I think the "blighters" understand that many of us are reaching are 36 character limit and with GR coming out in 3-6 months we need space for new characters. Giving us the free ability to transfer seldom used characters to seldom used servers seems like a win-win to me.

IIRC, the Hero Con video said 2nd Quarter of 2010. That would be April, May, or June of next year. It's not uncommon, in fact it's very common, that games miss their target date and go longer.

I'm thinking something went wrong with the patch test. As far as it being the Winter Event, it seems a little early. That would be nearly 4 weeks to Jan 4th.

I would assume it is just going to be based on game launch dates. That would mean the EU players would need the 48+ patch to get into the Closed Beta.
