congrats cynic! missed this one as i wasn't able to get on over the weekend. we haven't had a lvl50 blaster in the sg in a long time.

We're starting up a weekend hero team come i11. However more of a play only weekends character would be prefered as we'll try to lvl only when the majority of us are there. A scrapper would be a welcome addition to the team as I'm wanting to create a controller for it.

Exactly! Only a fool would decide to herd excessive amounts of those mobs and try to survive...me being one of them(!)...that's what makes it fun and it'll show you how skilled your tank is if he/she/it make it out of that herd alive!

[edit] I can imagine the buzz out of that already! Tearing into a LARGE mob of Arachnos, then coming out with health deep in red, but still on your feet! It's been a long time since I've felt then in game...lost when they decided to put a herd cap on it.

I agree.

Tanking the number of mobs we can get now is just too easy.

My Inv/SS tanker is capable of herding and handling the number of mobs as seen on the video. But why stop us if we want to herd double that and put ourselves in danger of a faceplanting?

I know herding caps were placed to help negate the number of farming and PL'ing done in game. But there's many other ways to farm and PL now.

Do away with herding caps and bring the fun back into real tanking!

Ahahahhahahahaha.Because your ice tanker can break the aggro cap?You can bring as many as thundorn can in the video and thats it.For some real herding you should be around during i3 with herding dreck map one island at a time or eden trial (oh the memories) whole titan room in one go, which of course your ice tank wouldnt handle.

I'm going to need you help on this.

When you get the time, would you be able to send me a power action pose of your main? I'd like to use individual pictures of your heroes as banners for the site.

For example Blizzaria performing Blizzard or MaXimillion giving AB or Chelsea Rorec calling out her Sings...

Couple things I ask though...
- Must be a high quality screen capture
- Needs to be as close up as possible (too far would mean if I zoom in it'll go grainy and pixelated).
- Have as much of the screenie show off the full body pose, rather than the power animation (as it'll probably hide some of the detail on you toon...i'll render in the powers later).

Also if I could get an idle pose of your main, that'd be great.

It's very VERY basic and not really extensive info on it...but I got sick of faffing about and decided to get it up and running.

Will continue to add to it when I get some free time.

You can't really judge the "emptiness" of a server on one map.

For me, Defiant isn't empty that's for sure. I was there for the most of last week and found a lot of old friends knocking about. I also had the pleasure of making the acquiantance of several new players to CoH...but that's because they said hullo first.

In fact when I pop over to Union, I find that "empty". But I put that down to not knowing many people there. I can only imagine people there are doing stuff with people they already know and with their SGs, like I do in Defiant. The only times someone spoke to me was to ask if I was looking for an SG.

The servers have been open for a long time now and a lot of people have established themselves on their respective servers. You have to open those social doors and do the leg work first, get yourself into an SG if possible. Then perhaps you won't find it such a lonely place after all.

Oh...and since this is the first time I've seen you post here, welcome to Defiant.

I know it's on the "What's on" sticky courtesy of Bridger, but what if you're a first time player when you see "What's On"...you think new event or something.

I know it cleans the section up of multpile sticky's...but surely people know that you can update your options to more than just 10 posts per page?!

Could we either sitcky post this thread again or change the title of Bridger's thread from "What's On..."to something less ambiguous...like "Defiant Index"?
