Niiiice....
Best I can claim so far for any of my characters is for my Scrapper(CapeMike); appearances in 2 issues of 'The Spectacular Sparky' and a cameo(non-speaking) in an episode of 'Queens of King's' episode 6 (starting about 5:10) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gew4...e=channel_page
I'd love to get mixed up in a crossover pic...but, I'm not quite THAT popular yet, heh.... -
having trouble posting any kind of reply...Ill try to post some results later....

I've never trusted copying files over.
Best thing, just download the exe from NCsoft and patch it, it'll download and install at the same time.
(Mac version took me just over 2 hours to install)
Good luck though!

Actually, I had to copy CoH files like this once....
Awhile back, shortly before I had DSL, something was being tested...mighta' been CoV, but I decided to download the thing onto this PC, burned all the files to a series of CD-Rs, dropped them onto my computer, and it worked just fine...I see no reason I couldn't do it the other way, using a USB flash-drive...my only concern is this PC's video capabilities.... -
If it were me, I'd go to Disney on my birthday...and I may still be able to do that, but it's a long shot....
-
Update time....
My own PC still isn't online, but I just ran a test on THIS one at http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest
...and I -could- run the game on this one...it passes the minimum specs fairly easily, and is about halfway to 'recommended'.
Now the question is, how do I safely copy the files from my PC to THIS one(I'm thinking USB flash drive, of which I have one), AND would my parents even let me...it's -their- computer, after all.... Guess I'll talk to them about it. -
I blame you for making me miss all you guys in-game, at least until September....

Specifically you'll probably want to contact Pyrria- she's our Events organizery type person.

Emailing her now in another window as I type this.... -
Just needing any of the DJ's with some time on his hands to toss me a private message...I'm planning something, and would like to know if it's a viable idea...a 'thank you' of sorts to my friends....

Good idea, actually, Moldy!
Have to move that one up on the list.... -

Have you checked out the TF on Test yet?

Wish I could...but still no internet access for my PC.... -

Do you think they just came early? That looked awesome.

There's actually a story behind that 2nd clip; when Disney was beginning their Year of a Million Dreams promotional event for 2007(which proved to be SO successful, that they did it again for 2008), they held a special contest to kick it off...the Spangler family won, and got the Magic Kingdom to THEMSELVES for half a day! -
Guess I'll toss in something as well...:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pr9PhaJPOJg Now THIS is what I call pure mecha overkill! Can we say 'PWNED', boys and girls? ...and yes, jade, that -was- a reference to your 1st vid....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egZj8LjVkaY On a brighter note, this is something I can hardly even imagine...having the entire park to myself for half a day.... *sigh* -
Actually, AG, it'll be early/mid September before I know for certain I'll be back full-time, but rest assured, at present, you're WAY up on the list of candidates....

My 1st true pet(disregarding a goldfish I got when I was 4 that I only remember through 2 pictures) was a small Cocker Spaniel/Dauschaund cross, tri-colored, and rather Benji-like in appearance otherwise...I was only 8 years old then, and he was only 8 -weeks- old, but it didn't take long for Digger(as my mom would name him) to entrench himself firmly in my life...; stubborn to a fault, I still suspect he was actually far smarter than he let on.
I literally grew up with him, and his life, except for a few very scary near-misses(he once attempted to attack a St. Bernard 10 times his weight...it didn't go very well), was happy and otherwise uneventful; as he entered his -EIGHTEENTH- year of life, he was already the Methuselah of the community pets, far outliving every other dog I remember seeing during that time....
Tragically, time finally began to take it's toll on him, and the last 6 months of his life were much slower and less active; he spent his days during the spring and summer of 1998 mostly lying in the sun, and rarely moving, except to eat and find another spot in the sun or our garage to rest.
September rolled around, and it was becoming obvious that his days were numbered, and this time, there would be no miraculous recovery like 3 other episodes in his life that should have, by all rights, resulted in his passing; one Saturday morning, I awoke to the sound of pained barks, spread out once every few minutes...; I quickly discovered that my mother had brought him into the utility/washroom and that his time was very short...his sight appeared to've abruptly left him and it was painfully obvious that he was scared....
We made the decision to have him put to sleep the following Monday, and I went to work that afternoon utterly dreading what was to come...; perhaps as his last gift, he spared me this dreadful task, quietly(and peacefully, according to my parents) passing away while I was at work. My parents wanted to give his remains to his Vet, but I VEHEMENTLY opposed this plan, all but demanding that he be laid to rest in the corner of the yard closest to where his 1st doghouse had sat for years...they gave in to my pleas, and to this very day, the 3 dogs now owned by my parents give that corner a wide berth when they're roaming around...instinct? Who knows....
Tell your pets, feathered, furry, or otherwise, that you love them...and they'll always return it.... -

