Hehehehe, I accurately guessed who did it, neener-neener-neener!
"NDA" prevents me from saying more, but I can still gloat. -
Actually, macros were the first place I noticed the issue. Don't generally use binds for them.

Sorry, I just couldn't make myself call it a Crab Spider bug...
Anyway, post level 24, after getting my spider arms outfit, I was overcome by curiosity and asked myself "Self, what would happen if I tried to use the attacks that come from my spider arms while in a 'halloween' costume that doesn't HAVE them?"
So I switched to my PPD enforcer outfit (the only one I have a permanent code for so far) and attacked something...
All of the ranged attacks come out of it's right foot...
Well, except for Suppression, which seems to half-and-half out of the right foot, and out of thin air above his shoulders.
I haven't tried Frenzy yet (the only 'melee' [PBAoE] attack I've taken so far), may need to try that shortly. -
I'm not sure exactly when this started, possibly as far back as i14, but my Grave Knights and Lich no longer execute emote commands. Zombies are unaffected. I've tried issuing the commands as a group (all pets), by type (all Grave Knights, for example) and individually. Only the zombies execute the emote.
It seems to be only a necromancy issue, or at least not a bots issue, as my wife's bots mm doesn't have this problem, but if anyone has a lvl 24+ thugs, mercs and/or ninja mm, their input here would no doubt be handy. -
How's this for research?
"Hmmm... looks like a turd. Smells like a turd. Feels and sounds like a turd. Even ACTS like a turd... OMG!!! IT'S A TURD!!!"
He breaks the rules set by a society and is amazed when the society in question responds the same way any society would respond? I couldn't care less about PvP in general, and this guy sounds like a low-grade moron with an inferiority complex and far too many letters after his name. -

The professor was disturbed that game rules encouraging competition and varied tactics hardly mattered to gaming community members who wanted to preserve a deeply-rooted culture.
He said his experience demonstrated that modern-day social groups making use of modern-day technology can revert to "medieval and crude" methods in trying to manipulate and control others.
"If you aren't a member of the tribe, you get whacked with a stick," he said. "I look at social groups with dismay."

So... he stomps on the established norms of social interaction in a given society... and is "dismayed" when he's cast out.
No wonder he likens it to a "bad high-school experience". Yes, anyone who acts "differently" in a social venue can become an outcast. But at least some have the chance to be accepted... as long as their "different" behavior is "acceptable". I should know; it worked fine for me. -
A couple of observations:
1) The load screen now displays the Paragon Studios logo which, as of last nite, only occurred on test.
2) IIRC, since i10, there have been at least some issues that were downloaded and installed on one day, but didn't actually go live until the following day. -
Of course, you STILL have to wait til 24 to actually GET a "spider-thingie"... :P

Liar; you said more than "wow" -
Gah, gotta dash back and re-do HHNF, then. Hadn't played it since one of your earlier versions.

Other than that, the normal rules for costume changes apply. You can only switch costumes once every 30 seconds . If you try to use a costume change emote sooner or try to switch to the costume slot you're already in, it won't work. You'll look foolish, and everyone will laugh at you.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, this is incorrect. Since adding the magic booster (possibly since i14 went live), I've been able to change costumes every 15 seconds. It even TELLS me "You must wait 16 seconds before changing your costume" only one second before it actually allows me to anyway. -

So why can't you guys just make a special set of animations for anyone in a rob, such that anyone who takes a robe costume piece never moves their legs more than with small steps. I mean, you'd only have to make special versions of what, 80 or 90 percent of the animations? That doesn't seem so bad...

What smoke are you cracking? Seriously, are you joking, or have you been eating paint chips?
Oh, sorry, I meant wall candy.

I think your sarcasm detector is broken... -

Imagine this: you are invited to a Lady Grey TF and don't know what to bring. You get your fortune read on your brute, and it's negative. So you log out and bring your rad instead.

Most of my characters would only use this if there was a "Magic 8-ball" emote for the power animation.
"Magic 8-ball sez youz hozed - go bank mish insted." -
Holy fashion sense, this all looks and sounds frikkin awesome!

Eh, I suppose Av'Adn looks as much like a Dark Templar as any other Rikti does.

*cackles* Good show! This looks to be a lot more interesting than a fight with the Honoree!
The picture was very good too, though it reminded me a lot of the new Dark Templar from Starcraft 2. Who drew it?
[/ QUOTE ]
That would be me. And no, I've never even seen Starcraft 2. -

OK, dumb question related to the first part of the first post in this thread - how do I access the NVidia Control Panel to change the settings listed?
[/ QUOTE ]
Start menu > Control Panel > NVIDIA Control Panel, at least that's how I get there in XP. -
What's the definition of "high-end cards" here? Didn't see specifics in the original post.
I'm currently running a GeForce 7800 GTX. May be upgrading in Feb, but still... -
Finally fixing the SG costume color-mode. Honestly, that was my single biggest peeve in the ENTIRE game, hands down, bar none.
A close second? Considering the number of MMs I play, the group pet upgrades.
Other highs for me: costume copies, pain domination, shield defense, the merit system, flashback missions, character transfer and renaming, additional server slots, the cyborg pack... long list really. -
