ooh lots of imput
1: Oranbega: Ok, so we have some more CoT stuff, on a end game TF that involves pissing off Arachnos. Arachnos and CoT don't seem to have much to do with eachother, so here is my theory. Recluse is building some kind of super weapon, and this weapon draws it's power from mystical powers in Oranbega. Ok, so we have 1 or 2 missions where we go down there to shut off a portal or something, or cause mayhem to parts of oranbega.
2: RV: come on people, listen to those commercials on TV, "Go RVing". Ok, so, an instanced map? possibly, i say this because in the pillbox screen, there is a hole in the ground that i don't recognize. someone point this out to me and prove me wrong though, because i have another theory of RV that i'd actually like to see. Statesman: "it is almost time to take make a direct strike at Arachnos, but first we need I need you to locate the location of their weapons facility. From as far as I can gather, this information is known only to the highest ranking members of Arachnos, so you'll need to draw one of them out in order to retrieve this information" Defeat Any AV in Recluse's Victory. Of course, people will most likely complain about that, but who cares, this TF needs to be difficult, it needs to force Heroes to take challenges, as they should be. They need to be prepared to have to deal with multiple AV's at once, or villains interfering with their plans.
3: Why Arachnos?: Ok, this was only mentioned once or twice in this thread, but i know of a few people that don't like the idea of the "Final Task Force" being taken against an enemy group that you actually need to look for to find, ie, it doesnt present itself openly, and if you don't take the faultline path, you have a chance of missing. (there are very few other enemy groups that can be entirely missed based on your path through the game. for example, it would be rediculous if the Katie Hannon TF was located outside of Croatoa). Well, my answer to this, "Statesman" ok, so he leads the Freedom Phalanx, and at the moment, Arachnos is their biggest threat. So this is why he's leading the TF against them. But what about the other enemy groups that need a TF? Say the Rikti for example. Well, Statesman may be the main character, but he is not the only "Lead Hero". As far as future content goes, Hero 1 could always make a retun, and give us a Rikti TF. Numina's father, as part of the midnight squad could give us a TF involving a story between the Oranbegans, the Mu, and maybe the Banished Pantheon. BaB, or Blue Shield could give a Regulators TF aimed at taking down the Family at their source and putting a crippling blow at the drug trade. I'm just spouting off additional 50+ TF's that involve different "teams" or "supergroups" who's primary focus lies elsewhere.
4: Fewer AV's: alright, good reason for the Flier to be there at the same time. 5 AV's and a GM sounds perfectly acceptible.
5: Too hard?: yes and no. Currently the game ends at level 50, the dev's don't seem to be working towards any 50-60 content at the moment, just additional 50 (sometimes called 50+). So, we basically have two different catagories for level 50, we have, well, level 50. My definition for this, is a hero who has recently reached level 50, and claimed their reward. maybe done some of the 45+ task forces, and story arcs. 50+ however is slightly different, at least as how i define it. 50+: A hero who reached 50 some time ago, and has worked to further their character, possibly recieving all the accolades among other badges. Has trays of level 53 enhancements or Hami-O's. Has done a significant amount of end game material, possibly finishing off all of the task forces. In the future this will also take advantage of inventions which are used to further their character. So, while a TF of this magnitude may be too difficult to a level 50, though a level 50+ who has significantly worked on their character should find it do-able. The addition of so much 50+ content, instead of additional levels will continue to create a rift between regular level 50's, and veteren 50's. these two different groups should be recognized as different, such as the difference of a 44- who can't access the current endgame events, to a 45+ who now has access to all engame content.
anyways, i had some other things, but i got a little side tracked with some of my comments, so i'll leave it for later and see what you guys think of what i had to say
