"Exactly why the second phase will be carried out the exact same time the vault is being robbed. If one item is taken before the other, it will render the other task virtually impossible. Asuka, Shinji, and I are to lure Ms. Liberty into a trap, as Void Brawler and FireSpark break into the MAGI vault."
He clicked an icon on the laptop screen and motioned for the others to do the same.
They saw a picture of a young woman. "We shall kidnap this woman, a close personal friend of Ms. Liberty. Her name is Dana Reeds, a minor hero at best. Once she is captured and Ms. Liberty has left her post, Void Brawler and FireSpark shall begin their break-in of the vault." -
Burning saw the others join in, and heard the crowd cheering. He decided he might as well have fun with this fight, since they are just criminals, and flew over to the group.
He placed his hands on the ground, and stole the heat from it. Ice materialized around the thugs, sending them slipping and sliding across the patch.
He heard a few laughs as he backed up, slinging two fireballs into the thugs midst. -
((Sorry for the auto-control but we gotta get moving))
Shinji sat down and waited for them to start, wondering about the new arrival.
"After Void mentioned him, our friends decided to investige The Ruby Blade. I have business elsewhere, and he will be leading this mission." Ryan walked out of the room, taking one of the two laptops on the table.
Blade opened up the remaining one, and waited for the others to do the same.
They saw on their screen, Freedom Court in Galaxy City.
"It seems your employers are disappointed with your failure, and have decided you are only fit for the easiest of tasks. The robbing of the MAGI vault. However, succeed in this, and I am sure more appropriate tasks will come your way," he said.
He stared at Void Brawler for a moment before saying, "I am disappointed. I thought you had actually learned something." He faced the rest of the group once more. "Inside of the vault are many valuable items, but we are after one thing in particular, a sword known as the Bane of Zeus."
An image flashed across their screen, and a grey and black sword hovered, turning to show its design. It twisted and was obviously still sharp. The hilt was shaped like a tongue, coming from a skull in it's center which had stone cut to look like smoke extending out from it.
They noticed on the pommel, there was a hole.
"Many of you seem to notice the missing piece," said Blade. "That shall be our second task. The gem is held by Ms. Liberty. She wears it on a chain around her neck. If you are not up to this task, leave. I will not have incompetence failing this mission." -
Burning Brawler walked into the arena. He saw the others readying to eliminate the thugs.
Flames coursed down to his hands as Brawler raised them to the sky.
It began to rain fire down onto where the thugs stood. -

(OOC: Well, as I said, lethal to one person isn't lethal to another. If you put a guy into the arena made out of solid rock, he'd definately have a higher threshold than an average person. The equalizer is that he wouldn't be able to hit as hard.)

The Opportunist walked inside of a room where Burning Brawler, Danica, and Pstorm sat. "I promised you she would be here, safe and sound," he said, holding a hand out towards Pstorm.
"If anything happens to either of them, I swear I'll-"
"No, no, no. Threats could land you in... unfortunate... situations. Now come, it is time for your first match."
Burning followed The Opportunist out of the room. -
I always like reading the Phillisbots, they're always funny. It'd be great to see em more often.
I'm also open for more critiques, insults, smacks on the back of the head, etc. -
Master: The Opportunist. A refined man who is always seen wearing a black suit with a golden tie, and black hat. He carries his cane in a way that makes it obvious he does not rely on it, but what none are sure, is if it has other uses. While a master of deception and schemes, it is unclear if he has any try super powers. He has tricked, black-mailed, or forced many of his Gladiators to join him.
Burning Brawler: A fire-wielding hero who rushes to the aid of allies and will fight as long as he can against enemies. When angered beyond control of himself, his power rises, and his flames turn to a green and black that burn four times as hot as normal fire. It is not long after this power transformation that he is known to explode in a deadly inferno. He possesses the ability to fly, and has memorized small spells, such as invisibility. He carries with him small needles filled with restorative liquids in case of emergencies. Before The Opportunist forced him to join, he brought the Tome that gave him his abilities. It is most often used for more complicated spells, such as shifting out of time and space.
Danica: A martial artist who, through heavy training, has learned to resist pain. Her heels have been sharpened to deadly points, and it is advised to stay out of range of her. Being married to Burning Brawler, in a two versus two match, when one falls, the remaining may be one to watch carefully, as they are likely to become enraged. A spell cast by Burning Brawler has given her the ability to fly.
Pstorm: A young heroine who can create and control weather as well as use psionics to cause pain, read minds, convince an enemy to attack their ally, telekinetically shove enemies away, or put them to sleep. Her armor allows her protection against most damage, although once it is overloaded, she herself has little resistance. Pstorm has the ability to fly, and can rapidly increase her speed by using high speed winds to push off of objects. Being the daughter of Burning Brawler and Danica, the same advice is given as in Danica's description.
Blightlord: A master of the undead and powerful toxins and elixers. Blightlord is known for deception and inserting his undead forces into wherever he stays. Routine security checks are not only suggested, but required, as he is the arch-nemesis of the afore-mentioned Gladiators. Seperate rooms are requested. While the zombies are unthinking, the Grave Knights have basic intelligence. The only truly free thinking undead under his control are the lich Grime, and the spectre Sludge. Information gathering has concluded that the body is not truly Blightlord's, that he may be a controlling substance. Further investigation is needed.
Void Brawler: This young assassin uses shadows to attack and disarm his foes. The interesting note is that recently, a plot by a group known as The Masters of Mayhem, which Blightlord is a member of, captured Void Brawler and convinced him his parents, Burning Brawler and Danica, had been murdered by their friends, a supergroup known as The Buttkickers of the Fantastic. As The Opportunist enjoys this twist, he request Void Brawler be given a seperate room and not come in contact with his parents. He also has no knowledge that Pstorm is his sister, and assumes she is an enemy. While their battles are interesting, they are best saved for when their parents are not around. Early in his life, when it first seemed Void Brawler would not have powers, his mother trained him in the art of evasion, which he has nearly mastered after eight years. He has also inherited flight from his father.
The Ruby Blade: This assassin has little information known about his past His sword's blade is completely made of ruby. He also practices Ninjitsu, and will use items such as smoke bombs to make opponents lose track of him. He is highly evasive and possesses enhanced speed thanks to a device in his boots. He also is known to use Shurikens, but not just the normal type. Miniature explosives are often attached to these throwing stars, alone with energy sappers or poisons. He is an ally, and that term is used loosely, with Blightlord, being a fellow member of the Masters of Mayhem.
((That oughta do it til some eliminations happen.)) -
Actually, I rarely find it hard to read one of your longer posts. I really only had trouble in the beginning.
-
((I have an idea))
Void leapt into the briefing room, then stopped when he saw his mentor, The Ruby Blade, standing a the front.
He wore a full black mask with a red X on his eyes. The spiked spauldrons on his shoulders held a cape that had a slash pattern on it, similar to the one of his chest and legs.
"Sit down and we shall begin," he said. -
Otherworldly? Void hadn't really ever considered the shadows that.
They wrapped around his arms as he thought, and he stared at them for a moment. "I guess they are," he said to himself. -

