  1. Build motioned to Essex and took a glass of heavily refined oil off the tray. He took a large gulp and looked around at the others, "What I figured if a machine could do it so could I!"

He emptied the rest of the glass and lay it on the arm rest of his seat. "Man if this crap starts getting heated I'm gonna start takin bets. I'd give 3-1 odds on the guy with the rifle and 2-1 on the man quilt." He thaught meaning Solid Shot and Igor.
  2. ((Guess Kaega then. Seeing as Entropy is the only one voting(and he has mad man love for Kaega) I guess he'll be next unless I get some votes for other people.))
  3. ((Well seems like Build would be at home in this situation, little work and lotsa talky. Sorry if I'm a little late.))

"Did I already miss the introductions?" Said a voice from the back of the room. Any people who felt like turning around would see a 6'1" 23 yrs old man with large robotic arms, a backwards baseball cap, and a huge dip leaning against the door.

"Nice little gaurds you have standing outside the door. Wouldn't have let me in if they hadn't seen my invitation. For those of you who don't know me I am Build. I research everything from particle physics, advanced mechanical engineering and theories, to virtual realism and interdimensional sciences." Build casually strolled over to a seat and flopped down. He pulled out an empty soda bottle and proceeded to spit dip juice into it.

He looked around at Igor, "What? Frankenburger finally letting the inmates out to mingle with society?"
  4. Jonas shifted his footing and held his right arm above his head. He began concentrating on the fire that surrounded Khell trying to absorb as much as possible to allow her to stay close to the group, "Yo! No wandering, there's no telling what they'll do if you aren't close enough for us to help."

Jonas cracked a smile and looked at Kaega. Kaega had gotten a far off look in his eyes. He layed a hand on Jonas's shoulder, "When things go south, don't react. Let me do my job."
  5. Kaega gritted his teeth as a few arcs of electricity made contact with his arms and legs. He was begining to see the reason all these metas had joined forces against Poe. "Jonas, take the scroll off your arm and do something about this static."

Jonas nodded toward Kaega. He slipped his left thumb into the top of the wrapped scroll and quickly drew it straight down off of his arm. The excess energy in the area (every thing from the duo powersink to the energy being released by Bladewing and E-X) was having an odd effect on the markings of his arm.

He felt the blackness within his mind grow, it became louder than his brother could ever hope to be. Those that were standing in the area around Jonas, as long as they could perceive the spectrum his powers were affecting, would feel something akin to the 'rabbit on their grave' feelings.

The very air around his arm began to circulate as the demon in his arm started to draw upon both the potential and kinetic energies in the area. The lightning that was bounding around both himself and Kaega began to flow toward his arm and seemingly dissappear.

He began to concentrate harder on the darkness, filling it with the energy. "I just hope this doesn't interfere with Dark Vapor's ability to block incoming teleportations."
  6. Build glared across the table toward Conlin. Conlin glared back with the exact same ferocity, "You're the idiot that told me to cut it out."

"You're figgin mumbo-jumbo crap shoulda told you something bad would happen!" Build said angrily.

"You should have paid more attention and not drank anything Morin gave you." Conlin said calmly.

"It's not my fault that guy's an [expletive]!" Build exclamed

"But it is your fault that the stuff was still in your stomach, you should have tried to excrete it," Conlin said it as if the idea was relatively new.

"You know what, don't talk to me," Build said with finality.

Conlin looked around the room, "So do you think it's weird that instead of ending up back in the Dark World or our headquarters we ended up here?"

"God I hate the Dimension of Mist. How long before Husk figures out we're here?" Build said with exasperation.

"10 seconds give or take a thousand years. Well, let's get out our armies," Conlin reached into a black bag on his side and removed six bones. He cast the bones on the ground and they gave a sickening squish sound as flesh and other bones assembled around them giving them a Night of the Living Dead vissage.

Build typed in a few commands on his wrist console. A pocket dimension opened in front of his outstretched arm and his six robots filed out, "Mine are bigger."

