  1. Hello all!

    Awhile back a few of us from The Ultimate Inferno SG decided to start a defender superteam; however, it kind of fizzled out because, well.... not really sure. But now we have decided to start up again.

    1. BACKGROUND INFOfirst to the link that describes a superteam:

    We are going to create a tank mage group from that list which is explained their quite well--with some possible twiks considering i7 changes.
    We currently have a core-group of approx. 4 for the ideal superteam and looking for at least 4 dedicated people that can fill out the 8 man team. However, we are not necessarily trying to get ONLY 8 people that can team fast together, but a SG to give a larger pool to draw from.

    The official Battlemage teaming will take place on sunday evenings. The first taking place sept. 3 at 7pm BST.

    Rules of membership:
    1. Be a defender
    2. Magic Origin
    3. 'Battlemage' must be in your name. f.ex.: Battlemage Elea or Random Battlemage
    4. Costume on a design decided by members
    5. Membership in The Paragon Covenant of Battlemages SG
    6. Power Sets -- before starting a Battlemage, especially in the initial start-up period, it will be necessary to coordinate which power sets members have to ensure the most effective superteam.

    The last two points are not so much rules then a clear understanding while playing with The Battlemages:
    --Leveling: So everyone stays as close as possible to the same levels to ensure workable teams, playing with ones mage alot outside of SG teams to lvl would be of course allowed but discouraged. Cases where new members want to 'catch-up' to the other members would of course be encouraged.
    *Being exemp'd / sk'd to ensure a balanced team might be necessary.

    --Teaming: Besides the weekly mage teaming, if members play at othertimes, they would be encourageed to team with other mages as much as possible even when being exemp'd/sk'd are necessary.

  4. The Ultimate Inferno SG -- Task Force on Friday (TFoF)


    On friday the 18th at 7pm BST we will try to get enough peeps together in helping Citadel battle the Council.

    Citadel (Talos Island) TF (min. lvl = 25 / autoexemp to max.lvl = 30
    We have in the past been able to get enough for 2 teams doing the TF at the same time so don't be discouraged if more then 8 sign up.

  6. Nice to see some response, I have also posted it on the Defiant Events channel motd, but have only seen 1 person sign up so far as of this morning. Hopefully, we can get a good number of people on then start scheduling certain times/days for salvage trade.
    Also, seen another post where someone had salvage to trade but he processed it all into components for easy/fair trading across the board. This would be a good idea to make trading fast and simple--1 arcane prototype for 1 tech prototype, etc, etc...

    Busy fighting then heard that someone leveled and started wondering, "Who the hell now has level'd since we already had 2 or 3 level during our teaming." I started to write in team chat to ask, then ..... "Wow! It was me"

  9. I posted this info on Defiant -> Events; however, might be a good idea to post it here also since most that are interested in bases/salvage might be more likely to see it.

    I started a new channel with focus on Salvage Trading and base information. I saw (and joined for a while) that there is a similar channel with the same focus but mostly for Union and thought it might be a good idea to have one for Defiant especially for getting rid of all that unused salvage-might as well help out others instead of just deleting it.
    Would like to limit it so much as possible to SG leaders and/or those that have base building permissions, but all are of course welcome to join (as long as you dont use it to find teams and such).

    Its called:

    Ok, ok....maybe its not a limited time offer (depends on quality and number of new members), but we have 12 open spots available at the moment.

    Operational base with hospital, teleporters, workbenches, and plenty of storage. NOT raid-ready atm--insuring power/control and daily functions are maximized first (which they pretty much are now [img]/uk/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]). So, now the slow process of upgrading and building a well defendable base.

  14. thnks... feel a little better that I'm not the only one experiencing such things. Still worries me though.... thank god though that the next upgrades are gonna take ALOT of prestige so hopefully things will be working better by the time we reach that point.
  15. I really need to go back and look at exactly how rent is determined atm; however, as most agree there is a problem. I saw some math done by someone on another thread somewhere and my jaw dropped when I saw the time needed for a SG to afford the larger plots, not to mention the rent.
    Gonna have to set some time aside to do some research, but I guess the only thing we can do is wait for the changes they're gonna make in the rent system and hope the system is a little more realistic then the current one.

    I found a 'Salvage Traders' channel--and joined--however, it seems to be mainly for Union players and doesnt seem very active.
    SO....
    Today I am starting a Defiant version to be called:
    Defiant Salvage Traders

    This channel will be focused towards:
    1. (as the name implies) getting rid of that salvage your SG has been hanging on to for some that you need.
    2. Base questions, ideas, problems, whatever to do with bases.

    Would like to try to limit members to SG leaders and/or those that have anything to do with base building/editing in your SGs; however, all are welcome to join since some SGs are not that active internally as others--just remember, this will not be a channel used to find teams and events goin on.

    Any comments, suggestions, words of praise, complaints, rude remarks, or down right dirty chatting can be sent to:

    **Note: To start things off, The Ultimate Inferno has alot of Arcane salvage that they wish to trade for Tech salvage.

    On friday the 18th at 7pm BST we will try to get enough peeps together in helpin Positron put a dent in crime in Paragon City.

    Getting enough players for Positron (Steel Canyon) TF (min. lvl = 10 / autoexemp to max.lvl = 15), shouldnt be a problem since minimum team required is 3 members and smaller team is actually better (as I've been told--long time since I've done this TF). So there should be no problem with having more teams participating at once if many sign up--shooting for teams of 5/max.6; however, this is totally up to consensus of those that show up.

  19. Ya, had good team-work going throughout TF; eventhough, players feelings/spirits were tested at times, we came over them and pressed on to a successful conclusion [img]/uk/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
    To the player that quit to do a different TF, sorry I just kicked you without the curteousy of giving you a tell explaining our reasons/feelings. That would have been the least I could of done; however, it is true that it is bad style to sign up for a TF then quit to do another one you feel is more important. If you've been waiting soooo long as you said to do a specific SF, why not consider organizing it yourself?
    I would also always be happy to post any events/TFs/whatever on those channels I can, to include my SG motd and forums to give organizers the best oppurtunities in obtaining the players needed.

    Been awhile since we last teamed but have seen you around once in awhile.
    Hopefully, Paragon will see one of its' lost heroes return again in the future.
  21. I looked around here over the posts covering the last couple months but could not find anything that sounded similar to the problem I've been having the last couple days.
    I posted it in bugs/tech issues but no replies, so....
    When I'm in Base Edit Mode I can easily move and add things; however, when I exited Edit Mode alot of things would be gone
    Efter a few tries and moving around I found out the things were there but invisible so I wasnt too worried about loosing everything. However, suddenly I couldnt find the .... damn, whats it called... the new item you can place in workshop where you can build personal temp power type boosts and such. It wasnt invisible but just gone
    Efter selling everything except personal items I exited base, logged and re-booted my computer then started base from scratch. Everything was fine, but then today I did some minor editing, and again--in edit mode things would be fine, but as soon as i exited edit mode things would go invisible.
    Luckily I havent lost any more items, but I am now terrified to do any editing to base. Is this a know problem? Or something new? Should I be scared of loosing more items?

    So can always have 2 teams, then they can meet to help each other with Babbage ambush if necessary.

  24. Ok. Generator most probably bugged. Hopefully, issue will be fixed by the time we NEED it.

    1. As far as I understand the Fusion Generator plans are opened for 50 hours in PvP zones in SG/VG mode. Is this correct? Heard also this has been bugged. Is it still bugged?

    2. How are the plans for the Advanced Holodisplay opened? I did not think that they had to be opened through SG badge; however, I can not find it anywhere on our workbenches [img]/uk/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]
