rolled a new empath yesterday. did the first two lvls(up to 3) on my own since its so easily done then i spent about an hour looking for a team.. boy was that boring

The point is, AV's and to a lesser extent GM's definitely CAN be, and routinely are, handled by teams with neither Tanks nor Empaths.

Taken down a +2 Battle Maiden (AV, before they spawned as EB's), just a /Inv Scrapper and my kinetics defender (Took ages, mind, but would've taken way longer if he was a tank or I was an empath).

Taken down +1 Dreck (AV) with four blasters and my Kinetic. (Blappers and Transfuusion spam is great).

And a halfway decent /Rad or a couple of controllers will make any AV wish he'd never been brainstormed by Cryptic.

No i dont underestimate it at all, have duo'd a couple of av's myself, me being a stone tank and a nice little kinetic. didnt even take very long.
and i'm talking on invinc so thats about +3.

Yea you should give an empath another go - generally you will get more teams in the 20+ area though, when your needed the most (and people start needing you in things like respec Tf's)

Me and my mate are duoing all the tfs in the game as a controller/scrapper - just finished posi and we intend to only use arcs/hunting to level up enough to get to the level range for the next TF.

tf's are much more fun than doing random missions and also more challenging in my opinion.

if you run it on a low rep they should, running it on invinc will get you an AV solo but the others wont afaik
