Yeah, you have to open the story after you've changed them, make sure the change shows up in there, and then re-save it. If I hadn't read this in another thread earlier, I'd have gone insane by now.
True story. -

Some really great posts in this thread.

Definitely. Being something of a perfectionist (and being short on time), I'm still working on my first arc to make it "just perfect" and I'm finding good advice in this thread. -
One arc i have planned could quite legitimately be a "defeat all", but I'm changing it due to the hate. :/

OK, then, my next arc will be all about the ninja zombie pirate lesbian catgirls. From Mars.

Hmm, Broadsword/Ninjitsu with zombie costume pieces and ears/tail?
Stop making me want to waste my AE slots on something this temptingly goofy
[/ QUOTE ]
That's the sort of thing I'm wasting my first slot on, if I ever finish testing and refining it for all levels, dialogue, etc. Be on the look-out for "Too Many Bunnygirls!" -
Someone in another thread suggested by mentioning one of yours when you send a review on someone else's. This could be incredibly cheesy if done wrong, but it's still a thought. If nothing else, just make it a polite suggestion - the better your review (meaning thoughtfulness and helpfulness, not number of stars), the better I'd think your chances would be.

Wonder if the makers of Axis & Allies the boardgame bought the rights to the name from WWII?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm pretty sure "Axis&Allies" is a registered property, much like "hulk" is a real English term and yet also a registered character's name. -
Coolness!
I'm gonna roll my 37th level widow out of mothballs just for the chance to go play at the tailor. I know it'll be heretical of me to say this, but I didn't enjoy playing the AT much, it felt almost too easy. But hey! - tailor fun is always fun, no matter what the AT, right? -
Not to sound like a bucket of cold water, but wasn't there a game called Axis and Allies back in like the 80s? Using said name as a title for your arc might not be a good idea, copyright-wise, much like I can't make a THE INCREDIBLE HULK" toon.
I could be wrong, of course. Perhaps you might PM a dev. -
Looking over this, I'm beginning to really get a feel for the effort they've been putting into it - or at least I am perceiving that they really did put a lot of effort into this. Assuming I'm not wrong, this could be bigger than we thought it was going to be. i14 may not have much else in it (who's to say right now?), but this looks like it got done right the first time, or as nearly so as is possible.
Cool beans! -
Nice write-up!
How about doing one for villain players who on that rare occasion go go blueside? -

Q: What impact are you expecting the merit system to have on those of us who (for one reason or another) tend not to run TF/SF's?
A: The intention of the system was to also give players who dont tend to run Task Forces and Strike Forces the chance at earning the same high end rewards as players normally running Task Forces, however at a diminished rate. This gives player an opportunity to earn rewards they normally would not have had access to outside of the Black Market/Wentworths.

Unbelievable. This game has now officially become City Of TFs.
[/ QUOTE ]
The Pool C and D recipes weren't previously available to players who didn't do TFs and trials, except through consignment houses. Did that mean that the game was City of TFs before? Those recipes are now available to players who don't do TFs and trials.
The diminished rate now is better than the no rate I had previously.
People who didn't do TFs and trials before are probably going to be even less interested in doing them now. I know that's the case for me.

See area high-lighted.
They were available and I was able to afford just about anything I wanted, except perhaps the the top three. Rather than just offer us an alternate method to get recipes, it seems they've deliberately gutted the ease of getting them through the markets, leaving us with running several TFs only. This side road may be a faster shortcut, but they didn't have dismantle the rest of highway system to build it.
(I think the devs have monkeyed around with drop rates for ALL recipes, now it seems to be mostly generic IOs vs. set IOs, so this change might be another part of that; maybe they decided we had too much freedom to set-out a toon... if so, then this isn't just about merits as it is about their backtracking on the availability of IO sets - but that's another thread.) -

Huh. I almost thought about making a bid when I realized that since I don't farm and don't PvP that I'd have no interest in playing my 50 once I got him or her back. None at all.
I just realized something about myself due to this thread, cool. -
Only by adding a moonbase and a free pony for each toon could this have been more awesome an announcement.
Well, ok, I hype a bit, but this is really much, much more than I was expecting from the update. Cool! -
I kinow this has been said before and that it applies to blue- as well as red-side, but I would be happy if the next update had ZERO new content in it - just lots and lots of small QoL and bug fixing. Blow off the next round of power set porting if need be, just *please* clean up some of the pre-existing messes, many of which are mentioned in this thread already.
I'd even buy another "wedding pack"-like thing for this. -
FINALLY!! A good use for those gaint lag-inducing screens in Grandville!
Ya know, April 1st is just around the corner, they should pop that up on those from time to time. -
I laughed out loud too. I like the fact that you (apparently) made him a villain as well.
-
Oh, I know. Another toon I did a little hunting with (but no way for the badge!) got the jingle jet and snowball in about 20 tries. As for the friend suggestion... well... I don't really have any friends on right now as I tend to alt myself out of that as well as playing during the late hours. And the only SG I've ever joined is currently on hiatus. :P
Basically - I know it's not impossible to get around, but they sure didn't make it easy for my position. The hat probably wouldn't have fit anyway, heh. -
Has anyone bothered to record the ambient background and music sounds in the seasonal Pocket D area? I'd do it if my old system could handle running anything at the same time (and I had a program that could record excatly what's coming out of the speakers).
I dunno why, but everytime I hear that yodeling I get a big grin... -
I ended up getting my badge on my one badge-hunting toon, but no way am I gonna bother to do it with another. And I didn't get him the hat which was the one thing I wanted for him, heavy sigh.
It's all pretty much random I think - you pays your money and you takes yoru chances. -
Wanted to weigh in my gushing opinion of this event. Maybe after this I should change my name and go into hiding. :P
I love the mish map itself, it's look and atmosphere - it's so wonderfully winter-creepified that I've even resorted to using one of my stalkers to run around in stealth-mode to shoot skads of screen shots... I'm such a fanboy. :P Plus who can resist spending a little time ice skating everytime they go through it? Only a total Scrooge, that's who.
The mish itself is decently sized without being too small or dull (at least I feel so, and I've been through it like 75 times now for all my many, many alts). With more than one group to fight, it avoids the "oh look, more CoT around THIS corner too, what a surprise..." trap that larger missions usually fall into.
The Pocket D ski slope is a heck of a lot of fun since serves no purpose whatsoever (see the Scrooge mention above) and the yodeling makes me grin everytime because it reminds me of the Sven Hoek episode of Ren&Stimpy.
No doubt by the time Christmas is over I'll be sick to death of it - which is just as it should be - but in the meantime it's a nice break from the routine. I guess you could say I'm enjoying the box more than the present. =D
