I have Inferno slotted 3xDamage 3xRecharge. I generally use it as a panic button, but I have kamikaze tendencies and have to panic a lot

My Fire/Kin is my favourite toon to solo, he's my favourite toon over all in fact. I don't see why people seem to think Kin is such a purely team-based set. If you want to build a pure solo build with it, then its no challenge to just skip SB and Increase Density, and Fulcrum Shift works just as well on one person.

Yes, it is a challenge sometimes, a single hold can take me very close to death, but that just makes the play more exciting. My SS/Stone Brute is of course a lot safer to solo, even on the highest difficulty its rare to find a mob that poses much of a challenge, but I do such low damage that it becomes a boring grind to power through the mobs, no excitement at all. Fire/Kin is the complete opposite, to stand any chance of finishing a mission without faceplanting I have to be on my toes all the time, if I play well then I can wipe out the mobs quickly before they get to hit back, and I have to work to keep myself alive. But that's the whole FUN!

Depends what kind of pet you have, and who else is on your team with heals. If you're a Bot/dark, then you'll probably be standing in with your bots anyway so its fine to hit your heals in amongst all your henchies (unless of course you see someone going down in the fray, then you might want to jump in and give them a quick heal). But if you're playing with ninjas, and you have several ranged players and a /Kin on your team, you're probably better to stay near the other ranged toons and let the kin keep your pets alive. Just remember that (generally) the other players/healers won't know how much health your pets have, only you know whether the pets or other players are closest to death.

Still dunno if I'll be able to make it though, was hoping I'd get the freespec from I7 before 3rd June, but it isnt looking likely

I'll try to be there with my SS/Stone Brute, although he's currently sitting at lvl 18 and in desperate need of a respec already. He'll probably be cannon fodder but hey, every little helps.