Hey, I have a question. Is is "allowed" to ask for someone to pay for a month of CoX in the forums FOR you?
[/ QUOTE ]
While I appreciate the thought more than you can imagine, Moldy, it's just that I can't get my PC online...it's in a room with no means of connecting...;o.k., there -are- 2 ways, neither of which would be pleasant, and I'm not sure 1 of them would even work...:
The 1st is to have the old phone jack in the room reactivated and have a new DSL line installed; this would be the easiest way, but it makes no sense to pay for installation and 2 months of service whereupon I'd have no use for it once I leave.
The 2nd could involve a USB wifi adaptor...we have a router in another room that the PC I'm typing this on now is hooked into...and while my Wii can pick it up fine(the Wii is configured to 'read' it), I dunno the router's WIP info and have no means(or even HOW to) of getting this...and would this even work in the 1st place?
[/ QUOTE ]
if your wireless was setup by your service provider, call them and ask them to help walk you thru it. If it is not from your ISP there is always the owners manual or look up instructions on the manufacturers website. If you need a USB WiFi adapter send me a PM , I have a few new in the box lying around. For as much of a great help you were to the SG , hero and vill side, back in the day , it's the least I can do.
[/ QUOTE ]
I appreciate the offer, and will definitely be keeping it in mind.
I didn't even think about looking up the website for the company that made the router...*makes note*....
What still puzzles me is that the router, while hooked up to a new computer and with a wifi usb adaptor, can still talk to my Wii fine, but the DS Lite that I have can't anymore, despite it talking to it fine while the router was still on -my- PC.... -
Though I presently have no access to the screenshots(and will try to fix this soon), I have a Defender with a loosely New Zealand-themed costume, all black/silver/white, named MoonKiwi...if I can dig up the shots of her in the next few days, I'll try to toss them your way.
-
Again, I appreciate the thought, but you hang onto that account...I'll find a way to post by proxy, just you wait....

I remember back on OoBe in the old days when NOIS (Now: Kois) was a new player I'd always pester him about playing the Croatoa TF with me. We had lots of fun. He was a badge [censored] if there ever was one!He enjoyed doing it Anyway, the point of my story is that NOIS used to play CoH on a Computer from one of those public places where you pay to play. I'm not sure if he was using his own computer or using the one they provided which is what I had always assumed because he came on once and was asking around if he did anything really mean to people and stuff. He said he left his account online by accident or something and someone got on there. Anywhoooo... Don't do anything illegal just to play the game
I'll still be here. I just can't figure out how to use a widow. I'll be trying to figure it out until you return.
Question 2: Can you still post on the forums even if you stop paying/put your account on hold?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm still looking for a decent local internet cafe...if the fees are reasonable, and the place looks safe enough, I could play from there...I'll update as events warrant there....
To answer the next question; once your account goes inactive, you can read, but NOT post here...I'd be a pure lurker...but I could always have someone post a message for me via email or some such....
...on another note, when I *DO* come back, there's something I've always wanted to do in-game...; I've always dreamt of hand-picking a group of players(instead of just recruiting at large) to run a challenging TF/SF...taking the best players I know personally, and kicking the living bajeezus out of it!Nothing like a speedrun, persay, but just steamrolling over anything the TF/SF could put in our path....
Ah well, if nothing else, I have awhile to think about it! -

As most of you know, I've recently had to move in with my parents due to a combination of being unemployed and planning to relocate to New Zealand in September to be with Alicia...and with a little luck, I'm gonna be there for a -long- time....
...at present, my PC is still without it's own online connection, and I don't anticipate it getting one right through when I'm planning on leaving Tennessee....
Tragically, this means that there's no point in investing the monthly fee to play if I cant -play-, and every little bit helps right now for this trip.
I'm of the understanding that even with the account deactivated for a few months, I won't lose any of my characters(but will likely lose anything that was in Wenthworths), but won't gain any Veteran progress....
I also won't be able to post, but I WILL continue to read the forums everyday as I have ever since signing up...I'm also in the process of arranging for someone to keep me updated of anything out of the ordinary that occurs in-game.
Now this by no stretch of the imagination means I'm gone for good...come early September, once I'm settled in with Alicia, our new PC will find itself loaded up and ready to once again be blasting the bad guys into next week!
I'm paid up until July 9th, I believe, so until then, I'll be around as usual, trying to make sure those closest to me have a way to reach me once I can't post anymore....
...this REALLY sucks, you know...I need my friends now more than ever, as I prepare for the biggest adventure of my life...and I can't be with them.... -
At this point, I'm gonna be lucky to be able to play CoH again at ALL until September...it's not exactly feasible to have a new line installed just for my PC for a mere 2 months...my parents' PC MIGHT be able to run the game, but I wouldn't bet on it....
May be taking an unwilling vacation from the game for a few months unless I can figure out another plan and soon! -

Define "Mages"

It probably refers to the Agony Mage Gladiator; considered horribly overpowered by most(including myself), 1 is a pain to deal with...anymore, and unless you've got your own with you, the match is basically over before it starts! O_o
I doubt I'll be back online in time to participate, but if I could, you know I'd be there...I love Gladiator matches in the arena.... -

For me, it's usually either Diet Green Tea(preferably a Lipton brand) or any flavor of Diet Dr. Pepper...if I know ahead of time it's gonna be a long night of face-kicking, then Code Red Mtn. Dew gets the call....
