Hmm, could have sworn I had posted in this thread already...
Oh well, Happy Couple Days After You're Birthday!!! -
Quote:I did say THINK...Oh No not only did caem figure out how to level shift but he beat me to the punch...most distressing.
What I slotted says it level shifts but I don't see any changes that say 50+1 like you can on other people... So still possibly I'm clueless and just clueless to the fact...
And it's only FenWolf. Still can't get FenFen past Trapdoor to even start incarnating her. -
Quote:PlayWorkArt is having another battle special... This time he's got entrants lined up to battle one person from the other side - The general public gets to vote on who fights who.
First up is Caemgen! If you want to have input on who Caemgen battles go to the poll --> here <--
The artist himself is deciding who wins and loses (I believe?) based on his own whims but it'll be cool to see what the public thinks is a good matchup for Caemgen and, later, Daybreaker Alpha...
Poll is up for about 24 hours from when he put it up so vote fast if you care to vote!
Ok, finally Daybreaker Alpha has an opponent... Dark Phoenix.http://playworkart.deviantart.com/journal/poll/1800480/
Somehow I just don't see him winning this poll.... -
Very cool piece
I also liked where the two scrapped ones were going as well...
To nitpick, Alpha's optic aparatus is on the wrong side but I can get over that
As for coloring, yeah, he's started shifting those responsibilities to his brother. I'm not a huge fan of that (not that his brother isn't good, just the fact it got switched after the fact) - His brother is the one who did the colors for the Fenian Lady Arete piece... -
I think I'm level shifted....
-
Love the Tim Kelly piece, quite different from what I would have expected from him but very, very cool...
And as has been said, the colors on the Wolvtrune are very striking! -
-
Don't have any from back when I had a mohawk (egads, been like 2+ decades!!) and this one isn't all that recent, but it's the one I happen tohave already on photobucket...
-
Still don't know how to "shify" me levels... I guess I should read paraWiki tommorow...
-
-
I'm at work or i'd be in my bunk
And CR - you like Lady's hair color so much because she could play Fenian with it??
As for the facebook image, I suspect you cannot link right to it. Facebook doesn't seem like a hosting site - they want you logged in for anything... -
And I'm not trying to slam her... She does amazing work, has done scad-loads of freebies and that's all to be respected.

egads, who knew we had so many hotties???
If only I wasn't so darn old -
Obviously that is the first route one should take, and that I did take. First notes went unanswered. Then eventually they were answered and she noted that yes, some people do find a one year wait a bit excessive...
Then two months ago, in this thread, she mentioned them herself... And thankfully she did complete the one of the four that was a prize for someone in one of my very first contests (the first?) so yeah, I went through the channels.
Frankly the fact that I said something publicly is me just giving up on my efforts and facing the fact that I was ripped off. My opinion is that going public is not a way into an artists good graces and frankly after that I pretty much assume any art the artist does do to fulfil the contract will not be their best work... So at this point, whatever, I'm just hoping to let others know they may have an insanely long wait... if not an eternal one.
And all in all, the "she's busy lately" doesn't hold water after a year plus. I am willing to be patient. I'm willing to be insanely patient. But that willingness is mainly contingent upon the artist being responsive to notes the first time, on them not taking more business and completing that when other stuff is long, long due... I have a couple others I have been wiating for almost as long, but the artists reply to each note, they also take it upon themselves to note me before I even get around to noting them... They don't keep taking on more work while leaving me hanging.
Ah well. I've been ripped off. It's not the only time. Only reason I am saying anything is because others have expressed interest in hiring her and as I consider the people on the forum as friends (or at least friendly) I feel it's my responsibility to clue them in as to how that hiring may turn out.
So yeas, by all means feel free to commission Cashoo when she opens again if you want... When she does deliver the results are spectacular. Just be aware the wait may be years or forever. Obviously the mileage varies greatly as some of commissioned her lately and gotten great stuff in a timely matter. -
very very much awesomesauce going on here...
-
Fabulous arts! Can't wait to see what else you have being worked on!

Don't sweat it Techbot, I paid for my slots 1+ years ago and am still waiting for 3 of the 4... So she must be really, really busy.
