  1. Ooops, missed this session, hope it went well, shall we set another one?
  2. Can I suggest something?

    Last night we were rolling with 3 /cold corruptors, so I assume the bias is likely to continue...

    Please get both shields at the earliest opportunity (ie, next even level) so that we can really start to stack the defense. Between the 3 shields stacked (ok, except for us selfless /colds who only get 2) and arctic fog, we will be SR scrappers. Nuff to say, this will render our choice of leadership pool first tier totally null, so we can concentrate on the damage buffage.

    As long as we muster a core of corruptors in the right level range, we can malef / lackey as appropriate.

    On another topic - am loving the slows from ice/cold, but boy does Dr Antarctica love the endurance, think I spent the whole session begging for blues (sorry).

    We started at two, was pretty good fun, rolling other corruptors in and out of the team as they were available.

    If there are problems with play nights etc, we could set 2 times a week, on the understanding that those which play more and outlevel are happy to Lackey.

    - Suggest Rad/Rad, Fire/Rad, Rad/Fire, Energy/Rad, Elec / Rad, but whatever as long as it can be shoehorned into the theme - really wish /poison was available.

    I'm kicking around the idea of a nuclear themed rad/rad - rad/fire or fire/rad supergroup, perhaps called "The Manhattan Project" (or not), which I think would be good fun in a green clouds of death kind of way. Obviously don't want to hijack this thread for this end, but if anyone is interested...
  12. Most of my knowledge comes from playing my Nec/Dark, but I have a Dark Def in mid 30s atm.

    With the MM, I have slotted fluffy (fluffy does more base -tohit than MM anyway) with -tohit and darkest night with -tohit too, but do not slot Fearsome Stare, gloom, TG or MM pets for -tohit. Yesterday I went toe to toe with Countess Crey AV, conning +2 to me and didn't lose a pet taking her down.

    My tactic for AVs, EBs etc is to make sure that I summon the Dark Servant right next to them, so that both the anchor and pbaoe debuff are in effect, giving me stacked Darkest Night and Chill of the Night. With the pets clustered round to get heals off the Dark Servant, I simply cycle TG and Howling to keep regen manageable and keep out of any AoE Mez. Of course, all Nec pets do -tohit attacks too, so this isn't a direct comp with D3, but you get the picture.

    I kindof think slotting Fearsome for -tohit is a waste; fear duration is much more useful damage mitigation vs minions and lieuts, bosses should get the anchor as soon as possible (I don't bother on teams with good scraps) just throw out stare, tentacles, tar patch (DNight if worth it) then the cone attack and twighlight the boss to make sure it's not regenerating.

  14. I've been finding that the damage buff figure in the enhance screen isn't working for a few of my chars, regardless of type of enhance (sorry, if I have an IO equipped, the damage buff disappears)

    Is anyone else getting freaky problems with your pets' buff window not showing upgrades / taking each time it comes into supremacy range as a new buff which stacks on the old ones?

    This is actually based on fact, apart from the cyst dying, all of it's (and Dwarf & Nova's) damage is Neg (or NRG) which, as mentioned before, Khelds have a natural resistance to (their level 1 auto shield), combined with the fact that Dwarf form has high resistance and Nova has some (15%) built-in Neg/NRG res, a Kheld will take less damage then most of their team mates, even with out their toggle shields.

    You mean incandescence (or WS version)? Can tell you for a fact that a puny auto res does little versus these things. It's not that the nictus do huge damage, it's more that there are a fsking lot of them around a cyst. This means that the slow / -recharge element of their power stacks to crazy levels meaning you have to kill the cysts quickly to wipe them out before you run out of attacks, heals etc. A cyst is unlikely to kill a tank or dwarf quickly after the early levels, but it will wear them down over time if their damage doing chums don't kill the cyst.

    Hence, whenever I feel a cyst coming up (if I'm that lucky), I cadge as many purples as I can from the team, pop LF and beat the hell out of it in human form, alone. The +def helps avoid the damage (nice), but more importantly the crazy stacked slows, which render the whole thing pointless after the first attack cycle if they hit.
