Original Bio:
Description: Born Betty Black Thorn, and raised under the long shadow of her father, the crime lord known as Dark Thorn, one might have expected this hero to take a different path in life. Her father certainly had plans for her to take up the family trade, as he had been exposing her to his world full of greed, and lust for power from an early age.

Fortunately, Betty never felt at ease under her father's wing. She was finally able to break free from his influence, when she discovered her mother's identity. Even though she had been missing since her birth, Betty felt more of a connection to her mother, who had been the Silver Age heroin Mourning Glory.

Confronting Dark Thorn about her mother's disappearance threw the man in to a rage. The resulting battle severed any remaining familial ties between them. Betty decided to distance herself from her father's reach as best she could, and moved to a city as far removed from his ideals as possible. A city of heroes, where she took up the name BlackberryThorn, and fought for light's glory, in her mother's name.

On a side note: The in-game description doesn't allow me to go in to detail, explaining that Betty's father is a multi-dimensional alien. His species is capable of existing in any number of divergent realities at the same time, sharing one consciousness with multiple bodies. Since Thorn was born from a human mother with empathic abilities, she was able to hold on to her human emotions. While at the same time, her father's alien influence gave her a faint connection to all the other Thorn daughters, born in different realities. This gave her access to a variety of other mental abilities, shared amongst her other selves.

I took the half alien mind/empath literally and she is sporting her circa 1970's sci-fi alien outfit. Or, I guess you could say it is a little G-Force inspired as well.

So, I had to squint really hard, but I think I got the gist of the theme. Black/Red/White with skulls, and a splash of regen green. I had a difficult time deciding which futuristic theme to go with. At first, I really wanted to do a Planet of the Apes future, but that would pretty much have him in a torn battle kilt, and not much else >_>

And I wanted to stay away from power armor, so instead, I chose cybernetics!

Kind of hazy, but at least you can see details in the black.

The way I saw it, even with his dark powers sustaining him, there were still drawbacks. For example, they might only be able to awaken him for brief durations, every century or so, to take part in important events, and battles. And the powers didn't always keep him in one piece, just as there were gaps in his memories, now and then, the powers couldn't maintain parts of his body.

The solution? Science! Wandering through history, as medical science advanced, it began to resemble magic more and more. And as the world changed, and evolved, so did his body, and powers.

What has science done?!

Actually, I didn't have a dark/regen model, so my dark/shield scrapper The Otherknight took up the cause ; ) I thought the dark shield went well with the theme. No reason people's powers cannot change in the future >_>

For now, Molly and Olly nom on Science Diet. It's what they were fed in the shelter, and I did not want to change anything right off the bat. They have had both the dry variety, and the prescription wet food, when they had their colds, and they couldn't smell their dry stuff, so wouldn't nom it.

Pretty soon I am going to find another food-stuff that I approve of for them, and start using it as a "treat" for them. That way, when they aren't feeling well, or if they some how get out of the house on accident they will have another food they are accustomed to, and also, I will have a lure >_>

I want to keep my kittens used to different things, hopefully leaving more options if/when they become finicky, or set in their ways. Also, going to slowly get them used to wearing a harness, just because it seems like something fun to do ^_^ Right now, though, the harness is just another tow to chew on, and bat at <_<

ok on the subject of declawing..as i work at a vet....

yes we do declaw cats how ever we only reccommend the front ONLY bc if the cat does get out it can defend itself and climb a tree if it needs to get away from something... if the owner wants all four (which we strongly try to discourage the owner ) we make them sign that they want all four done... how ever alos we dont ask the owner if they want declawing done , the owner has to request it...so i do find it odd that the vet asked you if you wanted it BBT

Muh? Oh, no no, misinterpretation there. The vet did not ask me if I wanted them declawed. The owner of the rescue program asked me if I was planning on having any kittens declawed, even before I met them. If I had said yes, they would have refused to meet me outright, I am sure.

I am already immune to kitteh claws! Years of kitteh love, and punishment have left me scarred, and incapable of feeling pain! Meeewahahahahaaa!

So glad they are not declawed. Even my vet looked at me weird when I said I din't want mine to be declawed during the neutering/spaying process.

I think declawing cats is mean, just incase they get outside or are outdoor cats they can't defend em selves, u can teach em when and when not to use there claws.

