By the by, seems he worked on a few things and made a few adjustments. I haven't compared and contrasted yet though so I am not sure what...

Well I've always been a big picture guy more than a details guy so *shrug* I love it
As far as nitpicks, I wouldn't be shocked if there are some to be made but in fairness to the artist he may have felt pressured a bit to finish it... The piece had been hanging for a long time and then when I finally asked for an update it was done like a day or two later... I suspect he may have thought I was more impatient than I was when I really just wanted to make sure the piece hadn't been forgotten. -
Quote:To even try something like that you'd need to make sure there was contact between the two parties before the work was started... Funds do run dry and people forget to take their names off lists...Wonder if there would be a way to combine the two... I've often thought it would be cool if there was some kind of standing list of people wanting art who in turn had a list of artists they would be willing to buy from and a standard fee and if the artist felt inspired they could draw a piece and collect the fee afterward but if they didn't want to then there'd be no contract or pressure to do so.
Not sure it that would work brilliantly or backfire colossally.
Personally I think the main thing that would keep me from joining such a venture on the buyer side would be having to list the artists I would be interested in art from... Leaving someone off would just feel too much like saying "Nope, don't like your art" or "You're not worth the price." -
Quote:Personally, that's all I ever ask - Communication. I am loathe to try to rush artists and it's not like anything I ever got had a reason to have a deadline, so I don't mind wiating at all... As long as there is communication. A note or email every couple of months... Or at least a reply when I do ask for a status or update.I did wait for this one for awhile but he seemed to have a little trouble really getting something going that he liked for the character. He always communicated with me promptly when I checked in with him and I can't fault the end result. I'd recommend him to fellow art collectors based on my experience because I think he will definitely complete the work. It just might take a little while.
Anyway - awesome art. I have always loved the JP character! -
I give everything in this thread a thumbs up!
(well, except the July departure date...) -
Woohoo, 3 months of LJ goodness! Next we'll wrangle you in to the Friday task force!!
-
lol, you're like the bizzaro me! Instead of gobbling up all the arts, you're jsut giving them all away!!
(you're way is cooler though!)
Just remember when you do the Lady Dice arts that she has a tattoo of a pair of dice on each ankle... On the right ankle they show a lucky 7, on the left Sanke-eyes!
(not really, I just totally made that up. ignore me.)

The dude has a face but no head - Of course he is awesome!!

Just a friendly reminder: 10 days left

By Dingodile24 - This is part of a series of pics VexXxa and I are getting done of the In The Mood regulars. We wanted to get one for everyone but had to narrow it down to the 4 most regular participants - Or probably 3 most regular and me, who is highly irregular in almost every way
Bubbawheat's is also done, he can show it off if he wishes.. Still waiting on VexXa's and JohnnyKat's... And the group pic.
By JackCrowder - He's a little off beat but his gallery is worth checking out. I won this piece by basically being the first one to respond to one of his journals

I definitely want to play for Neko's team!!
As for stamps... Honestly, I cannot recall the last time I used one. I am guessing it's been two years or more. I don't know if they've perfected self adhesion technology for them yet, but I have mastered the ability to pay online. -
Stamps... Cause people mail stuff and stuff.

*misses Veronica Mars*
I say more people need to be against Free Art so that more flows my way!! -
Muse - Don't stick it out unless you're going to use it!
Bobby - Hmmm, now I am intrigued! (Does quick search) You talking about the half and half piece??
I'm having model sheets done of the Fen's, they're not all cleane dup and polished yet so not up on DA but if you'd like to see them just let me know where to send them -
Muse - To participating in the forums is what I meant... Cause until you're doing that, you don't really count!
Bobby - Of course you didn't offend! I just explained so much because I didn't want you to feel I excluded you for some reason! The Caem geadshot you did is still one of my favorites!
And of course you can feel free to use the Fenians... Anyone can feel free to use any of my characters.