"I believe it's been stated before that it's not the size of your army, it's their ability to rock the boat," Conlin said with a quiet laugh under his voice.
  7. "Uh. . .it's a boy." Conlin said looking Build in the face.

"WHAT THE [expletive] DO YOU MEAN A BOY!?!" Build was freakin out. He didn't want to be a dad, his robots were already a handful.

"Na I'm just messin with ya. Apparently you have a glass shell fish in your gut. Talk about the night after, " Conlin said completely straight faced.

"I'm sick of this crap. Cut! It! Out!" Build screamed at Conlin.

"Okay then. . . .if that's what you want," Builds head struck the table he was sitting on with a thunk. Conlin shook his head from side to side "Ask and thou shalt recieve"

Conlin found a seam that traveled along the inside of his wrist, pulling the skin back he pulled out a long bladed talon scalple.

Conlin quickly ran the scalple down Build's middle and stuck a hand inside "Let's see what we have here"
  8. Kaega laughed at the Jagerkin's antics, "Aye, jagerkin make good cannon fodder on occasion. I've had the pleasure of fighting a few of your relatives. Quite surprising, really, how much survivability these creatures have; they almost rival my own."

Jonas looked at Kaega, "If they can go through as much as you do it'll be well to have one on our side." Jonas held his right hand toward Horrowitz then thought better of it quickly switching to his left.

    --------------------------

Build fidgeted more, the painted runes on his skin causing him greater discomfort the longer they were on. "Do you think we will be done with this stuff anytime soon? This stuff in my stomach isn't very sanitary you know. What is this telling you?" Build asked the waiting Conlin.

"Gimme a sec, this is a very delicate procedure. The more you fidget the greater the chance you'll throw off the results." Conlin said clearly exasperated.

((Diov? You gonna expand a little on Build's situation? Or we gonna drop that?))
  9. Kaega looked over at Briggs, "Well we could go through the whole process of trying to find him. Then again from everything I've heard about Poe we could just stand around and call him names till he shows up."

Jonas snickered a little, "Yeah that sounds like something Poe would do. So what do you guys think do we try to pull a sneak attack they know will be coming or do we bring them to us?"
  10. ((There will be more within the week. Just gotta think of which backstory I'm gonna add and in which order. I know I'm gonna make Shaakti's next then Kaega or Jonas. . . .I know you guys pick one for the next chapter after Shaakti's.

You can choose from Jonas, Kaega, Dax, Conlin, Morin, Hromas, or Bang. Voting starts. . . .NOW!))

Edit: Forgot to add Morin and Hromas. . . yeah I know bad ediquet to forget my own chars
  11. Boss Man & Shaakti

"Damnit!" Boss Man shouted, planting a foot in a lesser demon's stomach, sending the little beast crashing through a wall. Dark World had thirteen courts. The highest was the First Court and was only made up of the leaders of the other twelve. Until this day, or millenium since the time flow was relative to a being's potential, the First Court hadn't been summoned since the unfortunate demise of Boss Man's prdecessor.

The only reason it was called then was for them to name me the new King of Terran Court, then disband the other members. Then the High Court had the nerve to tell me to 'find my court amongst the multitude.' I mean what the hell kinda clue is that, I've searched this world over and haven't fournd anybody who fits the bill!

He gripped the door knob to the frontdoor of an old apartment building in one massive, leathery hand. As he stepped into the darkened interior the apartment facade fell away revealing lush carpeting and rich fixtures leading down a long hallway to a single door. "DWC Headquarters? Why can't they ever set these things up in a nice place. . .y'know like the Abyss?!

"Can I go in?" Boss Man asked the pretty, blonde secretary type sitting at a big mahogany desk outside of the door which led into the conferrence room.

The secretary tilted her head to look at the Boss Man through glazed eyes, "You are the last. . .Master is waiting."

"Great I'm late. This is gonna be interesting." Boss Man thought sarcasticly as he opened the door and stepped into the conference room.