Void raised an eyebrow at the newcomer. "Well, chalk this mission up as another failure."

((Void made a comment))

((He wasn't oggling
He just found it funny she blew herself right out of her clothes. I should have added he was barely able to keep a straight face, but she wouldn't know because of the glasses and cowl.))
-
((I'm asuming that was something BF won't translate?))
"Err... what'd she say?" asked Void. -
[ QUOTE ]
Asuka just glared at Void.
"SUKEBE!" was all she said.

((Sigh *heads to babblefish*)) -
The second it reached his hair, Void was rolling on the floor, sending the swing wide.
He turned to knock Asuka's feet out from under her while saying, "What was that for?" -
Void raised an eyebrow at the newcomer. "Well, chalk this mission up as another failure."
He looked over at Asuka and nodded, half smiling. "Nice."
He shook his head and walked back to the couch. -
Void Brawler watched and was a little surprised at the way the two fought. He thought naming all those moves that way was something only done in weird Anime shows.
He shrugged and kept watching, if they wanted a duel, they'd ask. -
I recently showed Essex my character (I'm amazed she actually wanted to see ALL of them) and Pstorm, for all her power in Threads, was slightly embarassing ingame (so were Void Brawler, The Consumed, and Psymonica).
I'll take requests for certain characters, as the Training Room is just one server.
I'm definitely copying over:
1. Burning Brawler
2. Danica
3. Blightlord (who, btw Essex, just got a new costume)
4. Void Brawler
5. Pstorm
That leaves seven slots, pick who you wanna see. -
((I need to pull out of this thread for a little while. I'm going out of town soon and with when I'm getting home lately, I get an hour on CoX at the most. I may return when my schedule goes back to normal though.))
The Wailer Lord furiously stabbed at the Rikti Monkeys. They ripped into him, it hurt so much!
In his last moments, he looked back at his Wailers. "Don't you... forget about me."
He collapsed under a loss of blood, eyeballs, liver, and... well those Monkeys are sick freaks, lets leave it at that.
A King was zapped by the energy burst. "Remember what now?" The Monkeys advanced on him. "Runnin' around at the speed of sound, got no place to go gotta follow my-" The Rikti swarmed over him and ripped him to shreds. The Wailer Queen and King duo rushed in for the Magus.
She stunned him with a blast of sonic energy as he ran in for the decapitation. A Rikti bashed his head with the butt-end of its rifle.
His skull cracked and he fell. "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" shreiked the Queen, the force of her cry knocking those nearby into walls.
As fluids leaked from his brain, he sang his last song on earth. "[i]I love you... you *cough* love me... we'll screw these mothers in hell baby, with a great big shriek and a stab from me and you, won't you say they'll die.... real.... sooon...."
His arm went limp. The Wailer Queen turned, fire in her eyes. Her servant jumped up behind her. "You give aliens, a baaad name!" he shouted before rushing in. -
The Wailers were angered by the shield, but saw nothing they could do about it when...
The Wailer Lord rose. In a sonic cry of triumph, he had rerisen, and shattered the barrier, disorienting the Magus. The remaining five Wailers charged. -
"Well if you want to try to hit something that dodges..." Void flipped around quickly to demonstrate.
He leapt off a wall and rolled. He leapt onto a bench, then off of that to kick off the celing and land back by the others. -
((*is not going to see Snakes on a Plane*))
-
Void rolled his eyes, but it couldn't be seen behind the glasses.
He walked over to a large punching bag and faded from view. As he pulled his arms back, shadows wrapped around his hands like boxing gloves.
He struck, and the bag flew off its chain, slamming into the wall and leaving a dent.
Void looked at the hole and shrugged apologetically. "Haven't hit something that hard in a while." It was true. He could've easily broken a spine with that force, but he always aimed to temporarily take opponenets out.
