Quote:Yeah, it happens when you click on a "non editable" interface (such as the market) and type things, and then go back to the chat window. Something about saving to the clipboard or whatever. One curious thing though...
*puts on conspiracay helmet*
...has anyone noticed that the text that pops up isn't so "random", it actually is a recording of the last couple of keystrokes performed in succession. Do you think what we actually have is not a "bug" but a way to record our actions that accidentally displays when it shouldn't?

Quote:That's cool. Please don't take my "humor" as serious condescension. That's what I'm doing right now and it's not exactly a preferable option. I'm not suggesting that signature images should be disabled all together, as I'm all for people being able to express their creativity in their signatures if they so choose.
But by the same token, those who do not want to scroll past endless signature images should also be able to block them if they so choose. I'm voicing my feedback that an additional option would be most welcome for those who want to see images in a post's body and text-only signatures, but want to block out just signature images. -
Quote:You can scroll past signatures with your mouse.Niv, is there going to be any way to disable *just* the images in the signature sometime in the future? I don't mind seeing posters' text signatures and I don't mind seeing images in the body of a post...but signature images are a little too much for my taste (most especially when someone only types a line of text in the body of the post and the rest of the post is taken up by a huge signature image that I've seen a million times).

According to the patch notes for today.
User Interface
* The issue involving random characters appearing in the chat line has been fixed. For example, players should now no longer see “asdawasdsawdsLevel 10 Scrapper LFT”
[edit]also:
Global Chat Channels will no longer change colors randomly upon zoning. -
Quote:I like your forum name! :bows:Hey all, I've been away from CoH for some time now and I'd like to call this game home again. Although If CoH is going to hold my attention, I need to find an active group that's consistently knocking out TFs, Trials, and Monsters, this AE stuff just ins't going to cut it.
Currently, I have a lvl 50 claws/regen scrapper and am working on my tri spec PB. (I would be willing to make any toon necessary to secure a spot in a good group)
I'm usually available to play from 5pm-9 or 10pm mon-thurs and 5am-? fri-sun. If any groups are interested just send me a pm on the forums. Thanks.
edit: I'm looking for challenging content -

I am at a loss for how that explanation will make fans of a whips set "very happy".
-
I don't know if everyone has heard this or not. One of the questions asked of Positron during the City of Heroes panel at SDCC was if we were about to see new weapon sets such as the bo staff or whips.
The answer was that if you are a fan of a whips power set, you will be very happy with the powers that Desdemona brings to the table. I don't know if that means they will be tied to the demon summoning primary like dual pistols were to thugs. Then again, dual pistols are now scheduled to be a blaster primary, so whips may be multi use. I hope they re do the Archvillain Dominatrix, in any case. -
I'm pretty sure that the people that care enough to post on the Victory forum want to use the weekend to level the characters they already have. On Victory. You don't make any sense to me.

Quote:No one has the right to never be offended.Counterargument would be that you can theoretically just do a word search for uncensored words that routinely come up in an offensive context, such as schoolyard level insults. Unless everyone posting a potentially offensive (and I myself really don't worry about offensive per se, I'm rather dulled thanks to the internet) picture names it 'offensive_picture_of_genitalia.jpg' or so.
A picture requires you to wait until a player reports it unless you stumble across it in the pursuit of your regular reading.
Another issue might be that, as they say, you can't unsee things. Descriptions of offensive things unfold and you have the option of not continuing to read unless you're as curious as I am. But stumbling across tubgirl is just that and it's done. Which some can shrug off, while others might have a less robust stomach. -
Quote:That was a joke, right?Truthfully? I tend to know better than most people. Not all of the time, not on more specific topics such as, say, quantum physics, mind you. But the bottom line is that empirically I'm right more often than I'm wrong.
Which pretty much marks the odds in my favour.
I can tell we're going to get along just great...lol -
I like how you talk about freedom of expression as if it were a bad thing, and then continue telling people what to do. Perhaps you just want freedom for yourself?

Hi, evlybody!

They didn't give much more information about GR othere than that and it will be bigger and better.

AND that it basically gives you a new option for brand new characters, where you can start from Praetoria, and that one of the goals they have is the end game content to make better 50's. -

Funny, that's what I heard about your "Ms. Marvel" there. -

It's interesting that there doesn't seem to be much support for my idea of large teams running 2x + 2x content (Ouroboros or otherwise exemped for the double influence bonus prior to the Double XP Weekend bonus). Am I totally off-base on that tack? I know for a fact that influence/infamy is doubled (duh, but in case anyone wasn't clear), and I'm also reasonably certain that it modifies any other modifiers, such as the Ouroboros 2xinf bonus...or am I smoking wacko weed?
[/ QUOTE ]
You will indeed get quadruple influence.
I learned a while ago that most people prefer the gains to be had from leveling a lot of characters quickly, rather than what seems to be a minor achievement in the Leader badge. -
Love your Avatar, by the way. I think I need a new one, myself.

Unlockable contact redside, Television.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sorry I wasn't totally clear on my comment, DC -- I know what a red-side reference to TV is, but since I was referring to blue-side, Sadys' reference to TV confused me. I think he's referring to the Television contact specifically because his brain resides full-time on the red-side.
[/ QUOTE ]
Um. Well, yes, that's true. :P
Anyway, get a level 46 to malefactor the character you want to accumulate the vast amount of wealth on. Use a tricked out Fire/psi dom (On HERO SIDE I guess this would be a pimped out Warshade.) to do all the killing. Set up a flashback for 6. Flashback to that huge TV invasion map and start killing. Reset the mission before you complete all the objectives. Repeat. -

Villain Pentad Badge is fixed for villains on test.
[/ QUOTE ]
I guess my non badge collecting villain characters will have the patience to wait for it, then. :P -

517 on my villain, but he's always going to be like 15 badges down. No 600 for him...yet.

I'm a villain with 593, nothing left but Vets and dayjobs.
