I'd like to point out right now that I will NOT be using characters of players, at least I won't be mentioning names. There will be a lot of undead heroes but they will be nameless and basically foot soldiers that die easily. Only the NPCs will get any major time on page and lines (if any)

I know Marvel's done this before but as the old saying goes "Whatever Marvel can do, I can do bigger, better, funnier and sexier."

It was either this or a civil war parody and I know which I'd prefer :P

Well I'm mainly gonna be focusing on the NPC characters, how they react and how they survive. If you haven't guessed the rest of the cast, they'll soon come to light and You'll be very surprised.

It happened three days ago, with a routine call to Portal Corporation on Peregrine Island. Tina Macintyre had called us in to investigate a new world that had been discovered. Naturally Statesman, being the cautious cat that he is, led the Freedom Phalanx into this new world. I had stayed near the portal to keep watch, just in case anything happened to the team. The world was like most of the alternate universes Portal Corp had found, they were half destroyed but this was different. It was completely silent. It gave me the creeps. Thirty minutes of silence later, I heard my first scream, but not my last.
My intercom became static and muffled but I could hear peoples screams and what sounded like muffled groans. Ten minutes after that, I saw a figure speeding toward me, I instinctively reached for my quiver and took aim. I focused on the object and saw it was Positron. He seemed to be running from something. Out of his dust trail, I saw them, Positron’s pursuers.

It was our team mates. They seemed crazed and were snarling. Statesman, Synapse, Sister Psyche, and Citadel were all acting like beasts and hunting down Positron. Before I could ask, Posi grabbed me as he flew over me. The next few minutes were a blur. From the pieces I remember, we got through the portal back to our world. Positron ordered the technicians to shut the portal down but too late.
Synapse got through a split second before the portal closed and tore through the facility like a whirlwind. Positron could only mutter to himself as Synapse got out onto the island. “It’s too late…. We’re doomed….” Positron kept saying until I shook him. He calmed down and explained that the team was attacked in Atlas Park. Citizens came crawling out of the wood work and attacked them, biting and clawing. Statesman told the team not to retaliate for all the good it did him. The citizens had been victims of a biological virus unleashed by that worlds Lord Recluse. It turned them into monsters that would feast on the flesh of the living.

After Synapse got out, it was only a matter of time before he began feeding. He started with Ghost Falcon and Castle, feasting on them and infecting them. The three “heroes” soon made a meal out of most of the big players in Paragon within the first 24 hours. Citizens and villains alike fled the city and the governing body decided to lock the city down.
This was a measure put in place after the Rikti war to close off the city entirely using the war walls’ force fields. With the majority of the public outside the city limits, the war walls were switched to lockdown mode, encasing the entire city in a blue translucent box. All teleporters were shut down and all sewage networks sealed with steel and concrete. All those heroes that escaped infection are gathering in a secluded area in Overbrook. This is where things get difficult. Log/Freedom-Phalanx/Manticore/ Public - Postponed.

My character is an Assault Rifle blaster, but I won't be using his weapon in the pic, it's more about his identity than his powers.

If it was a gun perhaps, but I think the fact that the weapon is in the hands of a hero gives us a little leway

Okay folks heres something I've been mulling over for the last week, ever since the tragic Virginia Tech incident.....

I'm proposing that the talented amongst us do a memorial piece, we don't have to do one seperately, I was thinking that each of us create a picture of one or more of our toons unmasked holding a candle to show our sympathies to the surviviors and the families of the deceased, I'd like to know other people's opinions and we can sort out the details.
