  1. I'm game if you are interested in a not so positive opinion.

No offence but I've seen less RPing in this MMOG then any of the other four MMOGs I've tried over the years, and before anyone jumps the gun this is not in any way or form an attack on any group of RPers and certainly not on the folks of GG, who should remember that they are not the only RPers around.

PS: On other news I still love this game, nerfs, lousy RP support and all.
  2. Irony meter rising and rising...
  3. I know a lot of us foreign devils who use leet speak (not me), so I thimk that the assumption that he's english just because he can slaughter the blasted language is actually wrong.

Linguistic slaughter.. you can do it as well...
  4. Fury is great, I solo small missions in one go, mediums with one quick rest. I think you really should learn to manage your end better, make sure you are only running the toggles you need and use any insps you find.

I want to play this darn it!!! I love the pentad format, and nothing is more fun then beating up people you like (well maybe people you dislike, but there has to be some sort of feeling involved there)!

  13. Last nights finest moments where the Sentinel for me which was just cool because I'm a sucker for steam punk, and fusebox liner, unfortunatell SP was more concerned about certain drama that was going on at the time.
  14. In Character Part:
Since the late 19th century the Society of the Phoenix has been in the public eye in one form or another. A gentlemen’s club unlike any other before, it accepted both male and females of any colour, nationality or religious belief, the single factor for acceptance among its ranks was to go above and beyond what is perceived as the human norm.

Exceptional scientists, literary savants, adventurers, mystics and what would be later termed metahumans joined together to socialise and share ideas. Word on the street has been that they all have gotten a taste of the beyond, the things most never see, climbed the highest mountains, read books considered lost even some say conquered death in their travels. What is certain is that the public still mostly looks at them with both wariness and with awe. The media has always been favourable since most of the Society’s public face is maintained by a series of charities and glamour parties.

The Society was apparently originally founded in London, during the 1920s with the rise of the metahuman and the arcanist in Paragon City it was decided to open a club there as well, the chapter has flourished and even managed to weather the Rikti invasion pretty well in it’s penthouse in Steel Canyon. Prospective members are discreetly approached by representatives of the Society itself.

    Out of character part:
The Society of the Phoenix is a role play super group where actions have consequences. The world is dark, the world is gritty - and if you kick up enough dust, the world is deadly. We expect mature out of character behaviour and tolerance for in character rudeness and malicious intent. If you make in character enemies, they will be your enemies next week too. Only way out of a sticky situation is making it better yourself.

Helping you with plots and other RP matters are Gamemasters. Contact them freely, ask for tips, ask for help getting involved and offer feedback on what's going on. On your side the following charter should be respected at all times:

    1) The Society of the Phoenix is an RP supergroup– It is a group of adventurers and half mercenary heroes, not clear cut and shining examples of all that is good always but with their own dark sides and haunted past. We need you to be comfortable role playing in an environment where rudeness, racism, sexism and foul language are not just allowed, but fairly normal. For reference, think “the Authority”, “the New X-Men” or even Alan Moore’s “League of Extraordinary Gentlemen” (not the movie).

    2) In-character (IC) and out of character (OOC) don’t mix. IC you can be a ******* – OOC we expect players to manage normal polite behaviour. People being OOC rude, racist or sexist will not be tolerated. Leet-speak will not be tolerated. OOC harrassing other players through /tells or any other way will not be tolerated. Actions by a Phoenix member reflect on the reputation of all of Phoenix -- please remember that, and help keep our supergroup friendlier OOC than it is IC. Save the cheap insults for friends who know you don't really mean them.

    3) Roleplay is about consent. Avoid actions that deny the other player any chance to react. That’s a fancy way of saying, you cannot decide to be another player character's brother without asking them first, or emote “PlayerX whacks PlayerY with a haddock”. However, “PlayerX swings a haddock at PlayerY, aiming for their head” is acceptable -- assuming you actually have a haddock at hand, and the irrational urge to wallop people with seafood.

    4) When in doubt, ask a game master (GM). GM’s are Phoenix players who have volunteered their time to improve Phoenix for all members by planning events, mediating disputes between members, and playing stand-in for parts of the game universe that aren’t player characters (e.g., authorities, paramedics, random bystanders, etc.). GM’s are selected by the vote of all members, and can be asked to step down if found abusing their authority.

    5) Be considerate, and have fun. At the end of the day, that's what it really comes down to.

For joining contact Brighteyes on these forums our own boards or the character Shadowplay in game, thank you.

(currently the rest of the GMs are going silly on the game and suffering from altitis, when they are cured their contact info will be added)