Only one of ours is declawed but she was my mother in laws cat first then she just ended up staying here I guess

Most adoption and rescue places around here won't even let you near their kittens if you mention declawing. The head of the program I went through pretty much interviewed me over the phone before setting up an appointment for me to visit the kittens. She even told me as I was adopting Molly and Olly that at first, she wasn't sure if she wanted to let me have them, since I was "so young" >_>

Well, yeah, I suppose 27 is relatively young, but I guess she mistook me for one of those kids with a life. You know, the kind that has parties, and spends all night drinking, dancing, and cavorting around town, sleeping with all the loose women o.0 I love being judged at a glance, it's always fun >_>

Daaaaaw! Kittens in their natural element! Crammed in to tight spaces, looking helpless and cute ; )

And yeah, my sister was a bit surprised when I told her about Olivia over the phone. She had to work in Seattle, while my other sister and I went kitten hunting last Saturday. We had an orange kitty named Sparky back when we were all still kids, and I think Olivia is going to have a build a lot like his. She'll be a silly orange fluffball indeed ^_^

They are all tuckered out after their vet visit today. Decided to skip work so I could walk them down, and make sure they had lots of love today. I don't drive, but the vet clinic is only about 10 minutes away for me, and I want to keep Molly and Olly used to people, and going for walks. I want to try to harness train them, so once they stop being small and squidgy, I'll see if I can fit them in one.

They're all gookey eyed, thanks to their kennel colds, and the reason Olly did not want to eat this morning, was that she could not smell her food. I picked up some super stinky wet food, which they both love, and mixed it with some of their dry. They are happy, in spite of the medication I gave them, and I will surely suffer messy stinky poos later this evening as a reward >_<

Hah! Jonesy! If Olivia wasn't a girly girl, you know I would have gone for that name ; ) Jones, the only real survivor of the original Alien tragedy. They got Ripley in the end >_>

Skipping work today, and walking Molly and Olly to the vet. I wanted to register them with the local vet any way, but the girls have been congested, sneezy, and getting gooky eyes. Molly is in high spirits today, but Olly is worn out, and extra stuffy today. Who needs work any way : p Kittens always come first!

It is not sidetracking, or even thread jacking! It is a thread about kittehs, and all their wonders ; ) Sure, a Guardian pet thread wouldn't hurt, but don't shy away from posting kitty pics and stories here ^_^

Kittens, I love them! Right now, these girls have more toys then they can play with at one time ; ) Between the balls, bits of cloth, mice, scratch pads, feather chasers, human fingers and toes, their own toes and tails, just about anything that moves, and no-see-ums, there is hardly any time for them to sleep >_>

Their favorite toys at the moment, seem to be the circular ball tracks. Molly can sit in the middle, while Olly dashes around the track whacking the ball around. Hours of entertainment there. When they aren't wrestling or chasing one another. They seem to have their own special kitty-fu, complete with kicks, flips, sleeper holds, and tail nomming.

I think they have set rules, and a point system, but I just can't figure it out with my stupid human thought patterns.

My sister has been stopping by when she gets off work, to play with the kittens. That way she can have kittens vicariously through me, without having to lose sleep when they are running around on her head, fighting some eternal battle against the gods of rest.

OMG yay! They both used the litter box, one after the other! My kittens are so good! ^_^ I am very proud of my stinky girls. I called my Mom today to say happy birthday, and she said since all her kids had cats, she would just have to adopt them all as her grandchildren >_> My family is a bit odd, but what family isn't ; )

Oh, and on a less kitteny note, I decided to cancel the recurring subscription for the Seraphs four accounts today. Since I have two bebbehs to take care of now, I don't have the time, focus, or free hands to play Team Jupiter. I am sure they will be back, in time, when the kittens become cattens, and start to ignore me out of spite and love, and loving spite ; )

Until then, Team Jupiter's time is up June 26th, so I may need to plan something for that weekend. Or just try to squeeze some time in for them when the girls are napping.

Forget teaching them not to chew on electronics. If it doesn't have a pulse, they don't seem to care. I need to find a way to teach Olly, food doesn't come out when you gnaw on my fingers >_>

My days of peacefully sleeping in are probably over now ; ) And just now, one kitty mess later, probably finished having any peace at all. This is the price I pay for unbearable cuteness ; ) Miss Molly can make a mighty stinky poo : p

Things I learned tonight! Olly is an armpit sleeper! Olivia seems to enjoy curling up under my arm when it is time for me to sleep. Molly likes to smother Olly when it is bedtime! And since Olly is under my armpit, that means I get Molly there too, trying as hard as she can to absorb her sister.

Molly also likes sleeping under my chin, and possibly sees my face as an object to be cuddled. I don't get to pick how I sleep any more, since the bed no longer belongs to me >_>
