Bill, you don't know me and I'm not a creepy stalker, but thank-you for all you have contributed. I've seen your info. posted many times on forums, adding to the community.
I've probably teamed with you with my 60+ alts (I take medicine for the alt-itis. I got it cheap from the trolls in the Hollows)
COX was so different from other MMO's I'd always come back to it after I was bored or annoyed with other MMO's.
Farewell Bill, and the rest of you all! Not sure if I'm going to move to another MMO, either.

Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 is where the pvp'ers went.
I had some fun on Guild Wars 1 but at level 20 got bored fast. I crave COX going onto a public server that test toons to be transferred.
But it may be worth checking out. -
I think it was shut down by the first door sitter ever.
He was the guy who blind invited a full team of 8 and told us, "Go Hunt, Kill Skulls"
He caused it all.

I'll probably head back to LOTRO. Time to level up the Elfies, yobbits, and those abominations we call dwarves. Oh... and humans... forgot about humans. =D
Bye all, it was more fun the last years than the first time I found out what a magnifier + sun did to insects.

Guys the only MMO I can turn to after COX closes will be... real life.
I've tried the other mmo's and they are fun in ways, but not the same. So, after growing mole-like eyes from so much COX gameplay, here I go (opens the doors, blinks rapidly and gasps at the splendor of the sun! Haven't seen you in 7 years, pal! How ya doin? Stops staring at the sun after the eyes hurt some.
Farewell to you all in COX. It was a lot of fun.

I agree with you guys.
What was so special about this game is what brought me back after I "left permanently" 3x. I left for other mmos and kept thinking, "yeah I like this aspect of the new one I'm playing, but..." I will miss the way COH encourages you, and allows you, to team with people any level in the game for most of the mishes.
Almost all the MMO's out today discourage teaming. The XP bonus on COX for teams, and allowing different levels should be widespread. How many times on other mmo's do you have to keep searching for one other dude who can help with a quest, because you have to be the same level or both have it for it to be worth your time?
I spent so much time on the character creator, making at least 75 toons on two servers and 2 accounts. I don't have this kind of alt-itis on other mmo's.
I have enjoyed the ride since 2005. Farewell everyone!

Thank you for your dedication and the fact that you developers from COX were so interactive. Other mmo's closed their doors and I missed the game, but got over that fast.
In this situation, I'll miss many of the players and developers. The good news is as you all pursue your next options, you have strong padding for your resume ready to copy and paste from these forums.

You guys (pinches cheeks). I started playing in 2005 and deleted my info from my first 2 accounts due to playing too much.
I was originally Burn Sucka, and then Master_Don_King
Thank you so much for your dedication, putting up with our whining, at times, and making COH by far the most customer/player centered super hero mmo out there. Thank you for enabling us to team up with other players of any level. That encouraged actual teaming, and community, that other MMO's lack.
I can't imagine how difficult it must be for you guys, as it is difficult for us to say goodbye. Take care and I wish you well in your future endeavors.