    -------------------------------------

The conference room was impressive. Not so much because of the eleven very powerful figures that sat along the sides of the table, but because of the "Man" that sat at the head of the table.

"Glad you finally decided to make an appearance, Boss Man." The walls trembled as the words echoed across the room, even though they were little more than a whisper.

"I-I apologize from the depths of my being for my tardiness, sir." Boss Man stammered out, suddenly remembering how his predecessor had died.

"I have already informed the others here of my decision. The Light has taken an interest in Terran Earth, and so apparently has a group of dimensionals called Husk. The rest of my court has already expressed their opinions on my decision, and now it is your turn. I am sending you to Terra even though you have yet to find your Court," The Master whispered from across the room, cracks spreading along the walls.

"I can honestly say that I don't feel comfortable with this decision. With the prescence of the Light and this Husk group the magnitude of our power will be severly limited. I won't be able to affect either group until I find the court that I severely lack," Boss Man said in the most appeasing way possible.

The Master cocked an eyebrow at Boss Man, "Then stop complaining and find them." Even though he spoke at normal volume, the walls first buckled, then shattered. The conference room fell in on itself sealing Boss Man away in darkness.

    -------------------------------------

    Steel Canyon

Boss Man woke to the sounds of police sirens. He was laying in the middle of a burned out apartment building. He looked around himself noticing a trail of blood and bodies that headed out into the hallway. "Master works fast "

Boss Man placed one large, leathery hand against the floor and levered himself up. The sounds of the police hammering on the door echoed up the stairs, down the hallway, and through the door. " I haven't had time to do anything yet, so they aren't here for me." He looked around at the bodies. "Duh!"

He walked out the door, following the trail of bodies. The shouts of the police down stairs became intersperced with crys of "Open UP!" and "This is the police" as Boss Man walked down the hallway. The trail of corpses had deteriorated from whole bodies too little more than smears of blood.

Boss Man followed the trail of blood to a room four doors down the hallway. As Bossman neared the door he thought he heard crying. As his hand gripped the door knob the the crying on the otherside abruptly ceased. What little light that fell through the doorway after it had been cracked open landedon a startlingly green eye.

Boss Man fully opened the door. The green eye belonged to an almost flawless face. The face belonged to a small body. The small body belonged to a little girl. "She couldn't be much more than ten years old. What is she doing in a place like this?"

Boss Man looked from her face to her arms. Her arms were small and waif like, except for the fact that they were covered in blood from her finger tips to her shoulders. Boss Man looked over the rest of her body from his position by the door, her night gown was ripped and torn, there were no visible wounds, and a katana lay a few feet from her prone form.

Boss Man heard the front door shatter as the cops gained entrance, he looked around at the corpses of the dead Warrior, "If I can remember right, cops on this world don't take too well to murder. What's you name kiddo?"

The girl blinked, the first sign of life Boss Man had seen in her, and looked toward the hulking demon, "Shaakti"

Boss Man smiled a big, toothy grin, "Do you want to come with me? I can make it so no one can ever hurt you again," he said as he stretched out his hand toward her.

Shaakti stared blankly at the out stretched hand, "I would like that."

Boss Man smiled down at her, "I can hear the cops on the stairs now. Time for us to depart."

Shaakti put her tiny hand into the leathery mit. She felt the power contained in the demon and had already decided, if he could save her she would follow him any where, and if he couldn't she would kill him. Shaakti scooped the katana off the floor and held it close to her side.

Boss Man summoned up enough energy to step. When his foot came back down they were no longer in the apartment building. "Welcome to your new home Shaakti" Boss Man said, a peculiar little smile playing across his mouth.

