  1. Good run last night. We made short work of the dreaded first treespec and then in the time left over ran a Cap SF, during which Bat Zul fled repeatedly into the lava. It's not for nothing that he looks like a giant roast chicken.

Next week, The Temple of the Waters Strike Force!
  2. They simply would never have had time to work on something like that between Halloween and Winter event testing.
  3. I'm probably True Neutrel. In that I aspire to equality and provisions of freedoma nd dignity for everyone where I can, but often come up well short of those aspirations.

Blood Spectre is Neutrel Evil to the core. He encourages fear and murder everywhere he goes.

  5. Okay team, tonight is the treespec. We might need to fill out with some PUGers, but that's okay. Also, I am having some trouble with my Global Friends list, so if you see me on, send me a message for an invite.

It's like a twenty. But there are TWO of them!

    Or, so the legend goes.
  7. Seriously... sometimes people who leave for a long time come back. Knowing that those characters are exactly as they left them is a draw for those lapsed players to return. You are suggesting that NC would burn that bridge to appease a customer who, let's face it, is rather unlikely to leave over the matter?

Or, let me put it like this. If I took a year off from this game, under this policy, I'd never return.

Fair is fair. If your not going to play the rep game then you shouldn't be able to hide behind the grey jellybeans and still rep people.
Fair is fair. I wouldn't need this at roll out to be satisfied though. But then, I have never been one to hide my rep either.
  9. Uh, I think they announced that they were going to do like an article or something on that date. That's it though.
  10. You want to know if it's the inspiration for CoH architetecture? Go inside and check the elevators. If they only go between a single floor and are spaced as far as possible from eachother between floors, then yes, that's our muse.

Yes. On every single thing you have ever posted. Ever.

It had nothing to do with moderation as it's very easy to moderate rep comments and those leaving them.

We still would like to find a way to implement it so the comments are viewable however we will not do it unless we find a way for those not interested in it to turn it off.
I think that would be best for everyone. Thanks for shedding some light on the issue.

    Deal.
And I'll go ahead and voice my opinion that you are wrong, and your stubborn repetition of the same point over and over again isn't really contributing to the discussion in any meaningful way. You disagree. We understand. We understood it several pages ago as well. We didn't find your position on the debate convincing then, and have not found it convincing with further echoes in subsequent posts.

    Deal.

I mean, in what universe do you live in anyway? They told us MONTHS in advance that a new and improved forum was coming, and that there would be changes. Nobody could have predicted what those exact changes were, certainly. However, you were given every reason to expect minor changes in the forum experience. What they delivered was a forum very much like the old one, with a few improvements. Which is exactly what they said they would do. And no, they were under no obligation to run the specific improvements by you first, sorry. That's not the way the Host/User relationship works on an internet forum.

    So, yeah, yanno. Deal.

It's called "developing a reputation" in real life as well, in case you missed it.

Once you get one, people pretty much leave you alone, if they've got nothing constructive to say to you.

Some people have their mothers teach them "if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all."

Others.... Well, they have to learn the hard way.

    *EDIT*
As a side note, I've never personally met someone that wasn't loyal enough to their immediate family to protect their mother, father, brother, and sister's good name.

Then again, I suppose there's a first time for everything.... Nice to meet you, Blood Spectre!
Yes you are a towering momument of masculinity, fearsome and terrible, and no man would dare to speak ill of you or your kin! Better watch your step guys, Alien's in town.

Or, you know, maybe you're just full of it. Because I can tell you this from personal experience, cultivating a reputation as a man who responds to challenges with his fists doesn't keep fights away from you. It brings them on. Until eventually you fight somewhere public enough that the police catch up to you and haul your disruptive and unruly *** out of polite society for a couple of years. Meanwhile, the grown ups have learned to handle our pride without all the chest thumping and urine measuring. Well, less of it anyway.

Now, as for that last bit, let's just be clear as to what exact insult you are attempting to lob at me. Are you saying that my family doesn't have a good name? Or that I am too cowardly to defend it? Or are you suggesting instead that I don't love my family if I don't feel the need to punch people on their behalf?

When someone can do that while hiding behind anonymity (because they're obviously the type of person who can't handle the "reprocussions" of saying it to your face), I don't have that 'luxury.'

On another note, I daresay you haven't received anything worse than "jerk" in your rep comments, because people who don't like you (such as myself) would rather say it to your face or just straight up ignore you. I don't personally feel a need to use some sort of 'smoke screen' to anonymously put you down or insult you.

Then again, I haven't insulted you or put you down. I may completely disagree with your approach or what you say to people (whether you're factually correct or not) or just plain out not like you, but that doesn't give me a "right" to insult you, your family, or your intelligence.

    "Alien"
You go through life decking out everyone who insults you, and let me know how that works out for you. Just make sure you behave in prison, so that you're allowed to have visitors, and I will come see you and you can tell me all about how that played out.

Now, Goat aside, I have personally been attacked with things worse than "jerk", (because I am a raging rectum of a man) both anonymously and directly. Or, I assume, directly. I suppose it's possible that someone could have lied and signed someone else's name to their comments. It's not as if I would be able to tell the difference. Even so, I still like the system. I got far more affirmations than I did insults, and I would very much like it if it were easy for people to pat me on the back once again.

I have no idea who those people are, so I'll have to trust you on that.

Ok. Because there are totally so many people complaining about being frivolously reported for no good reason. Sounds to me like you're worried that you might be guilty of something, and are looking for a way out of getting reported, by suggesting that anyone notifying a moderator is wasting their time. I just calls em as I sees em.

If that's the case, genuine time wasters will get punished as well. As you already said, there is precedent. Meanwhile, let's let the mods decide who is wasting their time, not you know, you.
