Quote:Issue 1 was really interesting.Honestly, I don't get it. It's not like "The Man Without Fear" title means anything. You don't get the Eye of Agamotto or the keys to the Batcave.
Hell, you probably don't even get a certificate suitable for framing.
I was thinking of looking into Shadowland because some of the peeks I've seen looked interesting. Not so sure now.
Issue 2 was mediocre.
The tie-ins are pointless.
And that's as far into it as I am. I'm still reading comics from August 4th at the moment. -
Quote:Marvel released a few teaser images a while back. He was one of them.Reading through that comment thread: is there really a demand for Falcon: Man Without Fear?
Falcon?
I can't recall the others... Panther was one. I remember thinking they should have included Moon Knight, but I don't think they did...
Let me try to find it...
Not the most inspired choices to begin with. NONE of them would have worked EXCEPT Black Panther, which barely works. Moon Knight would have been a great option. -
Alright, I best abstain then.
Whoever takes _______________ in my stead, wins! -
I finished that issue yesterday. It didn't get any better by the end of that one. Geeeezus.
This bothers me too much. As a kid reading comics, I always wanted a wife just like MJ... Then when it came to be marryin' time, Joe Q. broke them up during me and my fiancee's engagement. We had talked about trying to find Spider-Man/MJ cake toppers to that point! -
Quote:ALL OF THEM!I'm sure it's just a matter of time before they restart the series...
...with Deadpool thrown in. Seriously, how many friggin' titles does Deathstroke-lite need to be in anyway?
Alright, even I'm tired of all of the Deadpool books. But one team book (NOT a team of three other Deadpools) couldn't hurt. In the grand scheme, he would fit better with the T-Bolts than in one of the X-Books right now. The X-ers are just too serious for DP. -
Quote:Gee golly, thanks mister!
Now it's tiny. I'm going to develop a complex. -
I have one week left on my account before I let it sit idle for a few weeks. How quickly does the draft process run these days?
-
DAMMIT.
So, I'm just now getting around to reading the second issue of OMIT...
So, that's how Joey Q. validates his ridiculousness? By retroactively making MJ a huge *****? He's the one writing this **** - MJ would have never suddenly decided "Oh, nm, I don't want to be Spider-Man's wife. lol"
****** is trying to validate his own viewpoint.
... I didn't finish reading... I saw that and had to nerdrage. It may be a while before I can bring myself to finish it. -
Quote:I like all of those things.Good.
Now, can we re-power Juggernaut, get the symbiote off of Gargan, and put Songbird back the way she was?
Juggernaut needed some humility.
Mac Gargan is more interesting with the symbiote than he was with a prehensile tail.
"The way she was?" Meaning as Screaming Mimi/a villain? I like her as a hero. -
Quote:Someone had PM'd me earlier in the day asking to change. I don't understand it, but they were nice enough.
[...]
It was indeed awesome. Two people complained it was distracting and annoying. I'll never understand the presumption of others that they can dictate what is presented in a public forum, barring that it meets accepted forum technical parameters. Regardless, I was asked nicely enough, and the "animated signature wars" is not the rock I want to die on.
But I do need something better. Maybe one of you guys can help me. GIANT IMAGE ALERT.
I need that shrunk down to signature size. I only have MS Paint available to me at work, and opening it in that causes it to lose the transparent background and replacing it with an ugly white thing. Can anyone help? There is a Yeti-sized hole in my heart/signature at the moment.
Edit: NEVER MIND!Quote:Hmm. Test?
Edit: I guess the board software auto-resizes it.
Still slightly too big, but I can handle if everyone else can (which is the real worry, apparently.)
This time to a Mod. It's *slightly* too big.
"Signature Images are allowed, however they must be limited to 600x120 pixels AND less than 150kb "
So, I ask once more, while again at work - Can anyone hook me up with a resizing? -
Bummer. The book has been kind of average since Warren Ellis left, but I was interested to see where the new team went. Heroic Age indeed...
-
More explanation required.
I assume you draft arcs/miniseries... But that would be so dang subjective. -
Oh, I meant to ask. is this server-specific or across all servers? I saw that there was a thread on each server so I assumed each had their own organizer, but with cross-server transferring, I suppose that isn't the most helpful assumption.
Edit: Damn, my first attempt is over 1,500 words and I haven't yet reached the turn. -
Quote:Glad you got out and liked it.By the way, I finally made a trek to somewhere where Scott Pilgrim was still playing, and I must say that it was worth it. Its cast is excellent all around, and even if you don't like Michael Cera - I thought he gave a much better performance as Scott Pilgrim than the trailers suggested - you do get to see him punched a lot. The slacker atmosphere is well done (unsurprisingly, coming from the director of Spaced). The fight scenes are superb, and those who choose only to rent it won't see their full impact on the small screen. The movie's only real drawback is that as a compression of a six-issue graphic novel series, it often feels like has to skim the source material, whether or not you're familiar with it.
In short, the geeks who have stayed inexplicably away don't know what they're missing. I'd definitely like to see it again ... if it were playing in an accessible location.
The DVD/Blu-Ray has a date already - November 9th. -
Trying to decide who to bring... It looks like scrappers, tankers and an empath/h34lz0r is covered. Hrmm.

Crap! I forgot the dancing Spider-Man!

Quote:I think/hope you mean "craw."Fine lets roll back and compare 2nd weekend/week box office between SP and Vampires Suck before either lost their first batch of theaters.
Scott Pilgrim - $1845/$2825 - 2820 theaters - dropped from 1255 theaters for week 3
Vampire Sucks - $1615/$2068 - 3233 theaters - dropped only 799 theaters for week 3
So at the end of it's 2nd week, Scott Pilgrim loss 44% of it's theaters compared to only 25% for Vampires Suck yet earned 36% more money during the preceding week. That's what sticks in my claw. -
Quote:I think that's great to hear - You don't normally see that kind of support from the studio.Meanwhile, it's hard to say whether Universal is setting up expectations for a cult DVD hit or organizing a retreat under fire.

Have there been any updates to Mental Manipulation since this guide was published? I'm mostly wondering if Scare or World of Confusion have been improved.
I'm debating between a Sonic or Fire/Mental. I like the Siren's Song + Drain Psyche combo, but I think I hate the Sonic sounds. Fire appeals to me because I think Mental may offer the most status effects in its secondary, which the Fire primary could use the support of. -
That hat is dumb! DUMB!
Emma Frost would never wear that hat.
Just ridiculous shoulder pads.
... Which kind of look like two of those hats. -
Quote:Well damn. What is that, Russia? I think I've seen the hat in Russian imagery...Yeah 'cause that would be silly wouldn't it.
And what war tore up Europe in the 60s?
And this takes place in the 60s? I was just going off of the image with the soldier and barricade.
Edit: And if this was the 60s, didn't that hat happen much earlier?