Looks like I've found the first of my court.
  12. Kaega let out a bark of laughter, "So that old story is still going around. Just so you know, the nun was fine if a little shaken. . . .the Rikti Priest on the other hand was never the same." Kaega said as he shifted the scabbard that held his sword in place to give it a better fit.
  13. ((Gotcha, this sounds awesome anyways ))
  14. ((Done. . . .wait I forgot Kaega yeah I can see him working here. So I'll leave the choice up to youz guys: Kaega or Bang the Jester.))
  15. ((I may join in if I can figure out what toon I want to use. . .Jonas wouldn't fit, Dax would but I'm already using him, and Build likes playing things from the background. I may just drop my jester in here, but be warned I have less control over him than any of the others ))
  16. "Bored are you? Still too young to know when to enjoy the peace times. I am Kaega, I believe Jonas mentioned me earlier." Said a battle hardened voice as Kaega seemed to step out of thin air.

He stood a little over six feet in height, battle scars marred any visible skin, his face was covered by a sightless mask except for the mouth were teeth that had been sharpened to points were clearly visible. His sword, Arget, hung from the scabbard at his side and even though the scabbard sealed most of it's power, an aura of bloodthirst hung about it.

"Jonas? Seeing as you haven't popped in yet I believe introductions are a little over due." Kaega said to the seemingly empty space to his right. One darkly glowing rune appeared floating in the air and separated into hundreds of smaller runes. They formed a circle in the air and out stepped the aforementioned meta.

"Alright then, Second Rook Kaega meet the team. Team meet Second Rook Kaega." Any of the metas that had open minds and little mental defences all of a sudden 'saw' runes appear in their minds and Jonas's voice echoed into their thoughts "Show respect to him if nothing else, he's been in more battles than most of us know exist."
  17. Build

    A Hero Fallen

    Nice work!

If only I can get off my lazy bum and get to writing on mine
  18. Dax raised a hand, "Seconded, now to figure out how this thing works and port in some food."

Dax walked across to one of the control panels and began to pound medium hard on the keys. I HOPE nothing bad comes down on us because of this.

((OOC: I finally figured out why I hear so much about Auburn campus parties, they are uber ))
  19. Dax looked overhead as dust rained down and looked toward Bladewing, "Two to one bet that was the boomer that was all 'Gonna go Nova! Gonna go Nova!'"

Dax motioned toward the teleporter, "You think they forgot about us?"
  20. ((Looks that way, I'm just waiting for a good opportunity to jump back in.))
  21. "That's an interesting past you have there," Dax said

"Mine goes more along the lines of being a vein of crystal reaching up from the depths of Dark World happily minding my own business. When a being of demigod like power asked a simple question, 'How would you like to be able to do more than just grow and reach for things you can never have?'"

Dax cracked a smile, "Of course I was dubious at first, but as I thought things through I realized I had become bored sitting around. I agreed to become one of his court bishops, and he gave me the knowledge on how to become what I am now."

"Needless to say spending over a thousand years doing nothing but growing can really take it out of a guy. I no longer have any patience. Not that that is a problem, I mean I am an artisan of the art of smash." Dax said as he flipped a crystal from the palm of his hand onto one of the teleport pedestals.

"You see moisture makes me grow at an unusual rate, and after awhile enough water will build up on that crystal to cause it to grow outward with the force of a frag grenade. . . .I feel sorry for the first bloke that comes through there."
  22. "Dude! Lets go in there and play whack a soldier as they come out!" Dax shouted enthusiasm apparent in his voice

He started walking across to the teleporter room flipping a hand toward the other Metas, "Just gonna go in here and take a bio break. Be Right Back." He said as he smashed the key card panel to the right of the door. The door slid open revealing the teleporter room.

"Yo Blade! Think we could use this thing to import some food? Or some women for that matter."
  23. "YO! Did you just call me kinky, Ned?" Dax shouted across the room after returning to human form.

"Cause if you are, that's an area I really don't think needs exploring." Dax said trying to look nonchalant while keeping a straight face.

He turned to Bladewing, "Can you believe these guys? We do all the work and then they critisize us because we do too good of a job!"

"Hopefully they won't notice I was just kidding when I went crazy and they won't question it. . . . Yeah fat chance. Hobo Ned's gonna chew me out because of that. It's their fault though, I told 'em I go crazy when I get bored." Dax said to himself while looking across at the bedraggled metas
