! I'M A DESIRABLE MODERN MAN!

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm a man, modern and desirable being more subjective arguments, and by general definition like boobs. I just don't like to see all female toons with huge boobs, particularly in the form of spandex-clad superheroines with breasts the size of a city block where the trope has become a cliché. There's a place for them in civilised society (and CoX too), but not absolutely everywhere on everything lacking a Y chromosome.

Superhero men, of course, all look like that, in that they're either enormous Mr Universe a-likes and super muscular, or lean and super-muscular. It's an obvious reflection of real life.

    *looks in mirror*

Aww [censored]. Real life = fail.

Do you people play the same game as me?! You can't build a CoH female without at least B-cups!

    [/ QUOTE ]

True, even having the chest slider as far over to the left as it will go still doesn't produce particularly small boobs. That's still no real excuse (i.e. one that anyone else will believe) to turn the Chest slider all the way up to eleven, though.
  9. TV Tropes is even more of a time-sink for me than CoX. It's a useful resource, too, for applying, averting and subverting the various tropes that we've all seen a million times but never quite catch on to.

    Anyway, less hijackin', more DAZin'

Getting back to a trainer, for instance, in an unfamiliar zone and having to click on your map half a dozen times is extremely irritating, and stopping that is what the Suggestions are about, no?
  11. You mean the Most Common Superpower is actually a weakness in this case? I'm liking the lighting, also.
  12. Oh wow... a wiki... I heart wikis.

Thanks Pious, I'm going investigate and hang around some before jumping in, but that's helped very much indeed

Pity there are still 362 days to wait before we can do it again

Hope that was deliberate Capt_Starblayde... otherwise you're out of kilter with the rest of us. So If I asked you to join a sunday tf, you'd turn up on the monday, hehe...

Oh... now I know why I'm always having to solo

  14. It's been great for my Leopard iMac, though my Tiger one is not quite up to scratch enough to run it at any acceptable speed in any resolution higher than 1024x786.

One issue I have is with lock-ups every so often while Cmd-Tabbing between CoX and any other open program on the desktop, but that's probably my own fault for trying to multi-task like that.

    Otherwise, great!
  15. Thanks for the welcome and help, makes it feel like home, hehe.
  16. The problem with this is... it makes total sense. For one day each year, this is how we should all play.

Pity there are still 362 days to wait before we can do it again.
  17. Hello, Union folks.

Superheroes have, evidently, proven to be too much of a pull for me to get away from, so I'm back on Union after... lets call it 'a bit of a break' (at least two of my characters had 600+ days offline, for instance).

Here's my dilemma. I'm both an RPer and occasional Badger, by inclination, and previously I never really got into an SG (of which there were a few) where I felt that anyone gave a toss other than to stop other people from randomly inviting them to their SG. Basically it's the social/chat/OOC side of CoX that I've not quite grasped a hold of yet.

I hang around in Pocket D every so often, and there's usually a random teaming invite when I'm after leveling, but as for a base of players to hang out with, help out and fall back on? Nowt.

So, if you've got an SG needing some expansion or input and a dedicated/casual player is on your list, then have a think of me.

My current main is a level 33 NRG/NRG Blaster, by the name of Starblayde (The Extraordinary Audacious Starblayde (Celebrity), if you don't mind, thankyou very much ), so gimme a shout either in-game or on the boards.

Hope to hear from you all!
