    Obviously this would happen if the dom were solo, which is probably from which some people get their negative opinions of Dominators from. With a proper team, brutes, thermals, et all, a buffed dom should be able to pull off the number of required holds without getting ganked, and if he cannot, it is because the hero team is much better than the villain team, not because dominators need rewiring.

    True words. Domi's CAN be really good.

    I've been on a few teams with a domi on monday pvp night against other good teams where the buffers did an excellent job on me i got many kills- in fact i got shitloads and outdoing the ice/em and whatsoever (there was no cager in my team!! )- and I really made a difference!
    Mezzing even with domination on isn't really what it's all about when CM/Thaw is flying around plenty and really hard to get that really going. No matter what ppl say about it, against teams with 2 or more emps/thermals/kins imo stacking holds many times shouldn't be your primary focus and can be considered a waste of end, time and mobility... For the biggest part it was the sheer power of my dominated and buffed (fire) secondary that really laid down the hurt. Ofcourse my team won.

    On the other hand i really felt the difference when i wasn't properly supported when in another team and i was the primary ganked target and dying LOTS. Ofcourse my team lost

    I think in general it's just ppl underestimate dom's and hence they are thought of as 5th wheel on the wagon first to be sacrifised...
    But oh if a good dom is supported well he can play like a proper blaster (so not a blapper) with more ranged attacks and added control and in this state can really wreck up the opposing team

  7. Fire/rad obviously very powerfull and save combo, but also a bit boring imho. earth/storm much much more fun

    On a sidenote: i can imagine not liking it on a MM, but /TA will make something different on a troller can't really compare.

    Well i've been planning to make a son/kin for a long time but having played 3 kin trollers all the way, i have the same feeling as Okt and still haven't made that corr...yet

  14. I've played both eart/storm and earth/ta with immense joy till the last possible bar.

    The first being the most rounded and offering the best controlled environment possible and being safer. Synergy is excellent including nice -kb against tornado and LS, but carefull with it on FR.

    The latter being more nifty and vulnerable but makes a great aggresive troller with more control then the average troller and the location based powers of both earth and TA have surprisingly good synergy there too. (i.e. quicksand/earthquake make great tools to make bunches clustered together for disruption arrow and the awesome oilslick) Also rocky doesn't seem to suffer from the oilslick-pet bug

    /kin does well too as stated already, but tbh /kin goes nice with everything...

    You said you don't want /rad. Still it's a very very good secondary to earth as that primary offers a lot of great tools to keep m in your rad debuffs, but admittedly it's a rather boring troller imo. I deleted mine after a lvl or 30 something

    But to stick to the 3 secondaries you picked; go earth/storm for impeccable control and damage mitigation and go earth/TA if you want something different, challenging and surprisingly much aggresive fun. Both are great!

    Hey, tentacles are nearly as good as dark blast damage wise, Plus they're AoE. It's nearly as good as nightfall, and definatly worth slotting damages on.

    Yup, TT certainly fares well with dam. Better then tohit debuff.

    I agree sirocco is not the best pick. I go scorpion on mine, def shield goes very well with all the massive accu debuff and it also offers some nice extra control abilities in web enveloppe to keep them nicely clusterd in your toggle debuffs. But ofcourse it mainly is a matter of taste and playstyle.

    I'd also drop both dark pit and blackstar. It's totally pants. Geez, blackstar was more of a let down then all the accumulated complaints together would even slightly expect me it to be! Also being very reliant on your toggles nuking prolly isn't the smartest thing to do...

    Try to aqueeze in nightfall earlier. It's a good attack and you can live on the temp travels early on and postphone SJ till the (late) 20's.
  16. I think corrs are really cool. So I'm wondering what kind of corrs are your favorite and why!?

    I'll start it up:

    Ice/cold: good damage, excellent debuff and good control with all the slows.
    Also like my dark/rad cor: excellent accu debuff when the team understands how clustering and AoE debuff are handled best.
    Fire/dark: great herding + massive AoE damage capacity with nice control potential

    Right now you fire it away and enlighten us!

    -fly isnt that important for PvP. There are other ways to bring them down then using the ST immob and besides good PvP'ers don't use fly usually, except for some specific builds.
    For PvE i like them on some toons indeed depending on powersets

    Thing is that i thought spamming the fast recharging ST immob (from primary) to be a good way to build domination, but if it's true what hammer says i could just as well drop that one as cj offers too high a mag prot to be of use apart from building domi as i meant it to be...

    Don't underestimate crush .. 2 acc 3 dmg and with hasten and siphon speed that power does a huge amount of DoT.
