@Pyro, D'oh thought you had some ethernet cable or I would have sent you some (I have a bunch of the stuff here) and while Win7 will take some time to get up to speed on it is truly an upgrade (the upgrade vista should have been but wasn't) over XP, until then some stuff now goes by different names and may be located in a different place but all your apps will still run normally and more importantly City of Heroes will play exactly the same as it always has.

in that I played since issue 2 but never ever came to the forums until I stumbled across the art section
late this year and now it's seems I'm on here daily (sometimes more often than I'm on the game
)
and that's saying a lot. This is a great forum with really cool people and I'm very glad to have found it.
Best Wishes for the coming year, may it be even better and brighter than this one!

Well I can try and show you what I see when I look at Caemgen horns in that trio piece
and maybe it will help clarify things or make it easier for future artists...
or maybe it will just make me look elitist and picky lol.
What I see as amiss in the piece is twofold. First the shape of the horns themselves and second the position
of Caemgen's head relevant to the position of the horns. If you picture the horns as one continuous bar going
through the skull then it appears they used the generic upside down "U" shape horns only the skull is slid much
too far to the left on the bar like this.
Morbid horns are much more complex than that, if you also picture them as being one continuous piece
going through the skull, the lower curvature of the horns (near the tips) is almost like a ellipse or ring shape
while the upper curvature is a bit like a wavy letter "M" that sits atop the ring, and so should look more like this.
Don't know if the "M sitting atop the ring" accurately conveys what I'm describing but hopefully the pics
help and maybe gives anyone one else struggling with the shape of these another way of looking at them.
Other than the few details mentioned (like Caemgen looking in the opposite direction from what you wanted) this
is a really solid piece that showcases your trio of mains nicely and should look awesome when/if you choose to get it colored.

No worries Foo if you look through all the Caemgen art no one else picked up on his nose not being human either lol.
For me, I dunno it just stands out like a neon sign, it's like his horns... but everyone and his kid brother
has horns nowadays so artists don't even bat an eye at it but a cats nose is pretty rare so it's kinda
funny to me that it always gets overlooked.
It's become something of a running joke for Caemgen and I.
Even on his most recent piece after Denby specifically asked if the nose should be more human or more beastly, and was told beastly, it still came out totally human.
Don't get me wrong I absolutely love that piece by Denby (and his Fenian too is a real showstopper), it's just odd to me, it's almost like their brain refuses to accept it even after they know.
Plus I think Caemgen is a little too accommodating with artists... so I grumble on his behalf.

Remeber they are shipping record amounts of stuff this year and things can come at odd hours.
I had a box of parts I was expecting at noon show up at 7:45pm long after I assumed it wasn't coming.
Granted it was UPS and I'm not sure of the delivery times for the USPS but I still hope you receive it today.
Besides if you don't I probably owe your mom five bucks or something... {>. >}
she had emailed me some computer questions and I mentioned in the reply that I was shipping your pc out
and she said you wouldn't receive it before Christmas... and I was like yeah-hunh and she was all like nuh-unh
and so I busted out the Kung-Fu and... and...
ok it didn't go down quite like that... but still I'm hoping you get your custom pc and stuffz.
Come on USPS go FTW!

The other I made way too small and that also meant no detail but it was intended to be Nekko... For some reason I always think of her as tiny, imp sized... But I'm guessing she probably should have been more Amerikatt sized...
Speaking off, I find the idea of a clash between Feral Kitty and Amerikatt highly entertaining... I think the visual could be way cool but I can also hear Ameri chastising Feral for giving cats a bad name and Feral responding quite colorfully in return... It could be a great mini-series! Sapphic yeah she was probably just too small to make out... she's petite in my mind as well just not that petite.

Nope better than that. Something anyone on this forum would really appreciate regardless of if they even know what Firefly is.
Although I think that it's pretty awesome (the firefly music) on my rig I don't presume to makeover other peoples machines to apeal to my tastes.
I either add touches that are unique to recipients taste or leave the defaults for them to set up as they wish. In short no windows sounds were changed (harmed?) in the making of this machine.
Having just said the above, I did pick you out a desktop pic... it's not the 39 sec surprise I am referring to above but another "separate" surprise I think you will love too.
Didn't think setting a desktop pic for you was going to far as
1. it takes two seconds to change your desktop image to something else
2. I have a feeling you would want to see this.
3. I think it is very suited to your taste... and it's totally unique (meaning since it was custom done by me I know no one else's computer has anything like it).
4. The desktop is just a pic of the, lets call it "the item" and if/when you change the pic "the item" will still remain. The pic is just to showcase it.
Where was I going with this... oh yeah it's not firefly music but it's a surprise that comes right after the other surprise which comes after the initial surprise when you first take it out of the box which is before the... ummm you'll see/hear/experience what I mean soon enough. lol
Yeah can't say too much more as I am getting way ahead of myself (and you for that matter lol) in the "surprises" department already but glad to see I cleared that confusion right up... Ahem.

Hey BW I totally got wrapped in a PC I'm trying to get done before Christmas and missed the Livestream where you used my Chloe as your example but upon trying to go back and play the "on demand" if froze up and I was not able to watch more than a few minutes of it... I can (and have) play back Eddy's just fine, have you noticed a problem with your stream or does it play back fine when you try it.
Anyone else play it back... I'm wondering if it's something wrong on my end or a problem with the stream?
P.S. that demoness is really slick.

Hmmm I recently had some stuff I did in Photoshop Elements sent off to be professionally printed and the "blues" came back as "purples" wonder if this is what goofed it up.
Oddly the test stuff I printed at home came out fine.

I too am a fair hand at crafting backstories (my father is a college professor of English so creative writing was a big thing growing up) but I always felt more challenged and "drawn to" visual art or musical expression and will draw or jam when given the choice over writing. Plus I think I ran into the character limit (the bane of my CoH existance) and had to whittle down my bio (after getting it just so) one time too many.

Wow some great new additions Caemgen.
Those inks by Tim Kelly have a cool exaggerated (almost caricature) grungy look to them and some of the details make me chuckle, like Alpha's jets puffing out little cute clouds, hah love it. I've drawn stuff similar to that in the past just for fun but didn't think anything about making it it's own style, it looks like TK has done just that and with great success.
The trio by studio has a real cool comic art look to it and the poses are well executed and bonus it looks like Caemgens nose isn't human though it's too small to be sure (there is something not quite right with one of Caemgen's horns though). I am curious though that Daybreaker Alpha and Caemgen appear to have the same power FX on them... thought they were different sets or perhaps this is one of those artists you mentioned that is not familiar with CoH?
The real standout to me in this recent batch is Denby's Fenian (thought his alpha kicks a$$ too). The bolero is well done (almost hints at dragon wings) but her face is what really grabs my attention, exceptional work.
I put him on my watch now as well. Cool find.
P.S. Not to get ahead of the thread here but I went ahead and checked out his DA and he has another piece done of yours already of Caemgen and it totally made me LoL that the way he puts his row of "done" thumbnails right next to the recipients pic makes it look like my pencil sketch and his colored piece are staring each other down hahaha.

@Pyro, Confucius say if desk is too small for dual (or triple) monitor goodness then get a bigger desk... ok that's not a direct quote but you get the idea.
