    The origins for everyone /should/ be Natural, unless you have Darkness powers, which would make it Mutant.
  3. I'm jsut saying without using any IO sets or anything, and it takes some decent global recharge to get mind link perma. It'd be better to rotate mind links between the widow and forts on top of the Maneuvers. At this point its all just icing on that cake, but the more the better I always say.

    Also, as an afterthought to putting icing on the cake, may as well ahve everyone take darkest night from the Soul mastery Set. If they can take it that is.
  4. I honestly believe Crabs make the best condidate for Alpha, thanks to IOs, especially with Fortitude, and having Tough on top of that will turn him intoa real Alpha strike. My opinion for the team buildup would be as follows.

    1 TanCrab (Takes Tough and Weave for surivability and melee attacks)
    1 Bane (Standard Bane)
    1 AoECrab (Standard Crab)
    1 CrabMind (Standard Crab with a focus on Global Recharge and the Pets)
    1 Huntsman (Rifle focus, taking the Leadership toggles as wll as the TT toggles)
    1 Night Widow (Standard)
    2 Fortunatas (This hlps fill in a DPS gap as well as a control gap)

    This is based entirely on the soldiers TT: Maneuvers offering more Defense than the Widow counterpart. This team setup ensures Softcapped defense by about level 10. From there on the rest of the game is just cake. To be honest that setup is mostly just my ideal setup for theme and for functionality. TanCrab takes alpha, Night Widow and Bane stealth strike, Crab and Huntsman AoEs go off, as well as the Fort AoEs. Should make for a quick mob kill.

    I'd say yes on Stamina for everyone, it really make life easy for VEATs seeing as they all have the TT toggles. I would say Yes to everyone taking ALL of the TT toggles by the level 24 respec. Once you ahve them all everything will be just infinitely easy, maneuvers included. I'd say the Huntsman can skip the Pool power Maneuvers though, however he should assault, Tactics, and Vengeance. If at any point someone dies you'll have 4 Vengeance, which will ensure victory.

    Hmm... Huntsman build style, yes. The Group toggles would make for a great support buffer for the brute, and the rest of us.

    With Pain and Dark we soud be fine, the last set could be either Traps or Kin, pick whichever, it doesnt really matter which. Also, I think we have Dark Blast already, and we lack Assault Rifle. Rifle puts out some VERY Good damage that we may need, so consider it a viable option.

    Does everyone have their characters ready? Remember first level benchmark is 14-16, let us know once you get there.

    Correct. We are lacking corruptors at the moment I think. The MM hasnt responded since his first post. If you want that spot then send him a PM to see if he;s still interested.

    First level Benchmark is going to be between levels 14-16. we'll have a night where we can team to 20 or so then meet 4 levels later for the respec trial.

    Ok, now for the backround on the group! The group is an information dealing organizatio like Malta with very big plans. However, they're more like private mercenaries than anything, remaining secret and covering their tracks. Almost everyone in the group has been trained to access the Telepathy network, with which they maintain their secrecy through silence. Anyone who cannot access this network must wear a special helmet that allows them too.

    Due to the psychic nature of most of the abilities granted through this group, almost everyone has achieved a sort of internal "zen" if you will. They understand balance, power, and the mysteries of the mind. Think of them as monks. They fight with honor and hold wisdom higher than anything else.

    All of their bladed weapons are actualy projected psychic energy. The Magnolias found a means to focus that energy into blades, through small focusing lenses placed in a specific order.

    Weapons:
    -Rifle: Once you have access to it the costume vangaurd redding rifle (primary #1, secondary #151)
    -Bladed weapons: Once you have access to them, Talsorian Weapon, Primary color is 153 or 154, secondary is either a bright yellow, red, or cyan.


    Things like assasin and ninja lower face covers are fine if you feel you want one, colors for them are #1 primary, #152 secondary.

    Ok I've got someone else who wants magnolias, he wants to roll a Ninja Blade/Ninjitsu Stalker for it, and it fits the theme perfectly. I'm going to settle on Magnolias as a theme after that 4th vote.

    Heres a team makeup I'd like to see

    1 Mastermind (Mercs/Traps, Dark, Pain)
    2 Corruptors (Assault Rifle, Dark Blast/Kinetics, Dark Miasma, Pain, Traps)
    1 Dominator (Mind/Psi)
    1 Stalker (taken, Ninja/Ninja)
    2 Brutes (Dual Blades, Axe, Super Strength/Willpower, Invulnerability, Super Reflexes)

    I'd like to see at least 1 person with traps for theme reasons. I'll post a costume template shortly.

    I'm rolling a Widow for this and going Fortunata which eliminates the Dominator slot, sorta. We'll see what happens.

    EDIT: Will post costume later today, just come up with character ideas for now. I got a headstart with my friend who rolled the Stalker. We're now level 16 (after some basic missions, bank farming, and some AE). The SG is made and ready to go. Come up with some ideas and I'll gladly back it up!

    Ok, as of this thread and some PMs I've recieved, the votes go as follows.

    EDIT: This isnt a strict tally, it's just how many people prefer certain themes. Some people have multipe choices, all of which I will count as a vote.

    Also, post available times during the week so we know when to schedule TFs and such.

    Well it's not ENTIELY Veats. You can roll a Corrptor or a Stalker or something with Electric powers and be a Mu Mystic, but just be a Destined one who was assigned to the team.

    That's right, I'm thinking of putting together a superteam. Not a Static Team or a Supergroup, just a Superteam. We can team together sometimes and set level bars to reach and do TFs together until endgame-ish and then get into a RPSG together.

    Now I'm open to Ideas of course, and I'm open to play a villain or a hero team. So far, some Ideas I've heard are:

    -Classic Golden Age teamup (This would includes the very basic combinations a Golden Age group has. Martial Arts or Broadsword Scrap, a Psychic, a simple combination of the chilche'd combos)

    -Mercenary Team (Works for either side, being a bit more on the unorthodox side. Could be Vangaurd Themed or whatnot)

    -An Entirely natural origin group (A bit harder to pull off, and would require Assault Rifle, Willpower, Martial Arts, and other weapons sets to create a synergetic team)

    -All Paragon Protectors and/or former Crey Agents. (Speaks for itself)

    -PPD (Can have Rifle/Dev blasters, a peacebringer, A Basic tank, Psi-Cops etc.)

    -Arachnos-themed elite squad (An excuse for me to play a Huntsman build, as well as a means to have a VEAT-heavy team, as well as an excuse for people to think inside a pre-set box :P)

    -Magnolias (A custom group I came up with that uses alot of psychic powers, units and powersets included are Mind Control, Psychic Blast, Super Reflexes, Super Strength, Invul, WP, Kinetics, Dark Blast, Dark miasma, Pain Dom, Mercenaries, Traps, Assaut Rifle, Talsorian Bladed weapons/shield (all weapons but mace). This has a slightly strict name setup and costume (sorta) but has plenty or room fo leway. This is one of my personal favorites and would be Redside.)

    -Whatever you come up with!

    If anyone is interested or wants to get in on this, post here with ideas!

    This team doesnt need to be 8 people or perfect, just a fun RP project.
